  • This reminds me of the time I saw the doctor about my emotional problems and he said it was just hormones.

when there is a lot of evidence against this

  • this is brilliant too

    i meant to comment yesterday

this is the one that i want to feature now

a lot of people will relate to this one no matter what condition they have

i love the line of"but you are normal" from the("expert"...lol) doctor

  • heh... that's why I never got diagnosed as a child... in Russia it was the exact same thing. I don't know about now, though.

  • i think this happens globally

    great last line wasnt it?

  • That sort of attitude is not uncommon in the United States either. It's quite irritating.

  • i think many people will relate to this

  • yeah, then that doc is confused between RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder) and autism. And one can have both, and one can have RAD simply from being face blind, meaning deaf, meaning blind and having body agnosias... essentially one experiences oneself as cut off due to severe sensory perceptual disorders, or due to significant health disorders disrupting bonding process. its an archaic world.

  • what she means when she says 'autistics can't speak', is the presumption that "all autistics" have severe aphasia, oral dyspraxia, selective mutism. Clearly this is not the case.

  • Yes, I agress. But a lot of people -even doctors- think that. Very often they are not right informent or there "knowlage about autism is far behind. I once met a Doctor, not so long ago, who still believed in the refridgerator mother theory.

  • Great job, I like it! This is frequent in the everyday life. I was the first, who gave you 5 stars for this video! :)

  • Thanks for the five stars. :)

I posted it this video this morning and now I allready have 3 ratings. The people seem to like it. :)

  • Yes, that's right. ;)

  • this is excellent

    wow

    this deserves an award

  • Thanks peaceandparty. I tried to make it realistic. high functioning autistic people have a lot of treouble finding a doctor who understands whats going on. I'm used to it that my pediatritions I had over all those years know nothing about it.

  • Yes, this is so realistic! Just too often it happens just this way...

    Christian

  • Thanks. Did something like this also happened to you?

  • this type of scenario was normal for me
