  • I just realized... STO could make a series off of this!!!

  • I still love this. THis is what should have been...

  • Aye Aye Captain ! Make it so ! Warp Factor 3 !

  • ...You obviously are unfamiliar with actual ship/base capabilities but I found your video entertaining...

  • Watching this video, it makes me wish Constitution-class vessels had been employed in the 24th Century. If they were given a refit of weapons, engines, and bridge like in this video, they could easily keep up with ships like Galaxy, Sovereign, and Intrepid classes.

  • Saw this years ago, and it has always been canon as far as I am concerned.

  • Gotta say, this short is a total fangasm. Kirk should never have died, but idiots decided it would make a lame trek film, Shatner, pathetically, agreed to it.

Visit Kirk in films 1-5 and TOS, having him come back with Spock, holographic McCoy, Scotty, Picard, Tuvok, and Janeway cheering it on is dumb. It's not that I don't enjoy Kirk, but a movie in this fashion would surely suck. And sweet, because I made this comment 2 years after the reboot movie.

  • If only... 11 & 12 should have been this

  • They did bring back Kirk in that reboot... or does it have to be Shatner?

  • They really fucked up by not only killing off Kirk, but having him die in such a stupid way.

Seriously, the producers of this show had a hard on with killing people off - Tasha Yar, Jadzia, Gowron, Data.. the alternate universe in DS9 was just an orgy of killing off main characters.

  • I really enjoyed watching that, it was fun, And i can tell it must have been alot of work. Cool. Thanks!

  • Loved this! Love your enthusiasm! I always thought there should be more cooperation between casts... At least we can dream.

  • @BULLSHIT1173 It could have also used allot less Archer. Enterprise sucked.

  • @BULLSHIT1173 You got to remember, source material is limited. Not like we had Patrick Stewart in house recording dialogue for us. In a real movie obviously they would have much more to do.

  • @BBKUS No, I know, but how limited is the source material, really?

There are 7 years worth of show and four movies that you could have pulled from. I'm sure the crew from TNG could have been integrated into this incredibly epic Trek idea much more.

But it is an amazing concept none the less.

  • 1:14 klingon laptops ftw

  • Here's and idea: Ghostbusters 3: Bustin' In Space... The original Ghostbusters ride around on an Enterprise with Kirk and Spock (who come back from the future to seek them out -- due to their breaching the walls of the afterlife, and all the spirits escape) and wipe out ghosts on other planets! You could even work Beetlejuice into it somehow. Maybe even Doc Brown?

  • What and incredible mini movie! thank you for your hard work!

  • good shit right here.

  • The idea is fantastic, it really could make a movie with this, unfortunately we no longer have some original cast of TOS

  • The cool thing about this video is that its just ONE idea and there are PLENTY of talented fans out there that can make a cool accessable Trek story. I think the last film did it right. They went back to the begining and acknowledged what came before (Trek 1966-2005) while setting up a WHOLE new universe that ANYTHING can happen. I was SHOCKED when Vulcan was destroyed and Amanda died PLUS the romance between Uhura and Spock. Can you imagine what can happen? Q, Borg, Doomsday Machine, KHAN?

  • Kirk and sisko know thats what i'm talking about

  • Still the most fanwanky thing in the history of fanwanky things, but entertaining as all hell.

  • 4:44 was that Voyager?

  • @NightShadow1989 No. It was another ship of the same class. Voyager is shown a little later in the video under Chakotay's command.

  • check out star trek phase II series produced by james cawley. you will be impressed.

  • @edstrum We have. It's incredible. Plus, they're on record as showing Kirk alive post-Generations.

  • @BBKUS What episode is that in??? I want to see that for "peace of mind".

  • yay what a great video, was smiling the whole way through , thanks so much for that .

  • 0:28 My god... Spock has the Triforce, no wonder he was able to bring back Kirk. :D

  • bring back Kirk :D

  • Yes bring back Kirk

Bill shatner was riped from st XI

Now its bills turn to show up from startrek the return by bill shatner

    He has the right !"

