I use to looooove PVP, but now (TBC) Alliance are ditching AV, and every though they say Horde are 'winning' we still lose..I still do love PVP, and watching other PVP, and you by far own.
Funnily enough that was an accidental timing issue with the music - When I made this movie, which took about 10mins at the time, when I compressed it all it landed perfectly in tune with the druid kill.
Mods can be gotten that do this and yes, on my warrior, with Scrolling Combat Text a message with "FINISH IT" / "EXECUTE" comes up, can be made to go with the Mortal Kombat sound patches for it.
Ropedrink is one of the most skilled rogues (and priest) khadgar has even seen. and he's not pretending like all the other poser who make their "im so much better then you" pvp vids. this is straigth honest slacky pvp like everyone does on a late tuesday evening.

I bother because it's plain fun. As you said, this isn't anything above or beyond your regular everyday lazy dive into BG's for some games, I just wanted to get a recording going for the release of X-Realm at 60 as it would be the last time I'd ever play in the "60" bracket on my rogue, so decided to make a simple fun flick ^^
It just parodies all the other rogue PvP vids out there, you know the type, untouchable player, only showing fights where they win hands down, thrown in with tonnes of editing effects, hollywoodized... ie. boring. This movie I've made may not be rivetting but at least it was a little different ^^ It's also over a year old and just happy people still watch it ^^ So thanks to everyone who does.

Depends, really, if you're considering PvE or PvP. A mace spec for PvE, for example, is fun but not totally viable whereas daggers can suit both with burst and the combat tree if used right has consistent enough DPS for PvE but in some cases depending on it's use isn't too great for PvP. Just simplify it and think if you want crit (Daggers, Fist), stuns (Mace) or all-round (Swords).

Like I said, I play this for fun and the movie is a pisstake of rogue PvP movies - A lot of people forget that and assume this is meant as some 'serious' "WTFIBBQU" movie, which isn't the case. Go comment on peoples 'skill' in said serious movies, this isn't one of them.
You're looking at a video from a Rogue (Not exactly taxing when it comes to fighting) in battlegrounds (Which make up a TINY portion of what you can do in the game). While I admit WoW isn't the pinnacle of interesting things to play, or always overly exciting, it does have it's great moments and there's a lot you can do. I wouldn't call it boring - Just repeatative depending on what you do.
I've only bothered uploading one Castlevania movie, sadly. Many people already have uploaded the type of CV movies I'd have done, so I didn't bother ^^ You may like some of the Commodore64 movies or Resident Evil 4 movies of mine, though.

Don't knock it until you try it - See if any of your friends who play WoW have their Trial Card - That way you can download an online demo that lasts about 2-3 weeks or something.
What HUD is that in the center of the screen? It looks like arcHUD, but in your previous posts you state you only use X-perl and Bongos. I use both of those and don't see those or any option to enable them. I use some other UI modifiers aswell, but I've never seen any like that.
If you mean the animated bars surrounding my character, I don't honestly remember. It was "Something"UI but the mod was discontinued shortly after this movie was made and never worked since. Sadly this clip is so old I can't even remember much about it. There are tonnes of similar mods, however, so don't fret :)

No, I don't see it as a great movie - It's short, some people won't get the humour and going by most comments people rate it low purely because they saw a 4CP lev 60 Evis crit and deem it as zomg low damage - I most likely didn't even have imp eviscerate. I specced to suit myself, and it worked fine.

You can open the zip file and UNZIP it into your WoW/Interface/Addons folder. Or, you can save the zip file onto your PC and manually UNZIP it. Either way, you need to open it and unzip to the addons folder ^^

hey what hud do you use? i used to use one (name has slipped my mind >.<) but it was really bad took up too much addon memory and it had this really annoying target of target healthbar thing that i couldnt get rid of... any way whats your 1 called?
Well the BBPaw is about 2.50 speed, which is a little fast - HW Weps at level 60 were 2.90 speed (ie. super slow) which is what you want with hemo spec - Sadly the slowest possible rogue mainhand is blacksmith crafted mace of 2.70 speed, I think, with all 1hand wep speeds are 2.60 from instances etc It was intended to keep hemo at lower damage than it was pre-TBC (A nerf).
Yes, as Hemohhrage - It doesn't matter if it's a sword, fist or mace, so long as it was slow and had high end damage. If I wanted to spec for fists weapons (Which was crap back then pre-TBC as there were very very few nice fist weps, especially off-hands) then I'd have been using two fists.
Berserking for +30% attack speed whilst damage ontop of stealthed HP regeneration is very handy, for PvP mostly but the added berserking buff ontop of your usual PvE buffs and talents can make for some sick DPS.
From 1-60 I was full subtlety. It's only when I joined a raid guild that I tweaked it to include a little combat. But I was always 80% sub. Even now it's my preferred spec at 70.
You mean when it lights up and blurs after a crit? Thats just my mediocre editing, although you can get combat flashing effects from X-Perl that light up the sides of the screen to indicate you're entering combat by being attacked (As opposed to you actually attacking). I wasn't too keen on it, though.
Aye, back when Noggenfogger Slowfall effect lasted about 5min, those were the days. I enjoy it with Levitation on my Priest, and I'm sure mages love it too - Can't beat flying :)

