Man you can really see how much the death of Phil Hartman affected the people there. Look at Dave Foley, his hair grayed out A LOT between Season 4 and 5 (it was already starting to gray but it easily doubled in amount.) And Andy Dick obviously lost some weight and was starting to do drugs, look at how drawn and gaunt his face becomes over the course of season 5.
@eternal0star not that i doubt phil's death was a huge loss for every life he touched, andy had been doing drugs for years before this. in fact, he hooked phil's wife brynn up with the coke that would inevitably lead to phil's death. dave was going through insane marital troubles at this point. i'm not trying to play down phil's death. it was absolutely a terrible, terrible loss and i'm sure they were all still grief-stricken. just a few extra tidbits for yas. :)
@jeshface Actually he had stopped doing drugs before Hartman's death. He actually recounts a story about Hartman being the only person who visited him in rehab or even talked to him during that period. My point was that he had started doing drugs AGAIN. Also the cocaine given to phil hartmans wife didn't lead to Phils' death. That was literally MONTHS before hand. Phils wife was fucked up, Andy Dick giving her cocaine one time months before hand didn't push her over the edge.
@jeshface Still the stuff about Dave Foley I did not know. And you are probably right that it was one of the leading causes of his hair graying and other health problems.
Ditto-- I have the whole series on DVD, and Season 5 was a bit of a turnaround after Jon Lovitz joined the cast. It never quite had that snap after Phil Hartman passed away...
That guy was a setup, you're thinking of the episode where Bill McNeal was in the institution. The guy who thought it was live keeps pacing. Vicki's reaction to the guy here walking in on the scene is priceless.
