  • Dont get me wrong, i agree with your comments 100%, these were the days when women dressed & behaved like women should, not like todays women at all, which are 90% false in all aspects.

  • These women blow the likes of the popular actresses today. For me these women get by on shear looks, style, and no phooney lips or plastic features. Give them to me anyday over the starlets of today.

  • Beautiful 3:19

  • A hark back to the days where women dressed like women, behaved like women and were respected for being a woman, not like the gutter trash we have today, that have no respect for themselfs whatsoever, and behave like slobs.

    great video.

  • @nikonuser2u

While I agree to a point with you, they weren't all saints by any stretch.

  • what music is this i like it,i love the melody, who is it by

  • @beautifults1 I'm sorry, I don't remember. It's one of the songs that comes free with onetruemedia.

  • Well done.

My heart jumped when I saw the first picture was the loveliest lady of them all.

    Gene Eliza Tierney.

  • @barbielindaful Merci beaucoup :)

  • Great pictures of the actresses. But I feel uncomfortable with the idea of putting some of the pictures in a flakes box...

  • @sauronsdaugther Haha well this was the first video I ever made so it was mostly just experimental but thanks :)

  • THANK YOU! for posting and sharing with us!

  • @SuperTornado2212 You're very welcome, lovely! Glad you enjoyed it <3

  • @12moxx They certainly do.

  • as i said, your implication was that if we don't know the names of these actresses, we should not watch the video. just a plain a-hole way to think, imo. but i'll run along now, as you wish. goodbye and bad luck.

  • what i like in the old hollywood ladies is the few makeup and the aristocratic style! Most of them have a natural beauty. Nowadays its difficut to find a natural beautiful lady and moreover the beautiful ladies that we find are plastic....Well it is sad that we are living in a world that beauty is really rare to find....

  • @ariabm44 you right todays beautys are based upon alot of makeup, there is only a few,its crazy cause most of these women look better than the hollywood women today,im an obsessed fan of the 50s and 60s and im a 90s baby,i love there sex appeal, style, how the women back than carry themselves, didnt need gimmicks to b beautiful unlike black and white women today

  • @beautifults1 I'm a 90's kid too! But I'm more into the 30's and 40's ;)

  • there are plenty of other videos on youtube dedicated to the old-time actresses, properly subtitled with the actresses' names. i will stick with those from now on.

  • @No1KCfan6 There are plenty of people who comment nicely and not like entitled bastards. I'll pay attention to those. There are also plenty of people who actually know what they are watching on a video and don't expect the maker to cater to their personal desires. I did not make this video for you, therefore I do not give a damn what you say. Titles often take away from the beauty of the video and will never be seen on my tribute videos. Go run along and stop wasting your time with me. Fucker...

  • "If you're watching this video you should already have a preconceived idea of who is in it." oh, really? why would you assume that? i've never even heard of claudia cardinale. you seem to be saying that because i don't know every classic hollywood actress, i shouldn't be watching this video, nor should anyone else who isn't familiar with every classic hollywood actress, for that matter. that's ignorant. and try not to swear in the comments of your own video.

  • sorry for my ignorance please tell me who is actress @ 1:40 in the video - she stunningly beautiful - thanks

  • vivien leigh. no one else could ever look like her. the way her eyes were set was like artwork. it's like an artist carefully crafted her face.

  • @No1KCfan6 Yep, totally agree.

  • couldn't you have slapped some names up on the video so we would know who we were looking at?

  • @No1KCfan6 yeah good idea - name at bottom of screen

  • @No1KCfan6 No, OTM does not offer that option. And it's assumed that whoever watches this will be able to identify the people. The names are included in the description.

  • @LexiixoxRoxx you assumed wrong

  • @No1KCfan6 Hey don't sass me kay? I made this video how I wanted to and it was my first and I was completely happy with the result. And you know what? I still am.There is no need to be rude especially considering how hard I worked to make this. Not only does the website I use not offer a subtitle feature but if you're watching this video you should already have a preconceived idea of who is in it. If you are so partial to subtitles make your own fucking video but do not tell me how to make mine.

  • can you please tell me the name of the first song? :)

  • @Sanjiska "Truly Madly Deeply" by Patty Carlson :)

  • @LexiixoxRoxx thank you ^^

  • @Sanjiska Anytime, dear :)

  • Who's got the hard on for Vivian Leigh ???!!!

  • @19cake69 Excuse me? I'm not sure what you mean :/

  • who's at 4:52?

  • @VTMCompany Greer Garson from Pride & Prejudice and Goodbye Mr. Chips :)

  • Excellent.

