  • never prick the sausage just learn how to cook them. pans too hot and you dont cover them

  • Where is your pint of bitter!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Thw twang of his 'a' is really unvelievable: mash, pan, and, etc...

  • BTW, Safeway sells bangers now, they're under the Staags brand. Just FYI, cheers.

  • @kern0099

No Safeway around here in the crappy place that I live, but life goes on.

  • Just say "worster-sheer" and see if you can start a trend. I know it's an old American thing to proudly stumble over the name dismissively declaring "I never could say that", but Grandpas jokes are a little stale now aren't they? I don't pull someones' finger anymore either, or call wine "Dago Red", ya know? The "Big Dubya Dubya Twooo" was so long ago, let's see if we can move on, K?

  • @kern0099 You're kind of an asshole, aren't you?

  • @AWickedMind Always son. See, the self indulgence of parochial weirdos commenting on nothing is total. Got it? Learn, live, and spread the love,so the fire burns along with it. Don't be a wet blanket, like you're being here. That's a plan for total fail in future. You're welcome.

  • @kern0099 With such nonsensical blabbering, you must be high as a kite. Funny, most stoners have pretty agreeable personalities. And on just general YouTube dicks with unfathomably large egos, the grammar skills at least tend to be better. Enjoy life as a double paradox.

  • @AWickedMind "Enjoy life as a double paradox." And the same to you, logical midget. Google "intent", see what you find, K?

  • The only thing that isn't acceptable about this video is the way you say, 'Worcestershire' haha. But we will let you off!

  • @JonnyBum

Well I thank you for that!

  • This looks really good. Thinking about trying this at home. Whereabouts in Indiana are you from?

  • @mattnik

I live in Evansville, not the best town but it is okay I guess.

  • ever heard of bisto :D

  • Too bad Barefoot wine sucks.

  • omg!!!! that intro tune....can someone tell me what it is??? plz, i've heard it in a lot of places but couldn't figure who it is!!!! thanx

  • WILL YOU COEM FOR MY BANGERS! MY BEANS AMA- hey wait a minute this isn't the song. YOUR WEIRD!

  • Those look like Italian sausage. English "bangers" appear lighter color right?

  • @cliffcox66

I have never seen bangers with my eyes.

English type sausages are not available to me here in small town Indiana.

  • @freitasex Ohh, I see. Even in Los Angeles, it's difficult to get authentic English Bangers. I have to go to an English pub in L.A. Call's Kings Head.

  • You sound like jack black

  • who wants a banger in the mouth?

  • I could just eat the gravy! Yum!

  • @woofyhugger

    Thank you Matt !!

  • Honestly, all I was doing, was trying to offer some help n guidance to the folks out there who have trouble pronouncing words in the "English" language, as opposed to the "American" language, but for some reason you folks got your collective knickers in a real twist and got it all backwards. Just goes to prove the old saying "No good deed goes unpunished". Please folks can we let sanity regain control here, and stop with the brickbats and slurs You know peace is a lot better than fighting

  • I didn't want a tight here, to begin with so can we please declare a truce, or at least a cease fire, maybe even declare PEACE, after all the war of independance is over folks. Mind you I always wondered why after fighting US for so long over taxes, the first thing you folks did was to impose even MORE of 'em. Seems kinda ass about face to me but hey what do I know ?.

  • Hold up there my friend I have a sneaking suspicion that we are fighting the wrong battle here. I was actually replying to the failed apprentice copulating fornicator who totally got the wrong end of the stick and started slinging the brickbats about., I was not, and did not, suggest that you had problems with pronouncing Worcestershire. However as evinced by the various videos out there, SOME Americans obviously do, it was to those people I was simply offering some helpful advice. I trhought.

  • I was definitely NOT trying to sound like a condescending prick as you call it. I had simply noted that a lot of Americans seemed to have trouble pronouncing Worcestershire, so I thought I'd give you folks some simple advice, to help prevent you making asses of yourselves. But if you don't want to rake my advice and want to keep on making idiots of yourselvesm hey go right ahead. You appear to havbe a LOT of experience at it.

