The director -Marc Forster- has stated (according to wikipedia) that his not a fan of 007. You can sense this in the QoS original pre title opening sequence. Except for the last 5 seconds ('It's time to get out" line) most of it is too generic.
This was really great! I really liked the movie, the only thing i really would have probably changed is the song, but now seeing this, I think they should have started the movie this way, it would have been a greater opening for the film, great work!!!
For me this was much more interesting than the original as it immediately establishes the story and pushes it forward. The car chase scene was really more of an action sequence and was a bit more jarring than usual-- needs to be viewed twice to be appreciated.

I would've kept Quantum of Solace as is except edit the gunbarrel sequence(properly like in Casino Royale) and intro music the way you did.