    Thank you.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • This is a lovely video, I love the actresses you included- especially Vivien Leigh, Hedy Lamarr and Gene Tierney. Those three stand out as especially beautiful, I think, and Vivien Leigh is my favourite actress of all time. I think she was just stunning, and beats Hedy Lamarr in my opinion but only just (they look a bit similar anyway). I'm glad to see that you obviously love her too with the many pictures you included of her.

  • Flat out L-O-V-E-L-Y video:D

And I personally think with the right director Hedy Lamarr might have been a stellar comedian. Through out all of her roles that sharp wit was always present.

  • @IngridBergmanRocked I can't believe I didn't reply sooner! I'm sorry, honestly I am. My inbox was just full of unopened messages and it wasn't until now that I started clearing them out. Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it :) Hedy Lamarr would indeed have been a terrific comedienne! If only they'd given her a chance. She had such potential!

  • Wow! Really? This was my first vide so there were quite a couple of glitches, but I'm very glad you liked it! Thank you so much! Haha, that's great. call and visit as often as you'd please. And, indeed, the old are always the greatest :)

  • Have you seen this video called " Gene Kelly\Cid|Charisse Opening A Colorful show" from Breton2Robert. WOW and the ending is crazy

  • Oh really? This was my first video and I have caught so many flwas! Especially with the repetitive effects, but I have improved greatly! Thank you very much though! I am very glad you enjoyed it :) I'd love it if you would visit my channel, don't be shy!

  • I think Hedy Lamarr may have looked even better if she'd had her eyebrows shaped a little less round. Vivien Leigh and Hedy look so much alike. Vivien had a little bigger lower lip than upper...and for Hedy the opposite...otherwise they looked very similar. My personal choice in this video might be Hedy Lamarr.

There are all kinds of other beautiful actresses. Liz Taylor, Jane Greer, Rita Hayworth, Bergman, Goddard, Jean Craine...ahh...Grace Kelly...and on and on.

  • Really? I always thought her eyebrows were nice. Yes, a lot of people get them confused! But telling them apart is simple if you know what details to look for. I never noticed the lip thing, but you have a point! Their noses are completely different so that's one way to tell. Hedy's is longer and perfectly straight when seen in profile (2:03). Vivien's is smaller and curves slightly upwards at the tip (3:25). Another thing is the hair.

  • Hedy got a very petite nose, much more petite than Vivien's. Vivien's nose was bigger, so for me she looked better in profile. But Hedy's perfect from every angle. The shape of their faces are completely different too.

  • Actually, both of them have small noses but Hedy's is longer. Vivien's curves a bit upwards at the end. Hedy does look good in ever angle, Vivien does as And yes, their face shaps are completely different! well.

  • Hedy's was always a bit fuller and curlier. Vivien's was straighter. And once they smile, you can easily tell who's who! My favorite is Vivien Leigh, but Hedy is wonderful as well. Liz is lovely too, Jane Greer I've never heard of, Rita is pretty but I'm not really into her, Bergman is stunning, Goddard has her moments, Jean Craine I've never heard of, Grace Kelly is classy looking but I've never really seen her movies.

  • Of course, I didn't base this video on beauty, I just made it of actresses I liked. However since I made it a while ago there are many actresses that I have changed my opinions about. For example: Bette Davis and Joan Crawford were marvelous but at the time I made this video I hardly knew who they were.

  • Elizabeth Taylor??

    Where is that gorgeous woman?

  • I didn't include her because she isn't one of my top favorites. I haven't seen many of her films and I said it was a tribute to SOME classic actresses not all. I can''t include everyone.

  • u forgot lana turner

  • No, I didn't forget Lana Turner. She's just not on my list. I've seen several of her performances and they don't amaze me. The only ones I forgot were Joan Crawford and Bette Davis.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed your compilation of classical beauties of the golden era of hollywood, i am even more delighted to see gene tierney at last included right where she belongs as one of the most beautiful faces that ever graced the silver screen!

    Petezam

  • Thank you very much! Of course, it was my first video and there were some effect malfunctions and sound glitches. But it still pleases me for a first try. I think the music fit very nicely. Especially the second song. Is it not common to find Gene Tierney included in videos?I find her both beautiful and talented.

  • And when she's in color- oh those beautiful blue eyes! It surprises me how easily they overlook her when they make lists and videos of "The Most Beautiful Actresses". It usually the same people: Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Vivien Leigh, Hedy Lamarr, Marilyn Monroe- but never Genen Tierney! And she really does have some very distinct features.

  • When I introduced her picture to my mom, she said that she had never heard of her or seen her in a movie, but that she was the prettiest actress she'd seen. A very delicate beauty. Thank you for commenting!

  • Beautiful! Thank You for including Hedy Lamarr!

