Look at all the little nerdlings PMSing that "Oh NOOOOOO this isn't exactly like the comic book therefore it sucks."
Listen up children, watch the movie, appreciate the fact that we are NO LONGER in fucking 1964, and enjoy the action sequence for what it is... An action sequence.
Matt knew elektra during their college life...if anything though the meet was OK.... the Park fight was idiotic. No one does that. period. not even superheroes. lol
@Aiiwolf Dude one its a movie adaptation expect a few changes, much like how they went from web shooters to organic webbing in spiderman. Two, the fight scene is good even in a romance movies, many superheroes love women that could best them in combat, from Son Goku and Chi Chi to Bruce Wayne and Catwoman. Three, superheroics aside, its symbolism, if you want a good relationship you have to work at it. Hence what the fight was about, learning her name. You want proper continuity read the comic
EXCEPT A FEW CHANGES?! You already lost your argument, on THAT statement. And comparing DD to DBZ is irrelevant, how does that make sense. The movie sucked because it lacked character development. It was poorly written, and took away the symbolism. For example, D-Cut version of Daredevil, DD doesnt go back to Elektra's place, instead he ditches her and saves the person when he hears the screams. Critically, this movie is as bad as HULK, Batman&Robin, Jonah Hex...FF.
@Aiiwolf Congradulations you are the 3rd person who didn't really read. I was being sarcastic on the few changes due to the fact that even what you perceive as good superhero movies has also had changes. As for the DBZ remark I was simply stating that he wouldn't be the first person that fell in love with a girl that could match him in a fist fight. As for the D cut version as I recall that won over the fans more.
@Aiiwolf you want symbolism here it is. First off the costume and name itself, that alone had symbolism, taking on the shape of the devil was in honor of his father's boxing name as well as striking fear into the hearts of criminals, whereas he himself is a man without fear. The scene where he sees the kid cower in fear, he "saw" himself when he first lost his sight. This is what kept him from killing Fisk despite not only Fisk killing his loved ones, but now he knows who daredevil is.
@Aiiwolf Hulk B&R JH are one thing, but did you really have to knock Fantastic Four? The entire point of both comics and the media was that it was a dysfunctional family of superheroes. Ergo that is how they treated it in the films.
Johnny speaking, I love these scenes. The dazzling eye-to-eye contact with Matt & Elektra at the cafe' to the funny and cheesy fight at the park added with their sexy dialogue!
Lisa here ;) omg i really <3 Matt & Elektra too! Matt is SO funny, charming & flexible :D Elektra is SO BeauTiFul and tough 4 Matt :-D!!! The cafe scene is CuTe, the park fight is cheesy but funny w/Matt & Elektra's comments :)