And have it in memory to his freinds

    Jim dohan and defroest Kelly

    From rob olson

  • Maybe should go back and give Kirks Enterprise 1 firing phaser becuase no starship can fire phasers at the same time just a multi firering like on StarTrek:Nemisis. Because it looks so dump for a ship.

  • Not bad if it was a little higher rez.

  • @AD5DU Note that this clip was posted in 2006. This clip's resolution is typical of YouTube posts of that time. I would like to see BBKUS repost it in 480p resolution or better.

  • I read some place that a writer for Star Trek Novels had brought Kirk back Via the Borg who went and found his body where he was burried at the end of Star Trek Generations and then used their technology t bring him back alive... he then somehow breaks free of the brog and reunites with Spock, Bones and Scotty. Not sure the name of the books title...

  • @SirRembrant it is called The Return, written by William Shatner. It is a really good read. I've been through it 4 times now.

  • This incredibly good - a great homage to the finest Starfleet Captain of them all - James Tiberius Kirk. More please my friend - make it so?

  • The issues i have with this is that parts of all existing Star Trek series are in it! It looks just so... wrong. :/

  • hahaha, the nude people of mars get torpedoed. that was really good man, for being an independent work. it had continuity, and vision. congratulations!

  • @wilde1 Actually, they were just statues on Vulcan, but funny thought.

  • We need to bring Kirk back to teach those sci-fi general thugs such as Titan AE to stop their toxic vendetta against Lion King. Sci-fi general is JEALOUS of Lion King's overwhelming success worldwide because they fear that their genre will head into obscurity. Star Trek on the other hand is Lion King's only major sci-fi ally, and Kirk must stop thos militant Drej from destroying Earth in the FIRST PLACE and CANCEL the story of Titan AE forever! The toxic Titan AE is CANCELLED!

  • WOW, a total phenomenal mixture

  • We need Kirk Back to make those Star Wars thugs learn a lesson to stop bullying the ilk that both Star Trek and I belong to. Kirk will train my breed on how to stand up to Star Wars, and Star Wars is much stronger than Star Trek, my Project Orion II starship concept, and the rest of my ilk combined, but we will find a way to hand it down to SW. Look out Star Wars, you days of bullying my kind are NUMBERED because sooner or later, we shall rise up against and overthrow all that is Star Wars!

  • @MrOdyssey1999 That's easy. Get George Lucas to write another script. That is the unprotected exhaust port of the Star Wars franchise.

  • LOL Wow virtual Kirk is ALIVE! HE’S ALIVE! The universe can be saved!

Fuck! 8:12 The Enterprise has been hit!

    I like it!

  • @EmpireLS56KW Yeah but she stayed in the fight.

  • Ironically, I had more fun with this 9 minute video than with the entire Star Trek XI, but I still enjoyed that. Even though in hind sight it was more about having a new Star Trek Movie

  • This is actaully more about a "what if all important Fed-Captains were together at the same time in the same universe to go against a thread only they can stop" than a only "Bring back Kirk" related clip.

  • One of my favorite Fanfiction stories is based off of this.

  • At the end of the day we got spoiled in the 90's with all the series'. Alas it did start to feel as it had lost it's way. TNG in my view is by far the best of the bunch. DS9 was also great, along with Voyager was also very good. I feel that Enterprise was maybe the wrong way forward, or should I say back. Llike many others I had great hopes for it but I lost interest in it by the end of season 3. I now feel that I will start again and see it all through.

  • but spock's lost in an alternate timeline now... :(

    go mccoy with ur stroller!

  • Come back Capitan Kirk!

  • They don't believe in Janeway -_-;

  • An absolute gem ,capital ideas!

  • Imaging the BUDGET needed to bring in all those actors! (Shatner, Nimoy, Stewart, Frakes, Brooks, Mulgrew, Beltran, Russ, Bakula, Blalock, Fleck, and all the others.

Would be the most expensive movie in HISTORY!

...But I'd PAY to watch it........Paramount....MAKE IT SO!!!!

  • Jim Kirk is the very best

  • you can compare the star trek 2009 what ever you like. Its the best star trek BOLD like in the old days. Don`t stick in the past will the future is better.

  • Amen! Finally someone with creativity , I would kick out a stained glass window too see a full length production.

