  • nice fight

  • Neither is in the same league as Gina Carano.

  • That's why she's got so much trouble cutting down to the rest... : ).

Serious now : This impression may be caused by the fact, that she was built up until now.

    Nothing wrong with that.

But it is the first time, a female MMA fighter

has her opponents chosen like a promising boxer with a good manager.

In fact few male MMA fighters are so lucky.

And in my opinion C.C. is exactly the same league : Naturally strong, lots of determination, - both very promising talents. No vets - yet.

  • Hey dumbass, they're in different weight classes. Plus I bet you Roxy has better jujitsu.

  • That was an old comment. Who cares anyway? Are you denying Carano is a better fighter? Don't be a dumbass. Perhaps you are gay and your sore asshole is putting you in a bad mood. Snap out of it little man.

  • I would love to see Modafferi fight more often but she just can't seem to get fights. In fact, I'm beginning to think everybody is afraid of her because she is such a dedicated fighter and improving all the time.

  • Megumi is great she just need to work on her boxing or karate!! megumi no te have to be quicker stronger and more hard!!!

Great match roxanne really did step up here game!!!! Great boxing that was what decided this match and I think around 6:30 while Megumi was on the floor being pounded by Roxanne that she figure she would just wait it out.

hahahaha Great match!! MUch love for the lady fighters and grapplers!!!!

  • Great, Roxy is all action no talk. She is the one female I know that fights hard like a man

  • "When it comes to martial arts, I take everything as a personal challenge to myself. If I don't give training my absolute all, I feel like a weak person. Winning or losing doesn't matter as much as pulling off a move successfully that I've been trying to learn. I want to be the strongest person I can be, so I always push myself. This has carried over into my life outside the dojo or gym." Roxanne in a 2004 interview. Great attitude!

  • Roxanne may be sublimely skilled in all other departments but her boxing technique is suspect. She is essentially an "arm puncher", never driving through with the full weight of her body, so the effects of her punches are cumulative more than percussive. She'd probably be most unwise to try it, but a five minute session with the likes of Ann Wolfe or Lucia Rijker would teach her some very hard facts of life.

  • I would say that was accurate...changing, though!

  • Roxanne is a hell of a fight, it's easy to talk but I would like to see you up there

  • If it's me you're addressing, I'm happy to pay fulsome tribute to Roxy, but she herself is acknowledging that her boxing skills are incomplete. She's not getting up on her toes, there's little lateral movement, everything's aimed at the head and her punches lack all real drive or snap, basically because she's just pushing her fists forward into her opponent. No one is perfect (except me of course).

  • Reminds me of Royce - Yoshida 2 only Roxanne was more dominating. That should be embarrassing to a fighter turtling so long and getting your head punched.

  • I wouldnt say she was dominating - it was actually a very competitive fight.

  • Gr8 fight!

  • Thanks a lot!

  • I really thought you had the first fight as well! Nice to see you still competing!

  • Roxy, can you post the two fights of you and Jennifer Howe? Those were great wins! I didn't think anyone could beat Jennifer Howe -- let alone TWICE!

  • Yeah!!!! Do it PLEASEEEEE

  • Hey Rox.. Good fight.

I don't see why your opponent was wearing something that could hinder her abilities, but to each their own. Where do you currently train? I know a guy named ryan bow (do a search for him on here) that also does shooto (in japan), and has his own dojo called Kaminari. Go for it.

  • Hi Kamikazemma, I don't see what she was wearing that hindered her?

I train at Wajitsu Keishukai. I know Ryan pretty well. We have lunch together a few times a month. Unfortunately, our practice times and locations don't match, but I'd love to train with him! Thanks for the advice!

    Roxy

  • I think the only thing that was hindered was her fashion sense, lol.

  • nice judo throw!
