Miata mountain madness

I have owned a Trans Am, a Camaro, 2 Mustang GTs, and even a Corvette. I have had my Miata for 4 years and nothing I have ever owned compares to the feeling when I'm driving it. It has a few mods to make it a little quicker but not much. I LOVE MY CAR!!!

The last time I saw a Miata club convoy driving down the highway I couldn't stop laughing until I got home. All the "guy's" driving the cars were trying to look all hard core behind the wheel! LOL! The only one that looked right in the car was one woman.

What a great event. We put over 8500 miles on my Miata driving from San Clemente to attend. With stops at The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, Henry Ford Museum, The Martin Guitar factory and much more along the way it was one of the best excuses to see the USA. Once I participated in the hot laps on the track I was hooked on track days for good. We still have the marriage certificate from the ceremony Rev Jim performed. Easily the best Miata event ever.

@Bmwdonny be honest-- have you ever been in either the driver or passenger seat of a Miata, top down, whilst blasting down a twisty back road? If you haven't, then reserve judgment until you have. Because from what I have experienced, it is one of life's greatest pleasures. Doesn't matter how much horsepower it has, the joy lies in the fact that you can chuck it into a turn and not come out backwards and on fire if you didn't intend to, and making it go where you want to is almost all thought.

I just finished the turbo and suspension build in my miata and it does feel like it will kill my s2000. I think it does, but just 'cause its stock and I want to keep it that way. I am no pro but I think a turbo S2000 would kill any miata on a track...

i would not bet on it. s2ks are alright, but they don't have as much potential as a miata because of their weight.

I missed it -- didn't get my '00 Miata 'till '02. Been on a lot of Del-Val and LVMOC runs over the years, though. ;-) I did the newsletter for Del-Val for a year or so -- a couple years back. . . Did a run for LVMOC last year. My Miata is going on 9 years old -- still having a blast with it!

Bowerso: see if you can find the first Miata commercial from 1990; it is not on the Internet. That would be a real find! :-)