  • @67irishfire Wow what a way to put it!!

I feel the same way too but not literally of course.

What a fantastic movie it would be too.

'You would have done the same for me...'

  • This is StarTrek, nobody really dies. They just have to change time lines, anytime they want :P

  • Awesome...what a great idea..Star Trek is endless.....to boldly go where no one has gone before...forever and ever..

  • Rick Berman should never have killed off kirk

  • Actually the novel where Kirk was brought back was very good, and one of the bestselling Trek books of all time. And yes, the nexus is a viable way to get to Kirk, which is of course why we chose that in the trailer. :D

  • That would be a matter of opinion.

But still a Constitution Refit in the 24th century against a foe far more powerful then anything the Federation has seen is ridiculous.

That along with all the Captains coming together with a convulted plot of time travel and the likes makes for too many mistakes. If Kirk went back in time and picked up Catain Archer, then Archer would not be there to fulfill his destiny that aids the forming of the Federation as it is known. Thus, an alternate time line.

  • @BBKUS I always thought it was obvious to use the Nexus. It must be a residual energy from it is keeping Kirk alive somehow...

  • @BBKUS The problem is that its contrivances became more apparent as he brought himself back to life a total of FOUR TIMES in that book series. He dies, then finds another coincidental way to come back. He already had a tendency to write indulgently for his character (STV), but 3+ death scenes is just too narcissistic and contrived.

  • 5 Captains, 5 ships 5, timelines.

  • I ALSO WANT THE ORIGINAL KIRK-- (William Shatner) Back.. One more vote..... from a mexican trekkie.

  • Star Trek was a fave of mine since I was 5yrs old but not so much now. Roddenberry started the ruination of the franchise, and Berman and Braga drove Trek into the dirt with weak series', wooden characters, and a reliance on time travel as a plot device that even Doctor Who couldn't rival. The 2009 Trek movie should have been a totally fresh reboot and not a tie in to the normal stories: THAT'S where Abrams stumbled. Otherwise, the original series and the 2009 movie are all that matter anymore.

  • @arthurark

Oh please. The last film has so much story to work with now that it undid all of Star Trek history with the destruction of Vulcan.

  • I love Kirk/Shatner as much as anybody, but he's an old man now. The time is long past.

  • this video is a mixture of star trek final froniter , the deleted scene of star trek nemesis ,star trek first contact battle scene and the star trek enterprise the first adventure (Tos novel) and a little of the motion picture and star trek generations

  • now if jj didnt make the new star trek movie this one would be a great idea to make then jj coulda made the new startrek

  • id also like to note yea the hlographic doc of dr.mccoy is a great idea but with mr doohan gone how they gonna getthat in ythere to what they gonna do make a EEH

  • Um what?

  • Forgive me, I couldn't help but jump into an discussion mid stream but you mentioned that "nerdwank" was not in the Oxford English Dictionary hinting that it was not a word... I agree but just felt compelled to point out that the word "in" is not in there either and it IS a word. For that matter I am more than positive that "ribonucleic" is a word and is not in said dictionary either. Just had to point that out.

  • @Draft Interesting. The English Language isn't particularly controlled to the point where if "nerdwank" is used enough it will probably become part of our language.

Of course my comment was supposed to be humorous. :)

  • ...and it was taken as humorous as possible. However the fact is the English language is controlled to that point arguably often. No matter the spelling, "corsavorian" (spl*) was added to the english dictionary after the Corsavo (again spl*) conflict in the 90's. Its definition ran something like this, 'a group of people whom survived said conflict' ect ect more elaborate. I simply don't really mind.

I hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas!!!

  • The holographic McCoy was a great idea

  • hurray to free time

  • This is what Generations should have been. Well done. Would love to see this as a movie even if it had to be an animated/CGI film.

  • That was awesome, what did you use to make it?

  • Awesome video, they should have made this instead of the last film!

  • That was fun!

