@onimas1 Even if they did replace Tony Jay, how would they replace the key writers and still come off with the same story? This game series depends on the writers knowing exactly what's going on with the series. Bringing in someone new is bound to create all kinds of issues.

@onimas1 No, remaking it is out of the question. You don't just remake a franchise like this, the rather huge fanbase would be more up in arms than the Deus Ex fanbase was prior to any information regarding gameplay was known about Human Revolution. The story wasn't finished in Defiance, there was supposed to be one more, but Tony Jay's death and the departure of three of the four major story writers (the fourth died) were the nails in the coffin for another LoK game.

@onimas1 Pretty much. Defiance was supposed to be the game that lead to the grand finale, but Tony Jay's death and departure of the writers ensured it wouldn't happen.

I wish they could make a game where you are Raziel before being thrown into the depths and serving under Kain. I think it would be badass to be the Raziel as a vampire with wings.

Raziel was thrown into the depths as soon as he got the wings, but it would still be fun to play a game as him during that time period even without wings.

I believe all of that all of the plot lines were resolved. Everyone's souls were returned to the Soul Reaver, Kain was uncorrupted, and Kain defeated the Elder God. Honestly, a good game would be Kain finding new Pillar Guardians.

So this way you can get to fly around and suck blood instead of souls. Let's see what Raziel saw as he evolved.

BTW, yeah, Raziel didn't fly around, but, what if Kain had left Raziel live?... As time is circular in the series, we don't know if someday Kain manages to change their destinies letting Raziel live as a winged vampire this time... That would be useful for a new game =) ...

I think the plot of this series is so rich that you can make thousands of different stories with it...

Kain was the leader of the vampires, while Raziel was just a follower - the most trusted one, but still just a follower. From time to time, Kains powers developed and some time after him, new powers came to his followers. But this was unexpected. Raziel got wings - a new power, that even Kain didn't have. He got jelous, because Raziel showed some power, that might ruin Kains legend. So he threw Raziel into the Abbys, hoping, that Raziel dies.

Well, Blood Omen 2 and Soul Reaver 1 and 2 are easy to purchase using internet game shops, but Blood Omen 1 is almost impossible to get. I tried, but failed.

I don't really think there will be a Soul Reaver 3, cuz Raziel dies in the Defiance. And Soul Reaver is about Raziel. There might be a Blood Omen 3, but I don't really see it coming.

I hope there will be a Blood Omen 3. The Hylden just got a passage to the earth and whole Nosgoth is in danger. Kain just got his reaver imbued by Raziel and there is still a possesed Janos Audron that needs to be killed.

Actually you're somewhat wrong. Kain knew about Moebius' Time Chamber long before he resurrected the Sarafan Priests (Raziel & his brothers) as his Vampire Lieutenants. So he was deliberately -waiting- until Raziel gained the wings, at which point he set his plans in motion to go back in time and do what we see in SR2. Until Raziel 'revived' as a wraith, Kain frankly didn't give a damn anymore about his Empire.
