This was before my time, but it strikes me as being WAY ahead of it's time. I've checked out some other bands from that era, and in my opinion, nobody else does it quite like them. Easily one of my all time favs. I tell people about this band and lots of them dig it. PEACE
in short words....superb, thaks uploader for your effort and sharing..also many thanks to the comenteters with there precios tips it's real cool.thanks
Just one of many fantastic tracks off the Down to Earth album. Tamla Motown album TMC 5268,release date 1974. Side 1/ Help yourself, Big John is my name,Brother Louie,I'm a fool for you,Our day will come. Side 2/ Just you 'n 'me,Love and happiness,Law of the land,This gir's alright with me,Save my love for a rainy day, Most of the tracks are by the great Norman Whitfield, and all of them arranged and conducted by Paul Riser, and Mark Davis.
@theboyfromxtown No the TMC number I have quoted is not a cassette number as you imply. You have to realise that Tamla Motown, probably had different Vynil/album numbers for different markets. My album was purchased new in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1974.Also that particular track"Help yourself"was also released as a 45,but on the red and yellow GORDY label,as I have that as well. All Undisputed Truth allbums released in the US are on the GORDY label. Try another one called CREATIVE SOURCE.
Wow thanks I remember dancing to this in my uncles basement when he would have his parties back in the day. Then it was played in heavy rotation at the Muzic Box by ♥Ron♥ Hardy♥

The Temptations remade this song the same year (1973). I like both versions.

The original UK vinyl album was STML 11277 and that UK version contained extra tracks. Their "Let's Go Back To Day One" is a classic
TMC sounds like a cassette release.

This is the original version of "Law of the Land" by the Undisputed Truth with Joe Harris, Billie Rae Calvin and Brenda Joyce. Thanks for posting it.
