OK. I decided to do a little research. Stupid down there has blahhhed and blahhed about the "68000" wounded and unrecovered deer from wisconsin. She trys to say it is, and I quote, a 50% recovery rate. There were 453000 deer killed that year. Which = an 85% recovery rate. They based this number on less than 700 hunters survey from one area of the state. Boy, real good numbers to go on there huh?? The d.e.c. for there even said that it was a bad idea to post unrealistic numbers.

In Wisconsin 68,000 wounded deer were not recovered by hunters I wonder why? How about the other states? OK, I will rephrase to you, FROM MY STUDIES. A deer gets "velvet" on its tissue mass that it grows on its head, called ANTLERS. This tissue mass is calcium that turns into bone. It has millions of tiny blood vessels and a main artery that supply it. When this tissue grows to its maximum potential it becomes very irratating and ITCHY to the deer. Thus making the deer rub the SKIN (velvet) off of this tissue and exposing the very tender insides and vessels to the air (which is why they are red)..
Continuation.... Which is why they are ALWAYS red colored after "velvet" is shed. The air dries and solidifies them and they become bone white (ALL of them). You see variations in the color because of the types of trees they rub. Sappy trees will make darker antlers and oaks and birch types will give the bright white appearance. @fishnkid1923 i have heard to hunt the full moon but i have also heard not to because it stays lighter at night so the deer can still move very easily in the middle of the night and be aware because of the moonlight , this is supposed to cause them to not move till later... I have had them move early with a full moon, but i think over all less during daylight when there is a full moon, i guess its just what they decide to do that day...

Head shots don't work that way, stop watching so much TV. To access the brain you must strike within the lethal triangle and you have far greater chance of missing and leaving an animal badly wounded but never killing them. This is why that shot is not recommended even for gun hunters.

The know about CRE and actually they know how to breed more bucks
By keeping the deer population below the carrying capacity of the available habitat, more forage (nutrition) is available per deer. Thus, does are healthier, reproductive success is higher and more does are able to carry two fawns. Ironically, this can result in a greater deer harvest each year.

I tried to post a comment on nephsangels new shed hunting video. I tried to call her out on her pressuring the deer during the vital time in the winter when deer are trying to conserve energy. I know we all shed hunt but I was trying to call her out on all her hipocricies. OK. I decided to do a little research. Stupid down there has blahhhed and blahhed about the "68000" wounded and unrecovered deer from wisconsin. She trys to say it is, and I quote, a 50% recovery rate. There were 453000 deer killed that year. Which = an 85% recovery rate. They based this number on less than 700 hunters survey from one area of the state. Boy, real good numbers to go on there huh?? The d.e.c. for there even said that it was a bad idea to post unrealistic numbers.

I have shot not fewer than 22 deer with my bow in my life and have NEVER not recovered one that I hit. I know people who have. In Wisconsin 68,000 wounded deer were not recovered by hunters I wonder why? How about the other states? In NY DEC you are supposed to report killed deer but 250 bowhunted deer were not reported. hmmm, that is a whole lot of pain and suffering. They are not "caged" they are 45 acres of land where the deer roams and many more lands that I walk frequently every morning to watch the deer. The deer that comes to my yard are from the 45 acre land and there is no "cages" these deer goes from across the road to the other side of land, land after land after land. Sorry no cages here I know you like to pretend that because you are jealous that you have no skills to be able to come up to a deer and photograph. Maybe its your stench.

or maybe its the fact that we hunt wild deer and not deer that are used to or comfortable to humans, if you want to i will take you out were i hunt and i garrentee my life on it you would never get anywhere close to a deer unless you sat, there is no way in hell you would walk up on one let alone touch it. IF and i very much stress the IF these deer aren't caged they are VERY, VERY comfortable with humans... wild deer run like hell at the sight sound or scent of any human near them...

OK, I will rephrase to you, FROM MY STUDIES. A deer gets "velvet" on its tissue mass that it grows on its head, called ANTLERS. This tissue mass is calcium that turns into bone. It has millions of tiny blood vessels and a main artery that supply it. When this tissue grows to its maximum potential it becomes very irratating and ITCHY to the deer. Thus making the deer rub the SKIN (velvet) off of this tissue and exposing the very tender insides and vessels to the air (which is why they are red)..

Continuation.... Which is why they are ALWAYS red colored after "velvet" is shed. The air dries and solidifies them and they become bone white (ALL of them). You see variations in the color because of the types of trees they rub. Sappy trees will make darker antlers and oaks and birch types will give the bright white appearance. Anti hunters don't know what the hell they're talking about! How would they know if hunting is easy? They don't know. I've hunted deer for two seasons and haven't killed one yet. I saw deer only twice, once after legal shooting hours and I saw a doe during a bucks only hunt. They have me fooled so far.

i dont think you mentioned moon phases..i always hunt a full moon when i can ...also an old tip i learned from a buddy..is when there are squirrels barkin,usually its a deer or another person...

@fishnkid1923 i have heard to hunt the full moon but i have also heard not to because it stays lighter at night so the deer can still move very easily in the middle of the night and be aware because of the moonlight , this is supposed to cause them to not move till later... I have had them move early with a full moon, but i think over all less during daylight when there is a full moon, i guess its just what they decide to do that day...

really?wow,cuz last year i saw 23 deer while i was huntin...and i usually see less than 4 each day...also if you want to know how overpopulated the deer are...i will tell you that once i counted at least a hundred deer total in several cornfields combined

i can believe that because if i remember right this past year the night i seen 17 does walk by my stand it was a full moon but usually i have no luck on one... idk i havent figured out the moon phases and the effect it has on deer, its all a learning experience... by the way, where you hunting where theres that many deer and when are you taking me lol...

Well I know a head shot will be a immediate death for the animal but once again hunters choose to hit the Deer in the chest cavity were it endures maximum pain and a huge amount of bleeding internally, not like you care as long it hangs on your wall right.
Hell yeah I have never been hunting or even seen wild animals as I am a city kinda guy and I live in a city of 5 million people an most only care about getting out chicks on Saturday nights to fuck.

no we shoot it the chest cavity because how likely is an arrow to go through a thick skull of solid bone??? The chest cavity is wide open with a few thin boned ribs staggered along the side. We aim for the heart and lings to ensure a fast death if we wanted to make it a painful slow death we would aim for the stomach but we dont we attemt to hit the heart and lungs to ensure that they die very quickly with as least sufferage as possible. stick to the city and stay out of the big boys talk...

Head shots don't work that way, stop watching so much TV. To access the brain you must strike within the lethal triangle and you have far greater chance of missing and leaving an animal badly wounded but never killing them. This is why that shot is not recommended even for gun hunters.
If you've never seen wild animals what makes you post as an anti hunter? Because they look cute in books or on TV???
