Just say "worster-sheer" and see if you can start a trend. I know it's an old American thing to proudly stumble over the name dismissively declaring "I never could say that", but Grandpas jokes are a little stale now aren't they? I don't pull someones' finger anymore either, or call wine "Dago Red", ya know? The "Big Dubya Dubya Twooo" was so long ago, let's see if we can move on, K?
@AWickedMind Always son. See, the self indulgence of parochial weirdos commenting on nothing is total. Got it? Learn, live, and spread the love,so the fire burns along with it. Don't be a wet blanket, like you're being here. That's a plan for total fail in future. You're welcome.
@kern0099 With such nonsensical blabbering, you must be high as a kite. Funny, most stoners have pretty agreeable personalities. And on just general YouTube dicks with unfathomably large egos, the grammar skills at least tend to be better. Enjoy life as a double paradox.
@freitasex Ohh, I see. Even in Los Angeles, it's difficult to get authentic English Bangers. I have to go to an English pub in L.A. Call's Kings Head.
Honestly, all I was doing, was trying to offer some help n guidance to the folks out there who have trouble pronouncing words in the "English" language, as opposed to the "American" language, but for some reason you folks got your collective knickers in a real twist and got it all backwards. Just goes to prove the old saying "No good deed goes unpunished". Please folks can we let sanity regain control here, and stop with the brickbats and slurs You know peace is a lot better than fighting
I didn't want a tight here, to begin with so can we please declare a truce, or at least a cease fire, maybe even declare PEACE, after all the war of independance is over folks. Mind you I always wondered why after fighting US for so long over taxes, the first thing you folks did was to impose even MORE of 'em. Seems kinda ass about face to me but hey what do I know ?.
Hold up there my friend I have a sneaking suspicion that we are fighting the wrong battle here. I was actually replying to the failed apprentice copulating fornicator who totally got the wrong end of the stick and started slinging the brickbats about., I was not, and did not, suggest that you had problems with pronouncing Worcestershire. However as evinced by the various videos out there, SOME Americans obviously do, it was to those people I was simply offering some helpful advice. I trhought.
I was definitely NOT trying to sound like a condescending prick as you call it. I had simply noted that a lot of Americans seemed to have trouble pronouncing Worcestershire, so I thought I'd give you folks some simple advice, to help prevent you making asses of yourselves. But if you don't want to rake my advice and want to keep on making idiots of yourselvesm hey go right ahead. You appear to havbe a LOT of experience at it.
@crushed51 whoa. easy guy. I'm an American and know how to pronounce it. I also didn't take your initial comment as a shot but more like a friendly jab (we all break each others' balls). However, we don't all make asses out of ourselves and the English (and LOTS of other countries) have been making asses out of themselves for far longer than Americans have. Simple history ain't it? Relax and don't be a dick to us all. That's like me saying the English all shake their babies to death. Cheers...
By the way here's a hint to you Americans who always seem to have problems pronouncing "Worcestershire" say it like we do, wus ter sheer :) simple aint it :)
As an Englishman, you did great up to when you included apple. We don't mix onions and apple in England (at least not for a traditional onion gravy). However, as every housewife has her own way of making it, you can bet your sweet life that somebody does, so as far as I am concerned if you like it with apples go ahead, looks good enough to eat to me :)
I'm making bangers and champ for tonight's St. Patty's day dinner. Also, I read somewhere that gravy is not part of traditional bangers and mash. Not sure if that was right or not... but anyways, thanks for the vid :)
I was hesitant about the apples, but wow I loved them in it.
Thanks so much for commenting and giving me the opportunity to respond and talk and sort of give like a second chance to tell you that the apples were good for me at least.
Very different!!! I would love this, but not my family. They flipped out over my pork tenderloin with tomato sauce and peppers tonight. I would have eaten sausage while waiting also!!! I bet the apples were very yummy!!! Great video as always :)
Well yes of course veggie or turkey sausages would be perfect!
Last night I was making a tuna dish, and gave Lolita some tuna... she loved it, and it was the first time that she ever ate anything other than her food.
I heard on the food network channel the other week, "Bangers" got their name from ages ago when the sausages were being cooked, the steam would build inside the casing of the sausage until the sausage would explode.....hence the name "Bang"-er. Not kidding! LOL Just a tiny tidbit of useless trivia. By the way, send me some leftovers. It looks absolutely scrumptious!!!
As a Brit and a Bangers and Mash fan, I have to say this is very acceptable! I will have to try this way of making it soon because it looks amazing! Thanks for the recipe Freita, you are an amazing cook!
