I'm a European. I wanted to know more about Arabic people in the Arabic world. It has always been my intention to educate myself, and I was looking for videos like this. I was fed up with all those biases going on tv misrepresenting Arabs by constantly associating them with religiosity, homophobia, misogyny etc. I had seldom seen secular Arabic shows in my non-Arabic country. That's why I felt it was 'refreshing' when I saw this video.
Hi there, this show was popular at the beginning,it used to be a black comedy show,later it turned down, esp. when the good actors left. Generally, Arabic media does not reflect the real life of Arabs. We Arabs find it strange when we see such things on TV claiming that this is our life. There might be, however, small groups of Arab people who may be gays, non-religious or any other "label" but it is not the common condition. You want to see Arabs life,you need to come and judge for yourself!
