My Boxer was 8.5 and got sick with the same exact thing 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. He literally just woke up one morning, paralyzed in his hind legs. The first vet misdiagnosed him with arthritis in his back. By the time we took him to the 2nd vet, 3 days later, the window of opportunity for surgery (24 hours) had already passed. We lost him the day after Thanksgiving. Virtually no notice. I am so happy to see that you are not giving up on her and she is responding to the meds, somewhat.