I tend to watch most of it per comment, it reminds me of how it all used to be vs how it is now - It was all very different back then, some love the new PvP, some want the old back. Me, I just try to enjoy whatever comes along but movies like this always make me smile either way ^^
Totally agree - That game burned a year or two of my life, good ole PSX - Even have it on Emulator when my PSX broke. Adore the game to bits, and it's amazing soundtrack <3

Emulators are programs that 'emulate' other systems ie. programs that can act like, say, NES, C64, Spectrum, Amiga and, of course, one for PSX. Search for 'ePSXe' (Thats the emulator) however the games come in ROM format, how you find them is up to you - Illegal to have unless you own the actual game yourself.
Well this was months before TBC, so hard to tell precisely the spec as I was veru heavy subtlety and that tree has been edited a lot since - Pretty sure I had every point in it with the exception of Lightning Reflexes and Malice in Combat/Assasi, I really can't remember.
Actually, correction, this was when X-Realms was first introduced into WoW as a test, pre TBC. Feels like ages ago and the rogues talents are much different now but I'm a Subtlety rogue since day 1.

And regarding your Female Troll rogue, I hope you have fun - They're animations are fab, they sound great and, well, they're hawt >_> except me, my character is pretty ugly!
All I can tell you is that (being 60) you'd have 10 less points than you have now (assuming you're 70) and had the large majority of them in Subtlety (up to preperation) along with dodge heavy talents (I was an agi freak) such as setup, as well as hemo, with the remaining 15 or so points scattered about in the combat tree (Lightning reflexes, endurance, elusiveness etc).
The reason you don't see me throwing out big eviscerates back then is pure spec - Eviscerate back then never scaled with AP thus no matter what weapon you used, it'd do damage based on how many combo points were used - Half the time the people in question were practically dead after the first cheapshot so I didn't have to build up 5CP's for bigger eviscerates to kill them.
I was subtlety hemo fist spec, without a single talent point in assasination to upgrade Eviscerate / special move damage outside of 5 points in Malice for +5% crit, so naturally my eviscerates weren't as big as they could be. So grats to you on having the assasination talents to up your eviscerate damage! But don't be an asshat to people who don't spec for it.
Chill out and try to see the humour in the movie - Thats all it is, a pisstake, not some attempt at being some imba PvP movie, which it certainly isn't.
Not that damage or skill is even the point in this movie - This was made out of shreds of clips gathered in an hour of BG'ing months and months ago - If you don't like it, don't watch it or be an insulting idiot against the person trying to have some fun.
Well there Mr. Leet Video game ninja, I'm glad you hit for 2.5k at 70. Maybe you didn't realize this , but this is an old video. Now sure we can all hit for 2.5k Evi, and I'm sure you do it on every hit dont you? Sometimes Mr. Blood Elf rogue, and I'm taking a stab there but you seem like the kind of tard that would roll one, we don't crit for max potention. Now go get a new dagger for your hemo spec, and SS inbetween those massive hemo dagger crits Mr. Blood Elf.
As for Muggebabz, X-Perl unitframes is the overall addon people ask about - Gives the party / player / target'of'target windows (3d optional) and a tonne of other features, can individually place everything where you want, also.
The position of the my portrait, party portraits, my targets portraits and target of target portraits are designed by myself - You can change the position and size of each one which allows you to sort them out whatever way you like - Handy when you use a lot of other mods, like I do ^^
The large majority of it is made up using X-Perl unitframes, which you can find & download from curse gaming. Hope that helps and thanks to everyone for the continued positive comments :)

Works for leaping down into GM unexpectadly, also. Priests and Mages can use spells to do this, also.

