Everything in the video was so clear until the end - where vahchef says.. remove it from the stove when there is a change of color - did anyone notice a clear change of color (the point at which you switch off the stove and pour the mix into the tray?) I wasnt entirely sure when that change of color clearly occured.. I tried this now and waiting for 10 mins to cool down... but am afraid If i took it out too soon! Fingers crossed
You are Amazing chef, you know I alawys wondered how can I get the holes in the Mysore pak, now I have learnt it so well from you. I like your technique in mixing. in my country we add sesame paste with nuts in the bottom of the tray after we pour the mixture on a tray we put it in the oven to get a crispy surface.
Hi Sanjay!..i tried making it with the proportions listed on VahreVah. i seems like there is too much of ghee floating on top of the pan, while trying to set....any suggestions as to why?
No this not the kind of mysore pak who every1 craves for. This type of mysore pak is mostly sold in villages. go to big shops in bangalore or mysore. It has to be very soft.
Wah chef u r really great...i remember the mysore pak made by my Granny she was a specialist in making it...hope I also would become an expert following u..thanks for all ur videos...all girls staying in US who have never learnt cooking are ur fans as u inspire us a lot........THANKS A TONN
@rkubarych Yes you can make ghee with butter.Just heat the butter slowly...when you see the browny material settled on the bottom of the pan, just strain it.Your clarified butter=ghee is ready .Good luck!
I love to watch your videos but I did not quiet get the last part. You poured the mixture of mysore pak in the tray. And directly after that you showed few pieces of Mysore pak..looks great. But I don't think your tray was that deep filled that you can make those pieces that long that was showed at last. I would rather love to see you cut pieces and place on the tray since it don't make sense to see magic!
Hi,,,,,,,,,,,,i have tried many of ur recipies...n i find m doin well with u...but in some of ur recipies u dnt show....how much the quantities of ingredients v hav to use...pls..evn in mysore pak u hav not mentioned about it..
Thank you for the receipe. Just wanted to know whether besan flour and channa flour are one and the same. Today I tried with channa flour which dint come out well.
i was thinking to make it from long time, tried today but dint come out well as said by you chef,it came out as barfi.tasted good but without pores, have to try again. it would be real helpfull if you can give correct measurments,i took these quantities:
Excellent video, When I was a kid, I make mysore pak helping my mom, but as you said, we need chisel and hammer to break the mysore pak, that much tough. After wasting hundreds of kilos of sugar and besan, atlast we learnt. The same way how you explained. You are brilliant.
My husband and I tried your technique of making Mysore Pak. It came out good and we are enjoying. However, there were no quantities mentioned in your recipe. We got the quantities from another site. But, we couldn't have made our Mysore Pak without your directions.
Also, we have tried your dal Makhani. It came out very good.
i love your cooking but can't made it because none measuring amount, plus most of us are not the expert so we have to learn from you, so please put the measuring on for us, well if you can change from the old recipes that post on for a long long time ago too, please, please, pity please, thank you so very much, i'm from us..

Hello Vah Chef... The authentic Mysore Pak requires a teaspoon of Turmeric and Cardomom Powder . This would help in bringing out a bright color and flavor
I have been to Mysore and seen the process of making pak . Turmeric and cardmom is added before adding besan, well it depends on how much you really add!

Hello Tried to make the delicious dish n it was damm good. But Sanjay it cld had been better if u cld had given what proportions to take it was not clear at all.
Hey i made this after watching your video....though my hands got burnt due to hot oil....i succeded with a nice mysore pak....thanks a lot..Sanjay you rock the floor!!!!
THis is one of my alltime fav sweets.. Didn't dare to try making it until I saw ur video.... I made it last week.. My hubby finished all of it in one day... love all your recipes and the way u cook, with so much of passion..keep them coming Sanjay
thanks a lot and i started admiring your cooking so much that i've become so much craze in watching your videos and trying out different things..my husband started liking my different way of cooking and asked me to say thanks to you..
i tried mysorepak after seeing vah chef.each and every step is so well explained, the mysorepak i made came out the same way shown in there, thanks a lot,i'll definately try other items one after the other.
Chef, it will be great if you tell us roughly the amount of flour, sugar etc to use. You say that the sugar should not be too much or too less. So it will be good, if you tell us the approx qty. Thanks.
GOD BLESS U CHEF!!! i made it!!! except that i went wrong in estimating the right size of a mould, so it went flat. But who cares 4 the shape...when the taste is soooooooo divine..hmmmm i never even dreamt that i will make a mysore pak with my own hands and that i will get this much inspiration to try it out n enjoy being in US :-)
Oh wow! Your recipes are so inspiring. I think the toughest sweet to make is son papdi; in fact I'd love to know if you are familiar with it and know how to make it.
Hey dear chef ,i have made this sweat dish as i saw ur recipy but dont know why my maysur pak is not as urs,it dosent get brown in color though i followed ur instructions also it was not little bit crispy. Can u help me?

His website has the correct proportions. Briefly, you need 2 cups sugar, 1.5 cup besan (gram flour), 2 cups ghee, 1/2 cup water.

Chef, it will be great if you tell us roughly the amount of flour, sugar etc to use. You say that the sugar should not be too much or too less. So it will be good, if you tell us the approx qty. Thanks.