  • The new Star Trek's can never recapture the coolness of the original...or the excitement.....the new Star Trek stories and characterers suck. They should never have let Kirk die......bring him back !....oh cool video too

  • Unfortunately, this will not happen. first off now half the actors depicted in that trailer are now dead. as for Kirk, starfleet is still paying off his child support when the Enterprise-E launched.I am a fan of the series (nitpicking the new movie) but that era is over, done, history. we need to move forward, not keep bringing up the past like this. if you really want to contribute to the fandom in such a fashion, join or some forum based RP site. that way you can contribute in your own way.

  • Actually only Doohane and Kelly are dead the rest are still alive .

  • this video was made (and the one before it) years ago when the spin-offs where still on TV. the idea what that Kirk needed a better ending than the one he got at the ending of Generations (1994)

half the actors are dead? save two all the actors seen here are very much alive!

''that era is over'' i dont agree.

i like fan made trailers more than reading endless yakking on a forum :D

  • Wow, does that triangle symbol have to do with the legend of zelda? Guess i'm a newbie

  • Nicely done!

  • Amen to that! I got tingles watching this thing!

  • h01y_krap

  • How can something be so crap, yet so wonderful, at the same time...?

  • Because this was made with no budget by people who get it. If Paramount undertook a project like this, it would be phenomenal.

  • Part 1

The problem is that 'the people that get it' nearly ruined the entire franchise. Star Trek Generations through Nemesis were so poorly written and had HUGE plot holes. As much as JJ Abrams is bashed on for the new film, he revitalized the franchise by bringing Start Trek back to what it originally was...BOLD.

That is why Leonard Nimoy was even in the film. He didn't do Generations, because he flat out said the script sucked. This would be met with the same critisism.

  • Here's the thing--the people that ruined the franchise did NOT "get it." THAT was the problem. People like Rick Berman and Brannon Braga hated the original series. They didn't get it at all. They killed Kirk in the first place. If you want examples of people that get it, either watch the original series, or read one of the novels.

  • well , im glad that star trek 2009 has a sequel!

  • @BBKUS But Roddenberry HIRED Berman and Braga. He made them producers. I'll grant you they drove the franchise into the ground, but they were Roddenberry's chosen successors.

If you want to erase everything they did, you are only left with TOS and a few seasons of TNG. Funny, but your video has Archer, Janeway, Sisko...

You can't have it both ways: You can't attack Berman and Braga's take on Trek, then insist it be built upon. Which is it? Lose their influence or keep it?

  • Yeah, but the damage to the franchise happened after Roddenberry died. If GR was still in control, no way Berman and Braga do what they did.

No one is saying erase everything they did. Like it or not, it's canon. But that doesn't mean there wasn't a place for Kirk post-Generations.

  • @banglefaar Bold? When you mix a bunch of boring cliches with a bunch of boring faces from Merlose Place that's considered to be bold? News to me.

  • @sondano

    Oh, right....

Because taking the storyline of the worst Star Trek movie that even Leonard Nimoy rejected being in because he said the script was a piece of shit, and building on that with a whole lot of irrelevant time travel, a Constitution-Refit class ship IN the 24th century fighting... and probably an even bigger cliche of a story that insults any real Trekkies knowledge.

Melrose Place? Right, let's not do that. Let's go to the retirement home and graveyard instead. Idiot.

  • While I respect the effort you put into this and think that bringing back Kirk is a viable thread for a film, I don't think it's feasible that producers would create a film that links so many different star trek series together and include so many cameos. I think while this would suit fans, producers would desire to create a film that appeals to an audience beyond Star Trek's fan base. I hope my comment is not down-ranked and censored because others do not wish to hear anything mildly negative.

  • i want to see this movie:P

  • the star trek movie that should be made

  • The Star Trek movie that would ensure the final nail in the franchise' casket.

  • abrams may have already done just that. Star trek started dying the day Roddenbury bit the dust. It has survived thus far as a despirate attempt by paramount to milk the cash cow dry rather than to actually create something entirely new yet entirely true to roddenbury's vision for the show. Why is it that after his death, the next two spin offs were stuck in the tng era with settings other than a ship named "enterprise"?

  • Maybe to show that the Starfleet had more heroes to offer serving on other ships than JUST the Enterprise? Hell, between the Enterprise-C and D, there were 20 Enterprise-less years, somebody musta filled that gap - the rest of the fleet, obviously.

