because you shoot potatos out of it! And sure, you can shoot anything that'll fit snugly in the barrel. Most use potatos because of the ease of shapeing. Mine for instance, has sharpened edges around the outside of the barrel, so when i ram home the potato, it shaves off the excess creating a good seal (use potatos that are bigger than the barrel).

i have a potato launcher just like this one, but it isnt working. i know the spark goes off every time the combustion chamber is 4in diameter, 16in long. with a 2in wide, 4 foot long barrel

It flames when i take the end cap off. so im thinking its an oxygen problem. should i drill a small hole in the combustion chamber to let air in? or is the combustion chamber too large?

yea i finally got it to work. ill probably still cut the chamber down a bit, but what i do now is use static guard a few inches away til i see a nice amount of it coming back out of the chamber, then wait 1 second, put the cap on. then i shake the barrel around, then itll launch

head down to the hardware store U need some ABS piping get 1' of 6" piping and 4'of 2.5"(I think) piping u'll need appropriate adapters to connect the two pieces as well as abs glue u will also need 1 end cap with screw on lid After getting pieces for your actual cannon itself attach a simple bar-b-q igniter into the 6" chamber of your cannon For fuel many people enjoy hair spray but I find carb cleaner works the best Diagrams are much better but there are probably videos on here how to build
