  • This is fantastic. I wish I heard of these guys so much sooner.

  • Could real rock n roll be making a comeback?

  • Why does my friend send me these things? They end up getting stuck in my head! Now it's gotta be favourited! *sigh* Man, Olivia!

  • I was listening to turisas pandora and found them so random.

  • Catchy and awesome:) Im irish and scottish mainly and this type of music is always a favourite in my playlist:)

  • Haggis Horns has a song named "Enter the Haggis", so I'm here accidentally :p

  • There are some bands that I know I'm going to be hooked on just by listening to one song.

    This band is pure gold.

  • Sorry, but you're confusing bandmembers there. The lead singer of this song (and most of ETH's songs) is Brian Buchanan, who was born in Ottawa, Ontario.

You're thinking of Craig Downie. While I don't know how long he lived there, he didn't have a Scottish accent when I met him (roughly 6 years ago).

  • Met them at Summerfolk 5 years ago.

    Hooked.

And the fact they're Canadian makes it so much cooler.

  • @YogurtArchangel touche, I agree, personally I am offended by people calling the US "America" because Canada, Mexico, and Greenland are all techniccly part of the North American continent.

  • My favorite song of yours. Can't wait till you come to Orlando next month.

  • Why do we care about where they're from?

  • @p4uld3nn3y

    thanks...

allright people, i hope this settles the debate and that we can all agree this song is great, awesome, awesome, and great regardless of nationality issues XD

  • it is amazing

  • @Vampirehunterwarrior They're Canadian. >_>

  • thanks to everyone who corrected me and said they're Canadian, not american, good job people!

  • @Vampirehunterwarrior Aww, you were still right. To all of us Irish, Canada is part of America anyhow. After all, it's clearly not Africa, Europe, Asia or Australia and all that leaves is Antarctica and America.

  • @Vampirehunterwarrior Canadian is American. ;)

  • @Vampirehunterwarrior Yes, Canadian, not American nor Scots- Irish either. But Damn good!

  • @Vampirehunterwarrior I don´t know where they are from, but I love their music!

  • Dude...they're Canadian.

  • @Vampirehunterwarrior Well yeah, but they're not American. They're Canadian

  • arent they scottish ?

  • @gunningaces there from Canada

  • They are actualy Canadian @gunningaces

  • @gunningaces They be Canadian trust this Scotsman. :)

  • This is my FAVORITE song

  • is it even possible to be in a bad mood when this song comes on? lol

  • what... the fuck.... was that...?

  • He doesn't sound all that Irish, but the music does have an Irish twang.

  • @starlimitz2 More Scottish than Irish, in my opinion although both types are pretty similar as the belong to the Celtic genre.

  • Absolutely Wonderful. This song makes me want to sing along! If they still had the star rating feature this would be a 500/5. xD

  • Sad as this song is, it's beautiful how he lasted through the night just have that "one last drink" and go out with a bang, and lived a full life. Like the song says, he "never had a tear in his eye". Was this based off a true story?

  • i love this song

  • bad day ? listen to this song

  • @gunningaces yeah, but when you read the lyrics, it's actually really sad...

  • @Jmuffinx3 Well sure John's dying but he's okay with it! As the song says he's "Had a life that's full" and "everyone's been good to [him]" so it's not sad for him! As for his friends, maybe it'd be sad but I think it would be less so because John didn't waste away or anything - he went out partying with everyone who loved him. It's touching and if I got the choice, I'd like to die like that.

  • @ViewtoForever

amen to that, and i completely agree with you

  • @ViewtoForever

Y, thats just what i think!!!

  • @ViewtoForever wait, whos dying???? the singer???

  • @ghostdrummer16 Uhh...sort of yeah. The chorus is sung from the perspective of Old John who is dying. The verses are a kind of third person story of his last day. :)

  • @ghostdrummer16 No no, ahaha. The character in the song, who's named John, is dying. This song is about his last day. :)

  • Thanks a lot for putting this one up! Together with "Minstrel Boy", this one's my favourite song by Enter the Haggis. :)

  • Best song about dying...probably ever? Hehe.

  • This song always makes me happy and full of energy

  • @OmegaMaxter I know sometimes i getup and start tap danceing

  • @gunningaces Such a good song.

  • Thanks for posting!

  • you're welcome!

  • Awesome.

  • thank you