  • Thank you! It was my first video, so there are many flaws but I'm overall pleased with how most of it turned out. You're very welcome! Hedy Lamarr is definitely in my my top five. Most people couldn't get past her breathtaking beauty, but there is much more to Hedy that meets the eye. She could have been so much bigger, had they given her better roles. All Hollywood saw her as was a pretty little decoration.

  • So whenever they needed glamour they got Hedy. If those big Hollywood producers realized how much potential she had, they could've gone so far with her. But there is no doubt that with the roles she did get, she completely shined with grace and talent. A very refined actress who deserved better treatment than she got. Since you thanked me for including her, I'm guessing that most people don't put her in their tributes. I'll be sure to include her the next time I make a tribute :)

  • Vivien at 4:04 is beauty beyond words...

  • The picture was actually in color, but since most of the others were in black and white, I decided it would look better if they were all in BW. I think it's better to stay consistent. You should watch the video I made for her 96th birthday. It's on my page :)

  • I think u did a great job sticking with b & w since they all look incredible either way. Maybe your next page will be all color.... I love them all but Vivien Leigh is my favorite!!!!!

  • I'd love to make an all-color video, unfortunately it's much more difficult to find pictures of them in color. Vivien Leigh is my favorite as well! She's unlike any of the others. There was always this light in her eyes and she was always so full of life. Her and Bette Davis. Which is weird because their acting styles couldn't be anymore different! However, when I made the video I wasn't really a Bette Davis fan so I only included very few actresses.

  • Not only did Vivien have eyes like a cat , but she moved like a cat as well. She had this finese and lightness in her feet and her movement... she said her and Larry were physically and mentally connected but not spiritualy because of the guilt that carried over from hurting others to be with each other, and maybe there was a price to pay later because of it. Im not sure but I wonder !!!!

  • And it's so perfect because in the novel "Gone With the Wind" Scarlett has cat-like eyes. Vivien was meant for that part! I think they were connected spiritually, or else they wouldn't have lasted so long. Think about it, 20 years together? Most Hollywood marriages barely lasted two years! They had something special. No other Hollywood couples were as meant for one another as Vivien and Larry.

  • Maybe so , its just a quote from vivien leigh... 20 years is a long time in a sense but not really when you think how quick it can go by, but don't get me wrong i adore Vivien's beauty and the passion she portrayed in all the roles she took on even when she was sick.

  • I understand. What I meant was that compared to the amount of years that the other Hollywood marriages lasted (usually two years until they got divorced and remarried again), 20 years is amazing. They had something that the others didn't, and they never stopped caring for one another.

  • Yes, your right . she loved him to the end.

  • And he loved her to the end as well.

  • :} your too cute lexi... but from what I understand that is true as well. "this was real love" before he died while watching one of her films. good stuff!!!

  • Why thank you ever so much :) Did e really say that? How sweet! He and his friend were passing time by writing poems during the war one day and he said, "If I should die, think only this of me...I could not live without my Vivien Leigh,". I almost cried!

  • He said it , while watching i think "fire over england" and he turned to a friend and said that... couple days before he passed!!

  • I'll be making another video soon which will include Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Audrey Hepburn, and Elizabeth Taylor.

  • what a great video my friend!! i love it!! :D

  • Thanks! Make sure you watch the one about Vivien Leigh's birthday :) I know I posted it early, but I just couldn't resist!

  • Good group! Hedy Lamarr is the most beautiful of them all.

  • Thanks! But I should have included Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Hedy was certainley beautiful. But there's someting about Vivien Leigh that makes me think she's the most gorgeous one. She always looks so vibrant and full of life. And those eyes! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • yes to each his own. I'll go with Lamarr as the most flawless face any day, though the others' are not bad.

  • I believe Vivien Leigh and Hedy Lamarr were the most beautiful. In fact, don't you think that these old Hollywood stars were much prettier and much better actresses than our celebrities today?

  • @LexiixoxRoxx i really think so to people view beauty and talent a different way back then, than they do now,old hollywood stars black and white women look better than the majority of hollywood stars today, there are beautiful ones today but not many

  • @beautifults1 Yep.

  • Very nicely done, you've included some great ladies of the silver screen :D Making these video's is one good way to make people remember their brilliance (:

  • Thanks! My next video will include some other actresses too, and I'll probably keep adding more and more as I go. I agree, they should never be forgotten! :)

  • great job:)

    Wonderful Wonderful actresses!!

I use One True Media as well and I love it!

  • Thanks! It's just recently that I've gotten into these Classic Actresses so I didn't include as many as some other videos do, but I tried my best! I should've also put in Joan Crawford, but soon enough I'll keep adding more and more :) Thanks for watching!
