  • No longer a Mormon, but this song is still close to my heart.

  • I believe this is Vocal Point - yes?

  • @nurlond Thats a good questions I'm not sure.

  • @keltontrey I'm really thinkin' it is the BYU men's choir. Nothing negative toward VP, but it seems too carry too much depth for them.

  • @NeroBNiv You are correct, it is the BYU mens choir, I wish MOTAB or someone else would pick this up and preform it.

  • just allah

is the real only god !

  • @ahmad00502

Riiiiight, I'm sure he is proud of his people, still stuck in the 13th century, contributing nothing to society, only leeching off of it. Riiiight.

  • @ahmad00502 Christ the Lord---the trinity--is the only God...the Christian God

  • @Marksnotebook Never seen the "trinity"in any canon of scripture.

  • @keltontrey It's implied. Plenty of verses to back it up, and several denominations have defended it before Mormonism bopped around. Besides, when you say there isn't one, are you saying Christ is a separate deity from God? Isn't that polytheism? Hey-o, you're not a Christian are you?

  • @JstHudson And I have plenty of verses "implying" that all 3 Gods make up the Godhead, you just choose to ignore those.

  • @keltontrey Yeah, guess what? We call those three persons, not three separate gods. We also say that it makes up the Godhead, but Mormons go off the deep end saying they're three separate deities. This is polytheism. Therefore, this is not Christianity because as God said "I am the Lord the God, thou shalt have no other gods before me" referring to his singular self.

  • @JstHudson You should do a little more research, the LDS view that God is 3 separate beings has been around for a long time. If you actually read the scriptures and think about what it's saying if's fairly obvious that the Godhead is not 3 people in one entity. That's unreasonable and is not duplicated anywhere else in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's a perpetuated theory from the council of Nicea.

  • I know that my Redeemer lives !

  • P.S. I think Mormons believe in a word called AGENCY. This is how they explain what is happening on earth...and a war that was fought over it...each one of them and from what I have heard even you, fought for that right. You make no sense by your actions and words. As Arthur Schopenhauer has said: Truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed, and third, it is accepted as being self-evident...someday, you will come to know this law. Let it Go.

  • Godbtheglory

Are you finished? When will folks like you leave it alone...God loves you wheather or not you love him...Just remember when your time comes, that those who refused to acknowledge him will be forgotten by him...until then... let us enjoy the beauty that HE has given US thru music...and end this constant triad of abuse to ward your fellow man...thank you.

  • Is it such a crime to Love My God Creator of Heaven and Earth. Why do ppl get angry just because I say I believe, trust and have Faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who was crucified and resurrected in the 3rd day. Or if I say I love my Jesus because when he resurrected He left me His Holy Spirit to be able to fight against the adversary. Why? This is my believe. And in my believe in Christ Jesus there is hope. Thank you for my space.

  • @Godbtheglory1 - It is not what you believe in that angers ppl, its is the standards you apply to your belief that creates anger. You willingly abandon reason and logic in the name of your " faith". Throwing reason to the side in favor of personal belief can never be applauded. Making the pieces fit is not to be encouraged!!!

  • @Godbtheglory1 No its not a crime, and we have every right to love, praise and live for him for that is the reason we live today. JESUS IS LORD Continue to praise and love him with your all. and don't be discouraged when others dont understand. all we can do is pray for them. Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and know that he is in control. I LOVE JESUS He has given me hope, gave me a reason to live, turned my whole life around set me from from bondages and my past and now I'm FREE. STAY BLESSED =)

  • against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

  • @Godbtheglory1 - God is not Omnipotent, he can not sin, the power to do evil or to do wrong is indeed a power that humans posses, if i can be wrong and god can not, then i am more powerful than god!! God must know of suffering if he is all powerful, he must know of it and do nothing, or he must know of it and can do nothing to prevent it, or he must know of it, and choose not to do anything, or he does not know about suffering, either way he is useless to me!!

  • On 9/21/2008 my child Melissa was given 1 hr to live at Columbia Presbyterian Hosp Bx NY. Both her lungs were unable to stop bleeding.Drs said that not even a lung transplant would save her. I remember how in the supernatural God used Moses to part the red sea.So I prayed God in the supernatural power You gave Moses I ask You to close my daughter's lungs like You did to the red sea.She flat line 8 times and was suppose to be brain dead Drs call it miraculous.I dare to believe I receive

  • you mormons are still poking sticks at rattlesnakes...why dont you just enjoy the beauty of your music and leave those who wish to destroy everything beautiful to the god whom you worship...when you answer one of these who know nothing of your religion you just invite a triade of hate. Your music give us all great joy, they give us nothing ...Christ in his final statement to those who did not understand him he SAID NOTHING...Silence was his answer to those who could not and would not listen

  • @iamdlogan1 Thank you. Sometimes common sense isn't so common, is it? I've been wishing someone would say what you have made so plain. Please people . . . let it go.

