I ran one of these to test reliability and it failed so hard if i had the money to sue intel i would ave.. i had to get it replaced 4 times in ONE month.. hell and all i did was leave my computer on all night. not to mention at about 75% processing load it gets haulting. you wont find any arguments with me about nvidia products ive never even bothered with anything else because i like them so much. but intel no nononono
@NateN34 newp saying that ive never owned a good one. hell theres proly millions of people who have but not me.. i can only judge what ive recieved. ive never had a bad amd processor so i go with what i know for fact. *shrugs*
dude u can't say intel vs amd. intels yes its more stable but much more expensive and amd has some features that intil dosen't have(and the other way) its up to the user to say what he need) and if you wanna change u system in five years, maybe u dont wanna use to much money ( sry my bad english )
and to spunkkk if u haven't buy the com yet read about some of the features and find out what u gonna need GL :p
@radok79 if you mean AMD high end gives the same performance as Intel/Nvidia high end system you are wrong and yes Intel/Nvidia high end system cost a lot more
@jacekantoine gig for gig mhz for mhz amd is cheeper.. not one of the other can outdo in performance when one comes out with something better the other matches it intel is just far more expensive.
@radok79 you are wrong again there is nothing AMD has that can compete with Intel core i7 processors exp. i7-990x and i7-2600k Intel has been dominating the performance market since core i7 release in 2009 that's 3 years now and for graphics Nvidia 3-4x GTX 580 is the best performce at the moment yes all very expensive hardware but best performance is best performance and that's Intel/Nvidia
Hey. Im a hardware nubcake and I need a little advice on my next build. I made a list of the computer I'll be buying next month. But I'm not sure wich RAM to pick. This video is over a year old. Are the memory shown in the video still good - if not, wich memory should i pick?
If i were you i would buy an Intel I7 Sandy Bridge 2600K, this is the new gen intel CPU's which are faster then the 'older' I7's, they produce less heat AND they consume less power (95Watt TDP).
1000 watt is overkill for your system, 850 watt would be more then enough ;) (Corsair TX850 or HX850 f.e.)
You can replace the GTX580 for an HD6950 and unlock it to an HD6970 if you can. If you want pure power, go for the GTX580.
What happens if I use Dominator 1600mhz with Dominator GT 1600mhz ram on the same dual channel ram motherboard... I know is not recommended to use different brands but... dunno if it will work because the only difference is the latency. PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER!
@sdhdgasd no because the phenom II X4 uses a dual channel memory architecture. This is a triple channel kit. That said, the modules will work on a am3 motherboard but will not be able to run at dual channel with three installed. There are dominator gt memory kits that come in 4gb and 8gb configurations that would suit an am3 motherboard because they have an equal amount of dimms per channel, 1X2gb for the 4gb kit; and 2X2gb for the 8gb kit.
Heat is bad for your memory. No wonder why i forget things.

Yeah these ones are fantastic!
i7 960 1366 @3.8 ghz
Dominator GT 6gig @ 2500mhz
Asus P6T deluxe V2 motherb.
GTX 295 Quad SLI
Case: Level 10 GT Thermaltake...
Intel SSD Raid 0 2x 160gig @ 12gig/sec
This is a good gaming pc for low budget gamers, about 2250 euros, Dominator runs great with the i7 core!

u don't need a 1000W psu(850W) would be enough ? and stop using intel and nvidia! if u use amd u will see a huge price fall
but dominater gt is a good choice if you will use intel :=)

Price = quality?
If you place AMD/ATI vs Intel-Nividia.. wich one you think will win?

@shenz1995 AMD fan boys are always preaching don't use this or that to expensive but the truth is if you want the best you get what you pay for :)

Future compus:
CPU = Core i7 I7-950
MoBo = Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7
GFX = ASUS GTX580 (1.5 GB)
PSU = OCZ Z 1000W
Tower = Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced
HDD=Seagate Barracuda XT 2TB x2 (raid0)

Can You Run 12GB Of This Ram on Asus Rampage III Extreme Motherboard??
Because I Only See People With 6Gb :S
GamerStudioFx 1 year ago
@GamerStudioFx Yes, but most people only get 6GB because you don't need 12GB for "normal guy" use. You would never use 12GB gaming.

Does it work with Phenom II x6 ???
mlbigbird 1 year ago
@mlbigbird The memory would work, but AMD does not support TrippleChannel.
So one stick will run SingleChannel, while the other two run Dual.
