I’m saying this to the people who saw my video. I made the video as I’m interested in truth and Judo. I would‘ve done the same thing if I see things other people don’t see. Doesn’t matter if the match was a hundred years ago or if the false winner was Shinohara instead of Douillet. Also I respect the way other people look at this through a different viewpoint, but I would also appreciate some respect from people doing other sports even though they may have no understanding, nor interest in Judo.

This is a most absurd comment.

I live in Japan but I've never seen any Japanese who dislike French cultures, arts, fashion, foods, and of course the people. Just about all Japanese usually admire them. I tell you what, the Japanese respect French people more than Americans usually respect them.

What the Japanese cannot forgive is Douillet's dishonest and dishonorable attitude. It has nothing to do with French people.

I don't know how long and how seriously you leant Judo, but Judo is not a sport. You need three things, mind, techniques and body, and the mind is the hardest to come by. Douillet's comments on the match and Renir proved that to the whole world.

@tmme1234 Yeah sure I don't know much about judo and I don't really care. The only thing I know is that you take it way too seriously. I'm a fencer, a sport that frenchmen created and ruled from the very beginning and I'm not taking it as a way of life yet. That typically-japanese romantic mush about spirituality and stuff is quite boring. You'd say none of that if Shinohara had won the same way.

Douillet IS a great guy, one of the most beloved amongst all frenchmen.

And I doubt it quotes what Shinohara actually said after losing. He said he was weak and that was the main explanation to his defeat. What a classy way to start a new chapter, exactly what one expects from a japanese sportsman. Why don't you follow his lead? You're covering yourself with shame, desperatly hoping for 11-years-old things to change. What a pity.

What happened with the other two referees? did they vote against Sinohara as well? That's a shame because it was clearly a counter attack what he did ending in Ippon but shame he didn't get to keep the gold. Unfortunately even if Douillet would've given the gold medal to the japanese, that wouldn't change anything in the books. The mistake was done by the referees. At least the French should've acknowledge that he lost

IPPON à 100%. deja les 2 arbitres ont signalè ippon sauf celui du centre. franchement et avec un exprit tres sportif le gagant c'est pas douillet.

Douillet comment tu peux être content d'une victoire aussi hideuse ? Bon ça fait partie du sport aussi.
