Being a soldier doesn't automatically make you a hero. Less even when you are the invading force. Soldiers now fighting in Asia are not heroes, they are mercenaries. I think even Americans have redefined the term hero. Today everyone can be a hero in America as long as you put on a soldiers uniform. The concept "Hero" really has lost it's meaning back there.

We Pakistani saved the american's. we lost our 24 brave soldier. which went to help the Somalians. People say that the 18 Americans which died were heroes but my friend. the 24 Pakistani brave soldiers which died were also heroes

Memorial Day is a day to remember the soldiers that gave their lives so we can live in the country we call home and to be able to do all the things that we cherish. Theres no amount of thanks that can be given to these men and women.

This was supposed to be a tribute to fallen heroes, men who gave their lives for the sake of others. It would be nice to get back on track and remember that if not for men like these, we would not or be in danger of not enjoying the freedoms that we do. I saw Black Hawk Down and the courage of Randy Shugart and Gary Gordon move me to this day.

I love all these guys, after watching Black Hawk Down, Shughart and Gordon have a special place in my heart. These guys knew they were going to die, but they weren't going down without a fight. my grandfather was part of the 8th infantry during ww2 under command of pattan we have oictures of him with my grandfather my brother is part of the cav scouts. with the 10th mt. and i plan on joining the military when i turn 18 to fallow in the footsteps of them aslong with my father who was a piolet during the vietnam war.
