I know this has probably been talked about but in Spider-Man TAS, Felicia (who is Black Cat) is pretty much the sweet & innocent friend of Peter who acts as a "sort of" love for Peter/Spider-Man for a while until Peter ends up with Mary-Jane for the rest of the series (until she was lost in a portal & is cloned) & also when she (Black Cat) becomes the anti-hero that we all know.

Side note: as far as I know in the cartoon (might be wrong) Spider-Man NEVER revealed his identity to Black Cat.
