I own two of these models for my home and also vacation home. We also use the B60 model at work and it is on 24 hours a day and used often during business hours. Clearly something needs to be repaired with your B60. Not normal sound at all.
This vid was uploaded way back in 2008. Supposedly they've improved the noise a bit on the newer ones (even including the industrial "office" version that do not use the noise reduction technology).
The office where I work they have this model and it is extremely loud. I bought the B60 special edition for my personal use and it is almost silent. I'm not sure if they re-designed or it varies based on the model. It's definitely a buying consideration. The loud one's are VERY loud. Mine is almost silent.
Yes, my machine is this loud! I don't make coffee after 10pm out of fear my building super will start bangin' on my door to keep the noise down! Great coffee, horrible noise!
what model is this? Mine is the exact same. It wakes up my kids! It is so loud that if I am on the phone, I have to press the brew button and RUN really fast away from the Keurig. I have had some of my customers while on the phone with me think I was in a construction zone.
@reesa522 that's too bad! I still use it, but it stresses me. ha ha! once while using it on a travel mug without the drip tray thing (so it could fit - it's tall) the vibrations moved the whole non-slip mug OFF the area, tipped it over, and spilled a full cup of hot coffee on everything.
I wonder what design Keurig is going to come up with to fix this, if any.
It's the pump. Quite frankly I would rather have that noise than the crappy pumps they put in now that don't last. My first noisy machine lasted over 3 years. I have gone through 4 quiet replacements in 3 months. A 12x12 cork tile under it makes a big difference and is also a nice drip surface.
@gsbatch Bleh if you want some quality coffee without having to do it manually like for example Chemex, french press or moka pot the Thecnivorm Moccamaster brewer is the way to go. Quality copper heat element and spray spout that sprays water evenly over the grounds at the right temperature between 195-205°F from the beginning and lasts for 10-20 years and costs 300$. How much does one Keurig brewer costs that you have to replace at least 3 times during the lifespan of Moccamaster.

@joby613 The most anoying sound ever is Obama trying to make a speech without a teleprompter. "My fellow Americans, um, um, um, um, uh..."

This can be easily fixed with a K-Pad. I got mine on eBay for $15.

I cut up an old computer mouse pad and put it underneath...Seemed to help quite a bit.

LOl mine is loud too but it does help if you get some sort of rubber pad to put under your machine. That will help with vibrations at the least
