The MVP is for the selection process/ceremony. Hyun's ceremony was based the lead character in the Korean drama Chuno (Slave Hunters). The drama is the highest rated show in Korea this yr and on the day of this MSL selection, the grand finale of the show aired. So that's why he had a scar on his face/carried a sword. Sea was saying that the speech part that Hyun did when he faced the other gamers was his idea.

I'm kinda getting annoyed at Flash.

When each player had to vote for the best player nomination, Flash got picked. It is revealed that Flash voted some random Protoss teammate. Obviously he didn't want to vote for Jaedong because he wanted the best player award for himself

Personally I thought of it as selfish, its an award that doesn't even do anything. Whether Jaedong picked Flash or not, we will never know.
