  • @JohnnyJohnW fag

  • its all true !!!!!!!! helllllllllllllllllllp!

  • @supr75 Eh, don't feel too bad. I mean, look at the Sea's track record in general. Millions of people dead, including over 200,000 just in the Indian Ocean tsunami in '04. So far, the Sea in general is far more destructive than Cthulhu, so I'd worry about that. (Sea level rising, taking us all with it.)

Sea: Millions. Cthulhu: (So far) Zero.

C'thulhu gotta lotta catchin' up to do, eh?

  • Reserve sanity for when you need it... in the mean time Go mad

  • Dec. 21 2010 Lunar Eclipse tonight upon the winter solstice.

The Stars are right for R'lyeh to rise & Cthulhu's return. #LOL

  • @Eddythebeast666 i dont see any deep ones walking on the street. sorry bro, next year maybe :D

  • @HalBDeU Try looking at the dudes running Wall street.

  • @Eddythebeast666 hahaha XD seriously I think we dont know anything about ur real world, who knows, maybe there is a real Cthulhu sleeping in R'lyeh ;)

  • @HalBDeU Right now I'd be more surprised by the world suddenly becoming sane but hey at least it's entertaining. Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn

  • @Eddythebeast666 may the great one rise to devour all that is is...all that was..and all that will be

  • @Flameingchaos Eyo, everything's gonna be devoured by *something*, may as well be Cthulhu. at least it would make for some great video for the Shoggoths to watch later.

  • @Eddythebeast666 Sanity is a lie. Insanity is the true path to happiness. As Prince said, "Let's Go Crazy!"

  • @HalBDeU Yep. As the great metaphysician Dr. Seuss once said, "You never can tell what goes on down below..." ;)

  • @SheSaysSoIndeed I would really like that something like the Call of Cthulhu world really exists, life is nowadays really boring, nothing misterious, nothin paranormal... :_(

but... who knows, like you said, we have only explored the... 10%? of the seas, so let the imagination fly ^^

  • @HalBDeU Well, in some sense, that world (in nature) does. The difference is, it doesn't know it's doing so...(but then again, does Cthulhu know he's destroying humanity? maybe he doesn't even know either).

Seriously, have you seen the huge tube worms and such that live near underwater thermal vents miles below the sea? They make their food by chemo-synthesis, not photosynthesis, they can't see, and they rival science fiction. Also check out the BBC videos about underwater cave diving. Ia!

  • 36 people saw cthulhu and are insane enough to dislike this video

  • song name???

  • @doommaster66 Name: The Call Of Ktulu Band: Metallica Album: Ride The Lightning

  • 1:47 thats a nightgaunt

    1:50 thats the black pharaoh

  • I like this Cthulhu video it is one of the best.

  • what book in the pictures? the black and white one.

  • It, among with other horrific creatures from the cthulhu mythology is a monster that came to H.P. Lovecrafts dreams, which Lovecraft then put into his short stories...So in a way, even if there is no proof of they're excistence, they're is no proof that they don't excist...

  • @AJ2987

The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.

  • @kikon901 huh!?

  • @AJ2987

Just because you don't have evidence that something does exist doesn't mean you have evidence that something does not exist. That is essentially what you are saying.

  • @AJ2987

Just because you don't have evidence that something does exist doesn't mean you have evidence that something does not exist. That is essentially what you are saying.

  • i just dont get it.

its a sweeet video, nicely catches the essence of the mythos :)

  • This music is beautiful. What is it?

  • Pazuzu, as an earlier person said, has absolutely sod all to do with The Cthulhu Mythos, BUT it's always interesting when someone weaves such deity's into the fabric of their tales. More of it, of quality, would be welcome. More Cthulhu Mythos stuff would be even better!!!

  • I AM the God of Gods

I AM the Lord of Darkness, and Master of Magicians

  • BurianAttila - AFIK - Dunno; Pazuzu is a demon in Sumerian Mythology - good source for user-names etc.

  • I have a question: What does "IA" mean? In mesopotamian

    As in "IA IA PAZUZU!"

(I thought it may have something to do with the Cthulhu mythos, since it's the same word, but maybe it doesn't mean the same thing)

  • Maybe Enochian, if you're into the Occult etc. "IA" has many meanings...

  • Like?

  • From the dictionary i have it means give power, give power, give power Pazuzu. However in the sumerian alphabet i have at home ia is linke to other words that means something entirely different. Pazuzu is a nasty sumerian demon, Look it up and see what you can find

  • Well i think the first one is what I'm looking for :D

And yeah, i know about Pazuzu

  • Happy to be some help word of advice develope thick skin when dealing with sumerian alphabet and other words they have take it from me it will frustrate you sometimes, take care and holla back if you need help on anything

  • Ia Ia, Cthulhu Fthagn!

  • ive been seeing alot of "cthulhu" stuff around and i am just wondering whats the big hype about. whats so kool about Tulu, Clulu, Clooloo, Cthulu, Cighulu, Cathulu, Kutulu, Qthulu, Ktulu, Kthulhut, Kulhu, Thu Thu, whatever his name is.

