As much as I like the band that accompanied Play!, I feel like the singing was overshadowed heavily by them. It's probably because i'm more interested in the symphonic parts though. Some of the musical aspects that still send shivers down my spine listening to the game version either went completely unheard or you could JUST make it out over the drums and guitar. Moar orchestra, less electric guitar plz--even though it was epic in it's own way.

this song is called "One Winged Angel" and is Sephiroths theme, i love it, and it actually has a few different versions (i love the choir)

The music from FFVII has more expression than any other video game i've ever played. One winged angel sounds so turbulent, insane. really expresses that feeling nicely.

The Turks theme, with the snapping fingers is also really subtle and you really have to tip your hat to that kind of composing.

The band didn't do what I would have expected with One Winged Angel. The Choir was way to quite, and the drumset was really forced, and stupid.

As much as I like this song, and as much as I like The Black Mages (assuming that's them playing the song on drums/guitar/etc), I felt that the guitar drowned out certain parts of the orchestra that really make the piece and helped me remember it forever, haha.

Ah well, great performance nonetheless.

I went to the oone here in Philly and when they played this it was beyond epic. First our concert hall was an outdoor one, There was a thunderstorm going on, I mean wind, rain, and everyone was just cheering when They played this song last!

Nah. I have to disagree. Ask anyone if they've ever heard One Winged Angel, and the odds you'll get a no are asoundingly low. I DO however know people who have never played any of the Zelda games, and don't know the music.
