i was fishing for roach here in england an on a small size 18 hook. I was reeling in to re-bait and cast an in a little mishap the hook caught my rod rest pinged off and went into my nostril. luckily it was a barbless hook and i could pop it straight out. wouldn't of fancied getting a lure stuck in there!

I've been fishing for like 18 years too and only ever had the occasional point of a hook in a finger end.
