Thanks mate,it sure was nice out there. The solar set up is a goal zero 7. I use it to charge phone, ipod, camera batteries. It charges most devices in an hour. I only take it when in a canoe or kayak.
@Combollian I'd say it is worth it if you are doing a long hike(over 3 days) and you like to use all your gadgets. Otherwise it's better for canoe/kayak camping I think.
Kangaroo valleys a nice spot, nice and quiet without motorboats, I'm stuck just south of Moree and could do with a kayak, lot of the roads have been flooded out. :( By the way did I miss a vid on ur solar setup? and is that for your camera batteries? You've def. found some great hammock spots minus the curious possum and the red bellied finger web spiders ;)
Thanks mate. I did buy the old town guide 147 but I'm going to sell it soon, as I want to get kayak. I just did a trip down shoalhaven gorge in it this weekend. I'm going to put it on ebay in a couple of weeks so I'll let you know.
a lot better when it's strung together isn't it .. beware the Aussie funnel web, their tunnels can run for metres with quite a few entrances ,they're everywhere up here in the mountains, makes sense to use a hammock .. thanks for sharing , enjoyed it ..
Great trip! Really enjoyed the vid!

@phrayzar I'm watching one on ebay at the moment, not sure if I want to get it though, is it worth the weight in a backpack?

Came together really well. Great looking spot. Did you but the 147 that you had on loan? Is it still on the market? Keen to get one of them.