No, I don't see it as a great movie - It's short, some people won't get the humour and going by most comments people rate it low purely because they saw a 4CP lev 60 Evis crit and deem it as zomg low damage - I most likely didn't even have imp eviscerate. I specced to suit myself, and it worked fine.

Thats Noggenfogger Elixir. You need to complete a series of three or so quests for two goblins in Gadgetzan, starting with Noggenfogger himself.

ropedrink i am a lvl 38 and i'm having trouble working the download from curse gaming i went into the website and then clicked unit frames like u said earlier in the comments and then i downloaded the most popular one called x-perl unit frames and then it said open, save and cancel and then i got confused on that part could u tell my what to do next, thanks

You can open the zip file and UNZIP it into your WoW/Interface/Addons folder. Or, you can save the zip file onto your PC and manually UNZIP it. Either way, you need to open it and unzip to the addons folder ^^

Well the BBPaw is about 2.50 speed, which is a little fast - HW Weps at level 60 were 2.90 speed (ie. super slow) which is what you want with hemo spec - Sadly the slowest possible rogue mainhand is blacksmith crafted mace of 2.70 speed, I think, with all 1hand wep speeds are 2.60 from instances etc It was intended to keep hemo at lower damage than it was pre-TBC (A nerf).

Yes, as Hemohhrage - It doesn't matter if it's a sword, fist or mace, so long as it was slow and had high end damage. If I wanted to spec for fists weapons (Which was crap back then pre-TBC as there were very very few nice fist weps, especially off-hands) then I'd have been using two fists.

They make very good rogues.
Berserking for +30% attack speed whilst damage ontop of stealthed HP regeneration is very handy, for PvP mostly but the added berserking buff ontop of your usual PvE buffs and talents can make for some sick DPS.

From 1-60 I was full subtlety. It's only when I joined a raid guild that I tweaked it to include a little combat. But I was always 80% sub. Even now it's my preferred spec at 70.

You mean when it lights up and blurs after a crit? Thats just my mediocre editing, although you can get combat flashing effects from X-Perl that light up the sides of the screen to indicate you're entering combat by being attacked (As opposed to you actually attacking). I wasn't too keen on it, though.

Aye, back when Noggenfogger Slowfall effect lasted about 5min, those were the days. I enjoy it with Levitation on my Priest, and I'm sure mages love it too - Can't beat flying :)

I tend to watch most of it per comment, it reminds me of how it all used to be vs how it is now - It was all very different back then, some love the new PvP, some want the old back. Me, I just try to enjoy whatever comes along but movies like this always make me smile either way ^^

Emulators are programs that 'emulate' other systems ie. programs that can act like, say, NES, C64, Spectrum, Amiga and, of course, one for PSX. Search for 'ePSXe' (Thats the emulator) however the games come in ROM format, how you find them is up to you - Illegal to have unless you own the actual game yourself.

Well this was months before TBC, so hard to tell precisely the spec as I was veru heavy subtlety and that tree has been edited a lot since - Pretty sure I had every point in it with the exception of Lightning Reflexes and Malice in Combat/Assasi, I really can't remember.

Actually, correction, this was when X-Realms was first introduced into WoW as a test, pre TBC. Feels like ages ago and the rogues talents are much different now but I'm a Subtlety rogue since day 1.

All I can tell you is that (being 60) you'd have 10 less points than you have now (assuming you're 70) and had the large majority of them in Subtlety (up to preperation) along with dodge heavy talents (I was an agi freak) such as setup, as well as hemo, with the remaining 15 or so points scattered about in the combat tree (Lightning reflexes, endurance, elusiveness etc).

The reason you don't see me throwing out big eviscerates back then is pure spec - Eviscerate back then never scaled with AP thus no matter what weapon you used, it'd do damage based on how many combo points were used - Half the time the people in question were practically dead after the first cheapshot so I didn't have to build up 5CP's for bigger eviscerates to kill them.

I was subtlety hemo fist spec, without a single talent point in assasination to upgrade Eviscerate / special move damage outside of 5 points in Malice for +5% crit, so naturally my eviscerates weren't as big as they could be. So grats to you on having the assasination talents to up your eviscerate damage! But don't be an asshat to people who don't spec for it.

As for Muggebabz, X-Perl unitframes is the overall addon people ask about - Gives the party / player / target'of'target windows (3d optional) and a tonne of other features, can individually place everything where you want, also.

The position of the my portrait, party portraits, my targets portraits and target of target portraits are designed by myself - You can change the position and size of each one which allows you to sort them out whatever way you like - Handy when you use a lot of other mods, like I do ^^
