  • I think that schools should start teaching about STDs in middle school because that is when children are beginning to have sexual intercourse.

  • Very informative. There were a lot of these facts of which I was not aware. 1. Yes, it did surprise me. 2. Yes. 3. This infomation would make me more likely to teach kids about STD's. 4. N/A 5. Are STD's more common in the US than in other countries?

  • 1. no 2. yes some 3.n/a 4. n/a 5. It would be interesting to see if AIDS and other STDs have changed in teenagers over the last 10 or 20 years.

  • It did suprise me to learn that STDs are so common, I mean I knew they were common however the information you provided was very educational. I am a parent, but my children are not old enough to learn about these things, but I would definitely teach them when they are old enough, this would persuade me to teach them.

  • This was very informative. I wasn't as shocked with the stats because of research I have done but I did learn some new things regarding STD. I know I will talk to my kids about STD's and abstinence. No questions

  • Good info. 1 yes, 2 yes, 3 even more likely, 4 n/a, 5 what are the early warning signs that your teen is considering sexual activity? Some pictures would be good to break up the text.

  • Very interesting! 1.yes 2.yes 3.yes 4.n/a 5.if s/s, what are they?

  • Good slide show Lisa!! 1.) Yes i had noclue that they were that common. 2.) That 20% of 8th graders have had sex. 3.) More likely to teach them. 4.) Yes 5.) Different kinds of treatment.

  • Good job! As a mother or two and a nurse, I found some of the statistics shocking. I have always said I will talk to them and hand them condoms!!

  • Good information, I found it very educational & I will let my kids see your broadcast. I have two boys who are 11 and 13yrs old. My husband & I have already talked with the boys about safe sex! We want to help protect them from STDs. We are very open about this subject & we have shown them pictures and given them pamphlets to read about STDs.

  • 1. No 2. No 3. getting ready to have that little talk already 4.n/a 5.don't know.

would be very informative for teenagers. good info that is straighforward and to the point.

  • I found this article very informative and I learned things that I was not aware of. I have two teenage granddaughters and I will make sure that their parents read this article. Education is the key to bringing stds under control.
