Well who wouldve guessed.....in todays over-PC world, the dickheads behind the film decided that the world-famous iconic Cobra Commander mask was "too KKK".

So what did they do? They gave him a fishbowl head. Thanks guys, please fuck this legendary franchise up even more. No please, go ahead, have Zartan in it but not the rest of his gang...oh wait they did that too.

Honestly I'm glad theyre making a film but they fucked up the most important character...looks more like a Doctor Who bad guy now.

I don't like the movie CC look. Not because it's "too sci-fi" or that I'm being a "raping my childhood!!!" douche. He's just missing that certain charisma the Commander should have. I know it's silly to say that based on just a static image, but come on...that mask and all reeks anything but charisma! And I don't even criticize the actor like some do. I think he could handle CC's type of charisma. Just doesn't look right.

I think it looks more techno-organic and skull like than the battle armor helmet, but maybe that is the inspiration, who knows. Looking at the whole design though I'd say they just went their own way entirely.

I like the look it's not the Classic hood or helmet design but I agree they try to make fantasy "realistic" the whole making for everyone thing ruins things that aren't meant for everyone look at Dragonball! It's Emo Goko going through highschool drama!

Anywho, I don't hate the design as a whole, but not for the commander. He vaguely reminds me of Uber Jason's "special" brother.

Yeah. The thing about the featureless mask is it leaves more to the imagination, you can sort of put forth whatever horrible thing you want behind there - and his actions are then relied on more heavily to actually seem threatening than whatever his looks are