  • @iamdlogan1 your such a stud!

  • What a beautiful rendition.. and in Acapella no less.. You have taken this hymn to the next level.. absolutely beautiful.

  • One of the most beautiful renditions I have ever heard. Thank you so much.

  • Alma 32:27 "Yea, if Ye can no more than to desire to believe" I testify that if we do as Alma described in that single verse, that the perfect knowledge We Humbley seek will be manifested to us by The Power of The Holy Ghost! I know it and Testify of it because I did it!!!

  • i feel very sorry for who ever this "nonbeliver "person is.But all the same, we who believe there is a higher power than us n science, will keep u in our prayers so don't worry our heavenly Father will touch u at the right time without u knowing.Trust me it will happend!

  • powerful so powerful heaven on earth

  • This song is comforting to me. I love him and he does live. May i live for him.

  • I am no longer a Mormon, but this song is one of my favorites.

  • The only way to know is to pray and ask God. He will let you know in your mind and in your heart.

  • I'm not on here for a debate.... I only want to say this song is so beautiful and I really love listening to it... I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES THE JOY THIS SWEET SENTENCE GIVES! :)

  • :)

I once was member of LDS this remind me of those days

  • This IS quite possibly THE best interpretation of this song I have ever heard. The transitions remove any need for accompaniment whatsoever. The depth and nuance is astounding. Thank you for posting this song. It WILL live on throughout the eternities. It is far too moving to be anything less than perfect. You see. . . it IS possible for mere humans to reach perfection!

  • i really love this song,it feels me so good thank you

  • I shall sing in the synagogues of the Lord and shall rejoice in my salvation and the Lord shall make the saints co-partakers in His goodness and kingdom forever and forever.

The saints of God will live in immorality and crowns placed on our heads and thrones for us to sit on.

    And you RobertBaral will serve

    serve and serve and serve...

and serve and serve and serve

    eternally you'll be a servant.

(oh just when you think you get a break from serving, you're still serving.)

  • Congratulations on posting quite possibly the most meaningless garbage on youtube. Take your pathetic and ignorant hatred elsewhere.

  • Follow the blackest part of your soul. The dark messiah is who we search for. Cold rays of moonlight describing his rank. Satan's blood, it infects your soul. Satan's blood, it is dark as coal. Covered with blood of faith and dead prayers. We walk deeper into demon's territory. Holiness destroyed as the gates torn free. He is the master of dark arts. Hypnotic eyes to break your mind. Mystic circle will close this oath. Burn the light as a symbol to fight. Satan and I are as one.
  • LOL @RobertBaral

  • ROFLMAO@ROBERTBARAL

    DU SHWINEHUND!

  • Two thousand years of blind denial. You are following pale illusions. As you listen to the false preachers. You delight in this ignorant slavery. The enslavery that is chist. He is the ultimate deception of life. Adorning his empty words. Drown your mind his weakened holiness. The parasite of arrogance. Satan appears to halt this endless folly. Open your eyes and see the dark master. As he crushes your savior into the ground. The blood of christ washes along the shores of hell.
  • This is why the BYU Singers are among, if not the best, of collegiate choirs in the U.S. the music is beautifully stunning alone, but it is the conviction and faith, in essence the very soul of each singer is seen and felt when they sing their testimony of the Savior.

  • I know that My Redeemer lives and loves me.

  • I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano & organ. On this Easter (April 12), we sang this as our closing hymn. It is #619 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship. However, it was to the tune, DUKE STREET, attributed to John Hatton. We sang this also at my father's funeral in 1974. Just thought I'd share.

  • Thanks for sharing, I bet that would have been a great arrangement to hear.

  • DUKE STREET is also sung to Jesus Shall Reign, Wheree'er the Sun. That is a beloved hymn.

  • Im glad that this brings you comfort, and i respectfully ask as an athiest how you know that he lives??? No intent to upset or offend any one here but you have stated that you know he lives. I simply would ask you how you know?

  • From experiences to sacred to discuss. However one does not simply go from not believing to believing, you must humble yourself and honestly want to know. If that is the case and you ask you will know.

The other thing most obvious to me is looking at this earth, everything on it, our bodies, all the way down to the atoms that make up our world, sure adding all those together there could be a 1 in 100,000,000,000,000 chance that it happened naturally, or that a God created everything.

  • Thanks for asking, I believe that you can know, and if you put it to the test you will know for yourself.

  • Thankyou for your reply.

Although i disagree that the complexity of our planet or bodies is proof of God, the alternatives are also difficult to believe.

However to asume that the universe is the work of God simpliy because we can not come up with another explination seems to me to be an easy answer for a complex question.