  • ahem, enterprise was pre TNG and neither voyager or DSN were set in the tipe period between C and D. DUH!

  • My point was that you were saying that Star Trek can only be great with an USS Enterprise, basically. To me, these other series (Enterprise to a lesser extend) managed to prove wrong - Voyager and DS9 were just as wonderful even without a regularily appearing USS Enteprise.

  • My main point was that their biggest mistake since TNG was staying in the TNG era too long. Voyager didn't need to be in the 24th century, and to me even though it was a decent show that I enjoyed it would have been far more interesting if it were set in the 25th or 26th century. After 21 seasons of TNG era shows, 3 of Enterprise, I am really hungry for a 3rd gen series that is set on the Enterprise (F or J) and focuses on being good sci fi more than on being a good action series.

  • Pine is fine but the SHAT is where it's AT!!!

  • @snakeoil62 The Shat is back at it! Shooting bad guys with phasers and photon torpedoes.

  • Corny but awesome!

  • VERY GOOD!!!BRING KIRK BACK with this storyline. KIRK SAVES THE UNIVERSE!! (AGAIN)

  • There is only 1 captin KIRK

  • You can almost hear the sound of fans wanking to think.

  • Did all the dialogue come from existing sources? If so, given the 40+ years of episodes, videos, video games, audiobooks, etc. that feature the voices of the characters, you might have enough audio material there to cobble together an entire animated series!

  • Whether they bring back Kirk or not. Star Trek is still the best.

  • simply breath taking

  • BRING BACK CAPT KIRK!!!

  • Amazing work. I WANT NEW SERIES... NOW! ^_^

  • There's no need to bring back Kirk. William Shatner already did that by writing his novels. :-)

  • HA! It's funny because it's true. lol

  • Novels are not considerd 'cannon', though.

  • Why not? You can consider everything as canon if you want.

  • WTF?!

ooki TBH i were never fan of the entire time travel thing.... as for the logic should not be Riker at NCC titan?

  • There might be a language barrier here, but if you are asking if Riker is the captain of the Titan, the answer is yes. If you notice, he IS on the Titan.

  • I did not noticed Titan (wich should be Nova class if memory serves) i think i assumed that there are only enterprizes.... in this vid.

  • 7:20 - Must have been one hell of a torpedo, to blow through the Miranda class ship like that.

  • Big battle. At that point, their shields could have been down.

  • how about every series ship poping up

  • Impressive!! Great effort and creativity with the head compositing.

  • I love the heads stuck on the bodies in the new uniforms, that's some good TOS-like shit right there! Makes me feel like Kirk should really be there.

  • you kids should really read shatners books lol oh boy

  • Agreed. Very good shatner-verse continuation for Kirk there.

  • Oop! Using the guardian of time will get you sued by Harlan Ellison!!! ;-)

I think it's pretty cool that you foresaw the re-birth of Kirk and destruction of Vulcan... I mean, Kirk is back now, and Vulcan is gone...

Can you imagine them making a movie like this? With every captain and members of every crew coming together, to fight one ultimate threat? What a fucking trilogy that would make!! IDW - MAKE THAT COMIC! Cause Paramount'll never make the movie =(

  • Wohoooo...my star trek is back. wohoo..............(even though for a short time!

  • Not at all! But while an EMH is standard on a 24th century ship (even a refitted one), I don't think it's so hard to imagine that Kirk would order a different setting than the default. :D

  • id love to know william shatners thoughts on this?

    its amazing

  • I support your movement! Amazing animation btw!

  • Oh man! Now that would have been a movie!. And to think you did it over 3 years ago makes it even better.

  • I agree this would of make a better Star Trek movie if they want to bring it back...

Have all the living crew members from all five tv shows in one big three hour movie would rock...

  • Comment removed

  • No? See how they got both Nimoy and Quinto in the new film, playing spock? See? See?

No reason Shatner cant play Kirk again.

And besides, there is no reason what-so-ever that we cant get new TNG movies either, and in that timeline, he's still in the nexus - fine and dandy.

  • Kudos on your trailer. Considering what you had to work with, you did a great job. A Shatner Kirk movie is definitely what I'd pay to see, plus with all of the captains fignting side by side.

