ive only seen eva out of the 3 but the other 2 r certainly on my to watch list. Eva certainly had a wierd ending which would of been 10 times better if they hadnt drawn it out for so long, infact all i did was fast forward and skip most of it cos i was that bored. btw isnt there 1 or 2 remakes or different versions of eva?

Never have watched Neon, But ive watched DN, and it ranks at like number 2 on my fav. anime ever list. The plot, characters, and spectacular showing of wit and smarts intirgued me so much, i was literally lookng forward to watching this show every Friday night on YTV. Seriously, it was so well made and directed, i wondered how Obata and the original writer thought of it. Along with excellent art and animation, its easily one of the best animes ever, at least IMO.

Evangelion is the best anime ever and one of the best series ever too. The film is one of the best ever.

Have you seen any of Anno's live action films? Find "Shiki-jitsu" ("Ritual"). Amazing, amazing, amazing film. Love and pop is good too, Cutie-honey is different, but fun and still good.

Anno is a God.

Also, if you love Evangelion, you definitely need to check out Space runaway Ideon if you haven't. Definitely a forerunner to Evangelion, it has a lot of the same elements and it's an amazing series, especially for one of its age.

I completely agree about EVA. If you watch when you're around the age of the kids, you'll relate to SOMEONE and just get hooked. The battles were awesome, yes, but the depth of the characters and the way they interact with each other are really the meat of the series. Everyone should see this series.

Question, though. What's with that first picture you show in the EVA section? I've seen basically everything from the series and I honestly don't remember that angel. It's been a while, though.

I agree with you completely on Death Note, its definitely one of the best animes going.

Neon Genesis Evangelion was pretty good. However, then came the ending.

And then it became really, really popular.

And then just about almost all super-ish mecha shows tried to be like it, and we now all we have is stuff like Bokurano and RahXephon(both are OK shows in my opinion, but...).

DAMN IT.

Luckily, with GaoGaiGar and Gurren Lagann and such, true super robots are coming back.

Never saw Death Note, actually.

Samurai Champloo had loads of style. I mean, look at it! It's got samurai.

Evangelion, Death Note, Samurai Champloo are pretty main stream as far as I am concerned. I really like Evangelion and Death Note is ok. But I haven't seen enough Samurai Champloo to really make a firm opinion on it.

I really enjoyed Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad and Clannad ED to name 2.

Death note is perfect for 13 episodes after that goes down hill after the 25 episode i was bored to death with the apearances of the boring new characters.

I was not too sure about anime in general until my friend recommended Death Note to me. After the first episode I was hooked, it was unlike anything I've ever seen.

I watched the live action movie though, I don't recommend that at all though.

I'm a huge fan of evangelion (as my name may show) and I agree with you 100%. I was at that age when i first watch it and that probably what most made the whole series click in my mind. I can see where most people hate it but most of the complaints they give are the very reasons why i enjoyed it so much.

I like Neon Genesis Evangelion to the ending.

Hated deathnote. While you didn't I did find light to be pretentious and didn't like him. Odd enough I liked most of the other main characters. It just might be I like mysteries add might have had more fun with it if it was told from L perspective never knowing Light was Kira.

Not that I'm hating on anyone for either of them. There just not my style

watch end of evangelion. it will make you love the entire series, as long as you take EOE as the true ending, which it is.
