nice cannon you should wire two sprinkler valves together one valve doesn't have enough flow and modify them for pneumatic actuation instead of electric because they have water hammer preventers that keep the diaphragm from completely opening if you make these mods you should get 500-600fps with a beer can

Actually 1 or my 4 spud cannons uses that kind of valve. The electric solenoid is very slow. You'll see 10X the power if you modified the dump valve for high flow.

They ain't filling it entirely with sand, only partially, so the weight is the same, which makes it not hit like a brick, because there is so much space filled only with air in the can, since it doesn't take much sand to bring the weight up to the same amount. Also, just becuase they didn't use beer in *gasp* one trial doesn't mean that they do the same thing for all of them.
