This is typical Weckl style.....effortless, smooth, elegant, and he makes it look so easy, and sound so fantastic. Dave is a drumming genius......I am sure if Chuck Norris was in the audience, he would've had tears in eyes....
The song's title is 'Go For It'... great melody in there... Got stuck with this song until now... so relaxing 'smooth jazz' gig... The album version seems to be played using a steel string guitar with lots of percussion plus quite a 'raw' feel. I personally prefer this video's version... very tight on drums (Dave Weckl - Need I Say More?) , bass (Sklar - Father Time), 'supporting' guitar (Great Fills) and of course the keys (Awesome Player)... Bernie's got class A 'cats' with him!
Fantastic music and live sound! I think all musicians here are more than excellent, but the the real thing is that they sound like one and that's magic.
@Andersdanik That would be Leland Sklar. He has a very impressive musical resume, ranging from Phil Collins to James Taylor and on down the list. Pretty sweet to see him playing with Dave Weckl (and Bernie Williams).
@Andersdanik YEAH, He looks like like evil Kinevil..........Shit in my pants if he had to wake me up in the middle of the night.. If he gets fed up with music, he could audition for a part in Lord of the Rings 2 /3 which ever.....LOL
The drums sound like magic. As good as a sound mix gets. I don't hate the vibe of the music, it has a touch of funk. But I guess an 80's sound isn't old enough to pass for retro yet.
whats the name of this song?!! please
Rafamartinez01 1 month ago
Bernie Williams - guitar
Marc Bonilla - guitar
Matt Rollings - keyboards
Leland Sklar - bass
Dave Weckl - drums

Correction: those people don't classify as musicians, remember their pop bovine.swine
Further correction: Bernie Williams as sports player does sort of disappoint me.
Oh well. then again nine compare to Frank Zappa, Kimio Mizutanti, Roy Buchanan, Passport or Virus.

What?!?!, a music group that isn't in the pathetic vein of Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, or Justin Timberlake.
How dare they ?!?!!
LOL!!!!
(*it's sarcasm*)

@yahooo8 Legacy! He doesn't use Evolutions on the left side of the kit.. At least not for the last few years..
chavezcervantes 1 year ago
@chavezcervantes True. He used Evolutions only in his Natural Ev. DVD (2000), when Legacy was not employed yet.