  • Kirk was the best captian, he was nast and calous FOR EARTH. Bring him back. Goodness sake everyone knows it would be HUGH

  • i need a poop.....and i think jj abrams has a lawsuit on his hands, cause he just stole your idea...and changed it up a bit...

  • Brilliant idea! Too bad most of the CGI is so very poor...

  • So I must know...why did they kill off Captain Kirk so poorly? Falling off a fucking bridge?! Is it because of that Saturday night live sketch where Shatner was making fun of the Trekkie nerds? Which by the way is the funniest sketch SNL ever did...Is Paramont pictures mad at Shatner for some reason?

  • Whoever took the time and effort to create this - thank you. It doesn't matter if the cgi isn't up to the quality of a film. You convey emotion brilliantly, that more than makes up for it. "SPOCK!"

  • Well that was fun!

Thanks for this keep them coming!

  • this is very good stuff

  • The way they brought Kirk back makes no logical sense

Kirk can't be in the Nexus cause he left it with Picard years before

Why not just travel back in time to Veridian III, minutes before Soran launched the star, stop Soran and prevent Kirk's death

  • It was playing off of what was done with Guinan...she left an echo of herself when the Enterprise B saved her, so it's believed the same thing happened with Kirk

  • know whats funny? Soran was in the nexus the hole movie!

  • You know, that is an interesting thought. How they explained Guinan being in the nexas, but yet she was also in the present time line as well.

If they can explain it in that manner, than certainly Kirk could also be explained that he was "mirrored" in the nexas when it took him from Enterprise-B? And that it was the mirrored Kirk that was on Veridian III?

I hope Abrahms will have Mr. Shatner in the next (yes) Star Trek movie. I mean, really...

    BBK!

  • they will include shatner in the next movie.

  • fuck pine! SHATNER RULES. BRING HIM BACK!

  • This is what the new movie should be the best ove everything all on the big screen

  • yeah i drop by from time to time. :)

    i was thinking.

why would i want to see a movie where we see a hero (Pine) and we already know how he dies?

oh and another thing, if this movies explanation of the alternate history (including Chekov's age apparently) is time travel, doesnt that mean everything we saw from Tos until Nemesis never happened?

whats the big deal then to not have Shatner in it?

its a different timeline after all.

and 20 years from now we will have robot Shatners! :)

  • 20 years from now no one will remember the actor who played kirk

but they will remember the character

  • 4:42 the end of Voyager? Good ridance..

  • Comment removed

  • Shit , that was good!!! Kirk was always my favourite Star Trek captain and always will be. The Original series was by far the best , so I agree wholeheartedly...Bring Back Kirk!!!!

  • Ummmm. Wow! That was well done and I love it.

  • talk about fiddling with time. that would cause soo many paradoxy's

  • I think the better way to bring back Kirk is for Spock to travel back in time to the exact time and place on Veridian III when Kirk and Picard was when they left the Nexus and Spock kills Soran and prevents Kirk from dying, therefore the timeline is changed and Kirk is still alive and the timeline probably wouldn't be altered much cause as far as we know, Picard never told anyone of Kirk's death on Veridian III

  • Bravo- very creative thinking!! Also, job well done on the various CGI effects- I agree that Kirk would bring back a whole lot of ass-kicking to the Star Trek Universe.

  • Well, I guess they did bring back Kirk afterall... Keep fingers crossed for JJA Star Trek 2009. Trailers look pretty spectacular.

  • 6:28

    -come back!

    -i can´t go back

    -we don´t have a choise!!

-ok, i won´t let you down!!!

    wtf is this?? xD

  • wtf is this??

Well you have to put in something

  • please, i know kirk was the original captain and all that, and im sure you cried when he died, but we dont want a throw-back, with an old crew. Nobody wants to watch a cast with the average age of 70, not to mention the fact that half the original actors are now dead. People want fresh, young actors, and new ideas, its just not realistic.

  • They put Nimoy in the current film.

  • Yeah but only him because of the story line that involves time travel. It should be re done for a fresh take of actors and see what someone else can do to bring back the franchise.
