Hannity, bombast though he may be, had a good point--it's reasonable for journalists to interview extremists, and that's not the same as implicitly supporting them. Is sitting on the same charitable board an act of implicit support? No, and Gibbs should have said so. Gibbs didn't own Hannity at all here. Was that Alan Colmes who showed up in the latter half? Now *he* was sensible.

Hannity is a typical news reporter who interviews a many variety of different people, to give the public a perspective of popular figures. That is what news is, that is his job. He doesn't work with or associate with, the people he interviews he just simply interviews.
Now the question is why is Obama associated, working with, and friendly with Bill Ayers???
Obama is not in the media like Hannity is interviewing him. So what was Obama's purpose for his assotion with Ayers?

Does that mean that Reagan's former education secretary should be considered dangerous because he allowed Ayers to be on the board and associated with him?

Obama's association with Bill Ayers stems from the two of them sitting on an education foundation board together in Chicago. That's it. Hannity, bombast though he may be, had a good point--it's reasonable for journalists to interview extremists, and that's not the same as implicitly supporting them. Is sitting on the same charitable board an act of implicit support? No, and Gibbs should have said so. Gibbs didn't own Hannity at all here. Was that Alan Colmes who showed up in the latter half? Now *he* was sensible.