  • Yes;)

  • @troyontime read lovecraft then you'll now what the big deal is.

    IA! IA!

  • @troyontime well if ure intrested in alien in getting jumpy and scared well cthulu is the guy for u and HP Lovecrafts books are also very good i mean just think of a huge bieng living under a sea in a dead city and when the stars are right he will emerge and kill us all slowly in a eternal pain of non stopping woes it justs freaks me up :D

  • @troyontime Read Lovecraft's Cthulhu books and you'll see the awesomeness.

  • @troyontime Your eyes are open just now Cthulhu has been around before man.

  • @troyontime have you never heard of H.P. Lovecraft???

the call of Cthulhu was one of his most widely known works!!

  • @troyontime LMAO!!!!

Get an HP Lovecraft short story book and read some of them they are actually really amazing, once you read one you will understand how mystical it is

  • @troyontime He was one of the first of his type is a lot of it I think...before Lovecraft most monsters were built around old standards, vampires, ghouls, ghosts, goblins and so on...the hero would generally enter, fight the monster, win the day and everything would end up happy...Cthulhu and other Lovecraft works yank that out of the picture, the monsters are wholly and utterly unknowable and alien...and above all, there's no light at the end, almost always the protagonist loses, or goes mad.

  • @troyontime Cuz the stories are awesome

  • spoken

    KUTHOOLHOO

  • don't you mean koo-thoo-loo?

  • It's an alien tongue. Get used to it.

  • Oddly enough that comment seems pornographic... almost tongue in cheek;)

  • O R'YLEH ?

  • Beautiful!

  • YAH, R'YLEH.

  • @shakmooll YA, R'LYEH

  • Hoorah! "We that should not be etc...". Splendid stuff.

  • jaja Insane Cancer! lol

  • This music, from silent hill 2?

  • It's the call of ktulu by metallica nub

  • cthulhu man. not ktulu

  • Actually, the song is called The Call of Ktulu, and HPL himself said there are multiple ways to spell it. If you're going to correct someone, please know what you're talking about.

  • Lovecraft originally suggested that cthulhu be pronounced klu-tlu-tlu

  • And that there are several different ways to spell it (Including but not limited to Kutulu, Cthulhu, Ktulu.)

  • It's been suggested that the human mouth is unable to form the correct shape in order to speak cthulhu's true name.

  • Correct.

So now we can never summon him :O

  • But the Cult can. ;D

  • But they have odd tongues.

In that they worship him and such they change themselves.

Maybe not, but that's what I learnt from Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of The Earth (Horror game by Bethesda, neato.) in which there's a cult of Dagon that mostly worships Dagon and Hydra.

The citizens in the town of Innsmouth (Where the cult is) slowly turn into fishmen there, so their eyes and tongue seem abit bigger than they should be, so they speak with a constant lisp.

  • Yeah, but the tainted people from Innsmouth aren't the ones who summon Cthulhu, at least it was never mentioned anywhere, they worship Cthulhu, but they concentrate more on the Deep One Gods like Father Dagon and Mother Hydra, thus "Cult of Dagon". But there's other Cults like the one in the Swamps in Louisiana, or the Cultists on the heavily armed Yacht "Alert", who seem to know how to spell the Name, 'cause R'lyeh rises soon after some Rituals and strange events. Read "The Call of Cthulhu" !

  • I'll try to do that sometime :/

  • "Drain you of your sanity; face the thing that should not be!"

  • nice vid man

  • best cthulhu montoge ive ever seen

  • you know i had a few insults in my pocket for all of you who are hating on metallica's new album...but judging by the way most of you spell, or hell even form cogent thoughts...my insults would just be compliments so in the words of teddy roosevelt...FUCK OFF!

  • Basically, Metallica are shit now. Sad But True!

    Lovecraft is timeless, though!

  • The video is hypnotic. Great work!!! Excellent choice for the music.

  • you know...this is a perfect example of what metallica WAS. Their stuff today holds no light to what they use to be. They had a drive back then that got extinguished with age. The fire just died. There is no way they can reproduce this type of stuff: it would be too contrived. Gonna go download their discography...something i've avoided till now. fuck lars.

  • Metallica are now shit, so I have no compumption about stealing their albumns. I paid for all the good'uns in the past, on vynil, CD etc. Make some decent music, & I might pay for the physical product in future. Death Magnetic sucks!

  • So basically the scary thing about Cthulu is he has no respect for copyrights for images or music.

  • No. The scary thing about Cthulhu is that he appreciates diversity and people's presumptions. He laughs when people portray him a certain way because how could they possibly know anything about him when anyone who has ever seen him has either went insane or died immediately. Dread Cthulhu cares not about the insignificant, unsubstantial, inconsequential, petty worries of copyright infringement. He enjoys mankinds misperceptions and finds great comedy in the things man thinks are important.

