The American public overwhelmingly supports universal healthcare.We don't have it because Republicans don't want it and Democrats are too spineless to stand up to republicans. That is why Obama bows and grovels before republicans and removed the public option from the healthcare bill. This despite the fact that they had a super-majority in both houses of congress.

Buy your own insurance better yet buy your own healthcare and stop relying on insurance and your employer to pay your way. " I work three jobs and be damned if I'm going to pay one red cent to help my neighbor when he gets sick." Where I live, overall, we pay much less per person for healthcare than Americans do. Also, the average person in British Columbia lives three years longer than that of our neighbors in Washington State.
