Love the way he quavers the word 'hope' into 3:22 ... hauntingly beautiful and this song is very emotive no matter the version. Top 3 best on the album, in my opinion.
i would never count out any faction of a mike patton reunification . who wouldn't want to go back out and play live one more summer with that fella. i would be willing to anticipate a new FNM album within the next 8 months, if not at least a tour this summer. you heard it here first
ill really wondering what happen to mike's voice after the real thing! after the album angel was released he always had a hard time singing songs from the real thing!
@boygalak He gets better after "the real thing" album, he used falsette and nasal vocals back then (shitty). He is trying to sing the same song with normal voice here.
@boygalak lol. Just kidding around. When asked in interview about his voice changing he said I guess I finally went through puberty or something to that effect.
@mrbunghole that voice is the bungle voice thats why if a reunion is possible now that he is 42 he will sing bungle song differently i wish they did some bungle songs during that fnm reunion!
@boygalak Well, they only did one record with bungle where he sang like that, as well. If bungle did get back together, which I'm sure they wouldn't (lot of bad blood)... They would probably just do stuff from DV and California.
@mrbunghole c'mon, he uses that high pitch voice in most of the bungle songs during their demos! heard of ou818 ? yeah right just crazy enough to wish that fnm would play their songs just for fun !
@boygalak Definitely one of my favorite singers. He opened a lot of musical doors that were shut previously for me. Taught me a lot about music. Just a really great inspiration.
@mrbunghole yeah me too, the hardest part about it is he didnt recieve much credit he deserves! but for the listeners he sure is god ! cant imagine how much talent he had
This was their last show with Jim? No wonder Mike didn't release Disco Volante and King For A Day for another two years, I think he'd need two years for his vocal chords to recover after this show.
@Vypyr05 Well, I know that :D But this is just brutal. I was lucky enough to see them at Coachella, I flew down from British Columbia, absolutely had to.
@fernetpunker In no particular order: Cuckoo For Caca The Real Thing Ashes To Ashes Kindergarten Everything's Ruined Ugly In The Morning What A Day From Out Of Nowhere Zombie Eaters Falling To Pieces Got That Feeling She Loves Me Not Paths Of Glory Pristina A Small Victory Caffeine RV Take This Bottle Evidence and plenty of other ones that I can't list at the moment
I'm a huge Tool fan. I want to get into Faith No More, but I don't want to waste my money on buying any albums that may or may not be as good as war pigs and this song right here. Are there any hardcore Faith no more fans than can tell me their 10 favorite Faith No More songs? If you have more than that, that's fine too, I'm just trying to put their best songs on a badass CD, and I don't really trust "Greatest Hits" CDs, I trust fans. Help me out??????????????????????????????????????????????
@Minacious Listen to their various songs on Youtube. Make up your own mind and enjoy! I'm a hardcore fan but I doubt the guy next to me would have the same favs.
@Minacious EVERY FNM Song (almost)! - All albums are (almost) completely different, but at the same time, there's "a red thread" (thru every album) that leads to the very same unique original "one of a kind" sound/style...it's simply Faith No More!! - Although, Angel Dust is my personal favorite!
murphy i gotta agree with the not waiting on jim he really did give jim a hard time and jim was the won who found mike and made him what he is today if JIM hadnt hired him for fnm mike might have not been anything anyway
mike fucks around more than Jim waits them wait. alright mike gots pitch, but you need at least 10 seconds to tune a guitar. little guy mike making fun of Jim's badass gawky stature, what a dick!
why does everyone say underrated?? far from it. this tune live once!! are you mad,not heard brixton live then?? at there peak here man, then again i had 4 pills when i watched this, fucking mental, caffine was the fucker though, hard man
Classic. Don't overlook the Chuck Mosely stuff though. The first album is a complete classic, tracks like 'New beginnings' and 'Mark Bowen' are some of their best ever. Patton took them another way and I do believe he's a musical genius, but make sure you get that album if you don't have it!
what are we waitin FOR

@yovioleatuzorramadre its not that he uses low tones after the real thing, he never sang like the real thing and early bungle after 1992

@boygalak It's calling "GROWING UP" you cocksucker. He was pretty young when he made the real thing. Or as he puts it, "puberty".