P.S. Nice to know that thier are people of faith who can have propper conversations with out resorting to childish name calling.

  • Much respect, I've met atheists that argue and ppl of faith as well. I agree with kentontrey, that one does have to humble themselves and seek. But we all have our own choices and at the end of the day I respect yours and even though I don't know you, I have love for you as a brother in Christ. God Bless, Peace be with you.

  • Thanks for asking and being so respectful! You know by the power of the Holy Spirit. It will shake you from inside with truth and joy.

  • Its ok, my goal is not to annoy or upset people, i simply dont get it! And im not sure i want to get it if you know what i mean! There are certian things i can not look past.

  • What are these things you can't look past? Just curious. And I also want to thank you for having respect for our beliefs. That's becoming more and more rare.

  • Well i can't look past the bibles teaching on homosexuals for example, or how many of the bible's passages seem to incite murder as a punishment for being gay or adultary an so on. And how the bible has been largely discredited by modern science, the creation story for example is obviously not true. Just things like that make christianity seem a little bit undesireable.

  • @nonbe1iever , Don't worry you live in a time when you will have more signs than you can possibly imagine. In about 10 years you will start to see, even greater than there are now, signs of the second coming of Jesus Christ, and the fulfillment of bible prophecy.

  • Well your entitled to your beliefs. It depends who is loooking at the "signs" i guess, you guys do have a history of being creative with the truth to put it politely. You do tend to set the bar pretty low when it comes to "signs" or "mirracles".

  • I guess none of that really matters if there is a God and he did create you, and commanded you to pro-create. If there is no God you have a point.

...And what science discredits today it will uphold 10 yrs from now...Science doesnt have the greatest track record either.

  • Ye your right, it does depend, just remember that gods existsance is not 50-50, it is a number so small that it is not worth thinking about.

  • @nonbe1iever, your right it just barley larger than the probability that all this just happened to create its self :)

  • Created is the wrong word, for something to be created it must have a creator. I would say the universe is not a creation but a constant, not created by anything - like your God, right? :-)

  • I dont know, lot's of scientists believe that black holes "create" things and also destroys things.

And if we are an example of what the universe constantly puts out, why can we not easily find a duplicate of "earth" or any living thing?

  • We have seen so little of the universe!! Thier may well be BILLIONS of planet simillar to ours. We havent found one because we are such a tiny tiny part of the universe that it will take many many more years of research and technological advances befor we do.

  • So are you saying you believe in things you cannot see or prove? :)

  • You are seriously drawing a comparason between an old book, and over 100 years of research at the for-front of scientific thinking. I think i have just a little more reason to assume thier are planets like ours in the universe, than you do to assume virgins can give birth. No comparason.

btw - you stil have'nt said how god was created?

  • @nonbe1iever, I wish the burden of proof was on me, I know how all we see came about. It been told to us for thousands of years, by people who have seen God, face to face, seen angles, and seen the entire creative process unfolded to them. But apparently this is too hard to believe. So you are left to wait until the plethora of scientific theories out there can be proven. I don't need to explain how God was created, can you tell me how a preòn is made? does that mean they don't exist?

  • So word of mouth is good enough for you then? Forget research and science and mathmatics, some one told you so it must be true. You do not know anything about how the universe came to be, because you are just a human like me, and every one else, you have no super powers that mean you can talk to a god that i cant, you dont know, you believe!

The burden of proof is on you!!! Your the one claiming to have a 100% knowledge of the universe, how arrogant! Btw its people who SAY they've seen god!

  • @nonbe1iever I know that God lives, not because of word of mouth tradition, but because I have had experiences with God that have confirmed it to me. I know that all those who seek to truly come to know Him will find that witness.

  • No you've had experiences that your brain has interpeted as being god, probably because you wanted to interpret it as god to begin with. Personal experience is not proof of gods exsistance, its just proof that god is one way people chose to interpet events that occour in there lives.

If your experence had happened to me, i would probably interpret it a different way to you. If you belive anything hard enough your brain will eventually let you belive it is true.

  • @nonbe1iever As man is God once was, as God is man may become.

  • @TheSp4rrow

    What are you talking about?

    Medication time it think!!!!

  • You have a hard time swallowing what we have been told here on earth so far. You wouldn't believe how god was created if it was told to you now, so why would god reveal that? Once we can swallow what we learn on earth when we get to heaven we will be revealed the mysteries of how god was created.

  • @mmgeek1 - So what you're saying is, unless you already believe in the dogma of faith then you can not understand the obvious holes in the theory.? What we have been told on earth, has been told to us by humans, and no-one or no-thing else!!! You only know about God, because another HUMAN told you about him! Btw why don't you tell me how god was created anyway?? My theory is humans made him up, for obvious reasons of social and cultral controll and harmony....whats your theory???

