Hey! Im in the process of making a complete DRO setup for the Taig and will post a better video and a link to my blog on building it.
This was a proof of concept and only accurate to ~0.003" I have a 3/4" paintbrush i clean off the cartridge with between tool changes so chips are not a problem for me.
On the lathe you might want to bend some 1/8" plexi over the entire scale so if you do any sort of cooling they will stay dry
Cool. I'm currently doing this setup with my Taig Mill but am concerned about chips, dust etc. Do you find this to be a problem.?? any advise on how to keep the scales clean. ?
** on the mill you might want plexi
