I'm trying to find the original version of this song "Archie Buck Me Up" by Archie Thomas from St. Croix, Virgin Islands. It was reported to had been very popular in Trinidad in 1966 and subsequently banned.
Real nice..... Man this is a real oldie but the first time I ever hear a steelpan version of "Archie bru'k dem up".... And to think this same song was banned at one time by a number of the Caribbean governments..Mainly due to children changing the lyrics.
