dude!! chip and ryan!? they seemed to have gotten bolder in the US version! lmao i cant believe that was chip, though. i mena, on some level it makes sense that ryan could have been on the original, but chip!?!
Greg and Colin were in the origional, too. I expected Colin to be in the origional, but not Greg or chip. I think Patrick was in the origional, as well
By definition, it was first, so therfore it is before, yes, but with that idea, they improved it to the US version and that's what I am saying, first doesn't always mean better.
i still is pretty funny some of the suggestions. They seem to have so much more fun on the american though, and more up for it if you know what i mean? They seem more playful, if thats possible coz theyve all gotten older

I was gonna stop watching but then I saw how vute Ryan was so I couldn't pull away.. But oh lord that was a terrible game I think the suggestions just give away the scene and they just do it and compete for points. I'm glad the points don't matter in the US version so they can think more about being funny.. But they always are ;D
The points don't matter in the UK version, either. Clive is just as ridiculous with the points as Drew is - but the UK version doesn't drill "the points don't matter" into your head. It's just something that's supposed to be understood.
The points actually DID matter during the radio version, though. One of the producers sat next to Clive, writing the scores down and adding them up at the end of the show.

Yea but he sometimes after the games says "I'll just give you some points here.." and in the end he says that someone has won when he has calculated them.. Yes, maybe they don't REALLY matter but it looks like he chooses the winner because of the points.
To be fair mate, that's the English sense of humour. It's more subtle than American humour and if you watch any British game show like Have I Got News For You, Buzzcocks, 8 out of 10 Cats and so on, the points are NEVER important. It's just seems to be our tradition
I find the US Whose Line funnier though, I think the performers have just gotten better by then. The UK Scenes From a Hat are often too obscure to derive much of a laugh from them.
Actually the points do matter on Buzzcocks, Got News, Would I Lie To You, and Mock the Week probably others too because they decide winners for the rounds, awarding the points in rounds.
He awards points round by round on this show as well, doesn't mean to say that they matter. Buzzcocks points are clearly made up, as are WILTY. I'm not sure about Mock the Week (I think Dara just says the team he thought was funniest) and they might be correct scores on Have I Got News. As for Shooting Stars... Look at the points scoring on that show and you'll realise that British quiz shows are rarely scored accurately.
I'm not making a big deal out of this but they definately do score on Buzzcocks and WILTY, that can be seen by probably anyone in the way they score points in the rounds.
yessss that was young chip ! he looked so different! gosh!

no he doesn't. if you pay attention to what he says about the points during the show, you'll see he just picks a winner at random.
And the US version isn't nescessarily funnier, it's more obvious.
