Yes at the end of the film he did fail miserably but I can understand why he did not enter the glass box because well..... Hoffman is not exactly trustworthy is he? Strahm probably felt he was using reverse Phsycology on the tape to make as if if he did enter he would die in any case :(

@KingOfRock8887 I mean it was really Hoffmans fault that Amanda and John (Jigsaw) died in the end with the whole 'blackmail' business and he definetly deserved to have his jaw ripped off at the end of the sixth film and I certaintly hope he does die sooner or later. And think about it 'Strahm' used more sense then idiot officer Riggs or poorly demented husband Jeff or the girl who got her hands trapped in the glass box in saw 2.... So case closed. :)

Yes it was Hoffman's fault, and the fact also remains that Amanda had emotions, Jigsaw had philosphy, and Hoffman has no emotions or philosphy, we know now that Hoffman isnt Jigsaw, Hoffman got put in the trap and escape we will see if he is instanly rehabilated or Hoffman will just became more of a madman

This trailer is for another iteration of the "Saw" series -- and yet the trailer has a Christian hymn for background music, as well as displaying phrases like "His message is righteous" and "His love is everlasting" for the villain. I realize that Jigsaw (at least the first one -- I haven't seen much of the Saw movies, so please forgive me if I don't have my facts straight or a clear understanding of events) is trying to "help" people appreciate life, but I still find all of this disturbing.

I saw this last night it was good only

the theatre I was at was shit. first they fucked the projector up so it showed people from the neck down then half way through the movie the screen dimmed and stopped so they started it up again. even with those major fuck ups it was still good. PS. if you ever go to Penticton BC, Canada don't go to the pen mar theatre unless you want to watch movies with a messed up screen ratio.

SAW 5 is frickin great--just as good as the others!!! All the SAW movies are excellent. I love how the sequence of events overlap throughout the movies within the series--so cool, excellent traps, writing, and directing using flashbacks/sequencing, and the acting is decent for a horror flick. *Sucks we got to wait another year, good stuff.

No one would have guessed that because it's rather silly. Not to mention that it had no bearing on the story and essentially changed nothing at all: it was just a "huh?" moment. Twists are supposed to make you see the whole story in a new light ("The Usual Suspects") or further an ongoing plot in some way; that twist essentially did neither. And then the sequels just introduced meaningless subplots and layers of obfuscation so that the ensuing films could have something to "wrap up."

Yup, I love horror. Recently I've enjoyed "À l'intérieur"/"Inside" (make sure you get the unrated cut), The Descent, Hatchet, and Wrong Turn 2 (a direct to dvd movie!). Let The Right One In rules. Aside from the twist, High Tension was cool. The Orphanage was well done. All-time faves include Cronenberg, Romero, and Carpenter's work. The Exorcist, the Shining, and SotL are good "classy" horror. And now there's lots of "pretty good" stuff, like The Ruins or The Strangers, that's better'n Saw.
