@TheThrashZone I'm curious about why you had to turn it off once you heard the singer. Unless you just don't like death metal in general, I don't see why Kalmah's vocalist would be a "turn off". I'll agree that he's no Mikael Stanne but he's still one of the best growlers out there IMO.

No, this album is my least favorite of theirs. For the Revolution was much better, not the best but better. They need to go back to the style in Swamplord and They Will Return. Still one of my top bands, though. \m/

Can anyone tell me of a band that might be a mix of Yngwie Malmsteen and Children of Bodom? I want a song to learn that has a lot of alternate picking and sweeps, but is melodic death metal? Are there any Kalmah songs like that? Kalmah seems to have a lot of 'jumpy' melodies, rather than scales.
