This project is greatly helped by the effective use of sound effects. The graphics don't get in the way of the gameplay and it looks like a solid enough engine! Well done. Perhaps you could cause more foxes to be spawned until the player is killed, meaning that the highscore table is more relevant.
Congratulations on sticking with the project. Finish this as soon as possible (If you haven't already!) and move on to the next project. It's great to have a finished game under your belt.