  • 6:44 lol

  • ALL HALE CTHULHU!!!... I pray for the day we he eats my soul...

  • AMEN

  • hes a little late for mine

  • Nice vid.

  • the end though is shit :P

  • the most beautifull job i have ever seen...well done my friend. my infinate congratulations...

    you are great! ;) :P

  • Y'ai 'ng'ngah

    YOG-SOTHOTH

    h'ee -- l'geb

    f'ai throdog

    UAAAH!

  • Ancient madness, cosmic chaos and old metallica, I fucking love it, but I think you can choose better pics, some of them are kinda dull others are pretty cool.

  • Not one mind flayer in there. Pffttt.

  • If you can see a mind flayer he's not doing his job;)

  • ARGHH!

  • Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn

  • Thanks from the Cult. we look forward to swallowing your soul;)

  • damn that song rocks, what's the name of the song??

  • It's Call of Ktulu by Metallica....it's spelled wrong though.

it's off of their Ride the Lightning album

  • well, the old one it's call "Cthulhu"...

by the way thankz for the name of the song

  • Its spelt both ways in the Simon's edition of the Necronomicon for some reason.

  • Interestingly enough, Lovecraft promoted the variant spellings of the Old Ones as part of the variant cults around the world philosophy. Thus one person's Cthulhu is another's Ktulu, which I believe Metallica payed homage to through the 'misspelling';)

  • i take back my previous post, i was under the impression of drugs at the time, and just so happened to see some disturbing guro shit, so i guess i had to place my rage somewhere. Didn't mean to hurt lovecraft, love the guy, specially that face he makes during sex. & cthulhu, may he eat your souls through his amazing influence over japanese hentai. long live cthulhu! IA! IA! CTHULHU F'TAGNH!!!!

  • Where did you find that thing behind the counter at around 7:22? And what is it, exactly?

  • Did I just see the Gangrel Clan symbol from Vampire the Requiem? lol

  • yep, its in there.

  • IA IA CTHULU F'THAGN!!!!!!!!!

  • I was honestly drawn to the song, like a spell... The mythos has always creeped me out, what if Lovecraft was right!! ;0

  • Cthulhu cults sure seem to attract those hot goth babes to be priestesses/human sacrifices/victims, etc. Since we're all DOOMED anyways, where do I sign up for that pervy kind of stuff!!! Looking at some of the gals here, I'll just let the Big C swallow my soul, if I can have a night with one of his handmaidens.

  • This is all rather splendid. Love the books(& the music!). Ain't no good at picturing the "Blasphemous Horrors From Beyond Space!", so seeing some genuinly scary pics of Cthulhu, & associated imagery is a genuine public service. Good sources of Wallpaper deserve our support!

  • god, after seeing all this cthulhu stuff on the internet and wikipedia, i've realized...

PEOPLE WERE REALLY FUCKED UP DURING THE 70's & 80's!!! I mean really, have you seen the pictures, fanfiction, and porno reanimator spoof RE-PENETRATOR, plus the role playing games. dont get me wrong, i LOVE LOVECRAFT, its just the fact that there's so many nerds worshipping cthulhu that pisses me off.

  • WE didnt have computers to have fun with in those days, so we did this instead

  • hey, don't forget that the Lovecraft wrote the short stories in the late twenties/early thirties!

  • Why does it piss you off? It affects you not.

  • eh. I agree with what's been said about some of the pictures not relating. But good choice with the Metallica--call of Ktulu.

  • Some of these pictures got nothing to do with cthulhu

  • All things are related to Cthulhu since he plans to end them all;)

  • I will swallow your soul!

  • It is already consumed by the Great Green One;)

  • sorta nice vid but you added so much crap, evil dead does'nt even count. it may have the necronomicon, but its not a mythos movie... the queen was alright, though, not related to the old ones at all. and whats with the stupid pictures of dead people...

  • The effort is merely a way to distract you while the Great Old One reaches out from R'lyeh to swallow your soul;)

  • tee-hee! kinda tickles!

  • nice vid, but the end? Sorry, but finishing theese images with James Bond theme is like killing your own work. Or was it a joke?

  • One must never forget that all one can do in the face of ultimate horror is laugh... before being eaten alive;)

  • Cliff Burton owns you. Don't hate.

  • Yeah! This instrumental owns.

  • Emo?

  • why emo?

  • Exactly, why is he mentioning Emo?

  • it's funny, they spelled it Ktulu- implies wrong pronounciation. I've always pronounced it cu-thoo-loo, but it's often mispronounced cu-too-loo.

  • You cannot mispronounce Cthulhu. The "cth" sound is incredibly hard to pronounce for the human vocal cords, and Lovecraft himself once said that his name was unpronounceable by humans, and any attempt to pronounce his name were just that; attempts. Conclusion: You cannot mispronounce something which cannot be pronounced.

  • Rather, you can ONLY mispronounce that which cannot be pronounced. Same result either way.