  • @nonbe1iever It doesn't matter what ppl think, its the truth. The truth will always be here and it will never change. The Heart of the Gospel. No one stated this truth better than the apostle John.In the beginning was the Word and the Word was withGod.and the Word wasGod,He was in the beginning withGod...In Him was life, and the life was the light of men... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

  • @Godbtheglory1 - Apply your logic and reasoning to any court in the western world an see how far it stands up. Its like saying, "well your honour, i can't prove it but i know with all my heart that this man is a murderer, because someone told me, but you can't see him or speak to him, and i can't prove he exists i just KNOW because i just do"...not sure you'd get to far.

Also your doing yourself no favours with all the preaching, ive heard every line in the book, so please give it a rest!!

  • @nonbe1iever Have u ever realized how many innocent ppl are in jail. How many times this system that was created to defend us literally destroys man. It doesn't matter what they system believes it is the truth. Have u ever considered the fact that this may not have been intended for u, so please give it a res!!

  • @nonbe1iever God doesn't need to answer to non-believers or anyone for that matter. He is the Creator OF Heaven and Earth. Your absolutely right, we don't except Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. There is no relationship. We are just a little speck of sand among the sand. He was always there.

  • @Godbtheglory1 - Your logic is baffeling, but not surprising. Look if this how you rationalise in your head then super, just please use a little more common sense and reasoning when dealing with other humans, thankyou.

  • @nonbe1iever

On 9/21/2008 my child Melissa was given 1 hr to live at Columbia Presbyterian Hosp Bx NY. Both her lungs were unable to stop bleeding.Drs said that not even a lung transplant would save her. I remember how in the supernatural God used Moses to part the red sea.So I prayed God in the supernatural power You gave Moses I askYou to close my daughter's lungs like U did to the red sea.She flat line 8 times and was suppose to be brain dead Drs call it miraculous.

  • @Godbtheglory1 - Firstly i'm very glad that your child pulled through, but thier really isn't anything to be said about personal experiances. I wasn't there, but i take it on face value that your child was very ill and you prayed to god, and then she got better. If this is the standard of proof required for you then fine, good luck, its not for me. Also doctors will openly admitt that they don't understand the workings of the human body 100%, and thier are thousands of unexplained recoveries.

  • @nonbe1iever Thank you for being sensitive towards my daughter's recovery. I was there. And many others. Not only were they non-believers but also became believers. Drs admitted and also gave me written testimony of not taking responsibility for the recovery. This is God's mercy toward me as a believer. Because the truth of the matter is we did not deserve it. This is what mercy is all about. This has nothing to do with common sense. But everything to do with faith and truth in the Almighty God.

  • @Godbtheglory1 - Firstly any skeptic who is turned by an unexplained event is not a true skeptic, if all it took was 1 unexplained recovery and they jumped to supernatural conclusions then i suggest they were not real skeptic to begin with. Also any so called god who asks a human to betray his natural quest for knowledge, and resign him or her self to a life of dogmatic obedience, has both miscalculated and underestimated the unquenchable human thirst for knowledge and progress.

  • Understandable. A couple more questions though. Are you Atheist then and what is your opinion about homosxuality. Obviously I don't think that they should be stoned and killed haha but in my opinion I think that it's not right (putting aside the religious aspect of it)

  • @Nixmix24 , No I'm not an Atheist, and no I don't believe gays should be stoned, I don't believe anyone should be stoned, I don't care who you are. Yes I don't think it is right...it;s obvious that we were not created to work that way.

  • Oh did I reply to your post? I meant to ask that to nonbe1iever I'll repost ot for him.

  • Well technically i guess i am an Atheist, in as much as i dont believe god exisists, but i fear atheists in a attempt to protect themselves from the religous have become sort of dogmatic themselves,so i dont believe in the god of the Old Testament if thats what your asking.

As for homosexuality, its not my thing, but fundamentally i have no problem with it. I know gay people who love each other every bit as much as my parents love each other. Thier are obvious biological issues with it though.

  • He lives to plead for me above =]

Thats so comforting. thanks you for this video =]]

  • This is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks!

  • wow! thats all i can say! i LOVE this! and i know that He does live! it soooo wonderful thanks!

  • wow this was really great. what year was this?

  • I think it was 1999 or 2000 I was on my mission and remember hearing it, and just being amazed, the one done during the priesthood session is much better...if you can believe it. :)

  • Possibly the best rendition of this song I have ever heard. Next to its performance during the 1999 Priesthood session of conference which I hope to post soon. I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I have.

  • He lives, my kind, wise, heavenly Friend,

    He lives and loves me to the end;

    He lives, and while He lives, Ill sing;

He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.

  • He truly lives!

    thanks for posting this video!
