This is matthew 19:21, there's no reason christians shouldn't follow this verse by selling their possesions to the poor because that is what the scripture states. I suppose there is also a calvinistic explanation for this verse, as calvinists do not really need to obey the scriptures they are given, because they are chosen ones.
The truth of God's word isn't so simple and pure when it tells you to let someone slap you on the other cheek; after all, a registered gun owner doesn't need a verse like that deterring them from practicing their second ammendment rights so that they can defend their home and family. Guess you're just a human being like everyone else, and not some special chosen one, hate to break it to ya.

I believe the Old Testament is the word of God. Everything in it took place. But it is about an age that has now past. We are now in the Church age.

I can't believe millions of people believed that crap. If they are truly studying the bible, then they would know that NO ONE (NOT EVEN JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF) knows the day nor the hour. I wish there was someone that could tell me why they would even think a formula can be computed by a simple minded human to figure out something that not even Jesus Christ knows. Really? There is nothing revealed in Christianity that can be found in other religious traditions. I believe the Old Testament is the word of God. Everything in it took place. But it is about an age that has now past. We are now in the Church age.

I also pointed out that biologically it is not natural. Male and female sex organs are built for sexual relations with the opposite sex, not the same sex. The man produces sperm and the woman produces ovum. The Bible says that God created men and women to be in union with each other. That's His created order and the reason why homosexual "unions" are wrong. Race and homosexuality are not the same thing.

Yet another way would have been to use private messages to send me your evidence - or should I say "evidence"?
