@SanctumStudios it may have failed at solving cobain's death, but it is not a failed documentary, the real subject of his films are to show what he goes through to get it made, and it did a great job at showing their mental state
Badawi's an idiot! Was there an actual question in there or does she have a personal vendetta against Broomfield. In any case, she hasn't got a chance against him!
What Nick does in my view, is reminds us that behind every cardboard cutout the media profits from pushing & destroying, lies a human being, able to be at least partially understood & empathized with by us all. He shows us that none of us are black & white, so easy to love or hate - he shows us that the way many politicians want us to believe, is far too simplistic for us as voters, thinkers, & (ideally) humane people, we need to look past the likes of Zeinab's black and white simplicity.
This is also a perfect example of someone (Badawi) who is clearly way out of her depth. She is essentially a newscaster; a telepromt reader, a job anyone with clear diction could perform, given enough training. An investigative journalist, an intellectual, an engaged thinker, she most clearly is not. There is little or no cohesion to her questions, in fact the sudden change of topic makes the piece appear as if it has been poorly spliced.
This kind of non-sense television is ruining the BBC.
I wonder if Broomfield knew what he was in for before he arrived in the studio? I can't see why an articulate and honest man such as he would allow himself to be treated so disrespectfully and so dishonestly.
This is a prime example of how rotten the BBC has got, I mean look at the title, the title of the show alone speaks volumes - it is yet another example of how Britain follows the U.S. in terms of its ever increasingly sensationalist 'reporting' loosely dressed up as engaged debate.
kurt & courtney was a documentary fail in my opinion. proved nothing and was poorly finnished.

Nick Broomfield is the best! This reporter doesn't understand the media and more importantly how you produce a documentary!
