  • FYI, my KDL-52XBR9 just turned two years old and immediately developed squiggly horizontal lines. Warranty has expired. I called local Sony repairman. He said the ribbon cable and main board are going bad and there isn't anything that can be done to fix it. I contacted sonylistens [sonylistens@am.sony.com] and they were unsympathetic. They did offer to sell me a KDL55BX520 for $790. The BX520 is their bottom of the line TV, so I declined. Good luck with your XBR.

  • how big is 55 inch . I know it is 139 cm but is it measured in the diagonal or horizontal ?

  • @nalihD diagonal

  • i have the same i bought it yesterday

  • $21,999.99 WHAT THE FUCK

  • coolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • I have THE SAME exact MODEL but a 40 Inch Screen this 55 IS more expensive

  • no optical audio ?!?!

  • if i got this tv id be so fly like a g6

  • how do you put a ps3 in this shit because theirs no yellow hole

  • @gab1ify

it uses HDMI cables for high definition.

white red and yellow cables gives you 480p resolution

and HDMI gives you 480p 720p and 1080p

and the difference is very notable believe me ;)

    good luck men

  • white and red is for L&R channel analog sound and the yellow is for for video and i know you will never get 480P resolution with that cable but 480i...you will need a RGB cable to get 480P..480P vs 1080P is a huge different..but 720p vs 1080p is not that big of a deal..unless you watch movies on a 60" screen

  • @gab1ify By HDMI xD lolll

  • @gab1ify *facepalm*

  • Just wondering, can this tv play 3d? or do I need to buy another tv that can play 3d?

  • @bhsdhmu

i don´t think so cuz is 120 hz (only supports 120 fps) and 3D needs like 240 or more and you must buy a HD-3D ready TV. im thinking in buying one LOL

    bye

  • With its Triluminos RGB LED Backlighting, it offers extremely accurate colors, deep blacks, bright whites and even very cool shadow details

Watching a movie with this television is better than watching a film at a movie theater because the picture is just brighter, and better. There is the awesome 3-D processing to interpolate intermediate frames

you can visit our site at ledtvscreens(dot)org

  • Sony only sell 42 inch in that led tv series but I got the 65 inch limited

Edition from japan they only made ten so get hold of one the

    Best tv!!!!!

  • I got that tv Sony is the

Best company and have no trouble with products check new so y camcorder HD in da house ..!

  • can someone please tell me the programming codes for that tv? >,> i can't for the love of god figure it out.

  • woah 4299 $ thats alot

  • It's kinda funny, even though Sony isn't selling this tv anymore, bestbuy is selling the 46". I didn't know that, but while I was looking through the regular LCD section on the website instead of the LED section, the 46" $2,400.99, not even on sale.

  • This TV is incredible, but the Hitachi PictureMaster VI takes a shit all over it.

  • i wonder how this compares to the 40" xbr7 im about to order 1 in a week or 2 at the latest

  • thats coz the samsung LED has edge LED not backlight LED, edge LED has LEDs on both sides of the screen causing non uniformity near the edges, samsung is not the best they claim that they have an LED which is not really LED just to sell more, a real LED tv is actually an LCD with a backlight RGB LED, and samsung LED are being banned from stores untill they remore the word LED from their recent products

  • Sony does have better reviews than the Samsung, but it still seems like Samsung has a sharper picture with deeper colors. That edge lit LED causes a halo effect...While Backlight produces even black levels throughout the TV.

Hopefully the new XBR10 will come down in price, and deliver in quality.

  • @KazuyaaMishima

Sony is using Edge LED too, they dont claim they give you the choice of Edge and Backlite, and the Samsung backlite is better in picture quality see the 2009 8500 model, by the way Sony is using samsung LCD's Google it. and who can ban a product like tv?

  • is it even the best for gaming?

  • yes.............The best

  • Ty because i am planning on buying the 32 inch samsung 1080p lcd and it's on sale from 800$-650$ very good price.

  • You got screwed. The 8000 sammy is now on sale at 2249 at BB.

  • Sale: $3,749.98 Reg. Price: $4,499.98 You Save: $750.00. Read dear the 8000 is the LED 240 not the 120. Chicks all they are good for is swallowing not buying.

  • samsung is the best

  • im buying samsung

  • ma quando arriva in italia?

  • 19K US? its 29K in Germany.. and when i went to purchase my 52" Bravia KDL 52 V5500, someone bought it already... and i paid EUR27,000 less than him.

  • Yeah i got a boner

  • 70" is going for $19000, yes thats right $19,000 (not a typo)

WTF is up with sony/ do they actually think someone will pay for that?

  • obviously there are people who will buy this, do you honestly think they would bring it to the market if there's no audiance for it? I do think they have a marketing department. :)

  • yeah its for the people that have money to blow on a TV.

  • rich people will.

  • Thats nothing compared to their last 70' which cost $70,000 yeh a $1,000 per inch.

  • r u joking or what 70 inch will cost more than 4000$

  • Yah the 70 inch is fucking 1900$