  • @crushed51 whoa. easy guy. I'm an American and know how to pronounce it. I also didn't take your initial comment as a shot but more like a friendly jab (we all break each others' balls). However, we don't all make asses out of ourselves and the English (and LOTS of other countries) have been making asses out of themselves for far longer than Americans have. Simple history ain't it? Relax and don't be a dick to us all. That's like me saying the English all shake their babies to death. Cheers...

  • I thought you had the use the English Bangers, which are white/grey colored. Those look like Italian.

  • I buy wine in big bottles... so i can drink it!!!

  • By the way here's a hint to you Americans who always seem to have problems pronouncing "Worcestershire" say it like we do, wus ter sheer :) simple aint it :)

  • @crushed51

Thank you very much for everything!

  • As an Englishman, you did great up to when you included apple. We don't mix onions and apple in England (at least not for a traditional onion gravy). However, as every housewife has her own way of making it, you can bet your sweet life that somebody does, so as far as I am concerned if you like it with apples go ahead, looks good enough to eat to me :)

  • god the gravy looks delicious

  • @nbananna

    Thank you Ana!

  • Gravy is too thin.

    Too much apple.

    And not enough gravy:onion.

If you are from England, are you from Liverpool? Because I am well aware they do it differently but, in London, it is how I described.

  • thumbs up if you came here from a radiohead video XD

  • Freita can I substitute something else other than wine? By the way can you make meatloaf?

  • @super643d

You can sub chicken stock for the wine.

I have a meatloaf video, I am not a great meatloaf maker.

  • do u take fiber supplements?

  • God bless the queeen

  • By the way, that looks absolutely disgusting.

  • Nice speech impediment. LOL.

  • Whats the intro song?

  • The best part about buying a big bottle of wine is you get to drink it.

  • looks good

  • @GeraldLoves2Cook

    Thank you Gerald!

  • WORST ACSENT WORST VIDEO

  • whats the song

  • Lol, proper British gravy is made of Bisto gravy granules and hot water :P

But looks luuuurvly. Don't think I would put apples with mine though...

  • @MikaKaiTV

You can certainly leave the apples out for sure, thanks!

  • @MikaKaiTV Lol no. Chav.

  • that looks good. BTW, i drink about 14 of those barefoot wines a day!

  • acceptable to me :)

I have a video on that.

    It is called Mashed Potatoes.

    Thanks for your question!

  • @freitasex OK ill watch that !

  • Nice video and thanks for the recipe. I gotta make this now

  • @Sksoadpnk

It is very good UK food!

  • nice, thanks for sharing! Almost a shepherds pie on a plate!

  • @JimboJitsu

You are welcome and thank you!

  • great video.

from chef Dave, Thomas Rigby's pub, Liverpool England.

  • @bigdavelee28

    Wow, thank you!

You watching and approval means a lot to me!

  • I'm making bangers and champ for tonight's St. Patty's day dinner. Also, I read somewhere that gravy is not part of traditional bangers and mash. Not sure if that was right or not... but anyways, thanks for the vid :)

  • @Kirinoko109

    Thank you!

  • I love bangers and mash

  • @theawesome6842

Thanks and I hope that I made it ok in your opinion!

  • I like it!!!! Looks yummy

  • Thanks very much!

  • Interesting, probably tasty, but it isn't even close to real bangers and mash. And no, baked beans are not a part of it either.

  • "I ate part of one"

    LOL

  • I thought you add baked beans as well dont you?

  • Baked beans? Not that I know of, but then I am not english.

  • it nees baked beans..thats how they served it in a american bar

  • @wisesatyr72 - Baked beans aren't part of traditional bangers and mash. You're probably thinking of wieners and beans. :)

  • I'm so showing this to my mom! shes gonna LOVE this!! :D

  • I hope she likes it as much as you do!

    Thanks!

  • Looks good - although I prefer to replace the apples with mushrooms & replace the wine with apple cider! :-D

  • i need ur creamy mash recipe .. um mash potato recipies collector :D

  • You make me hungry everytime!

    Quit posting these delicious videos!

  • A new spin on sausage and onions. I don't think you need the wine, that cooks off anyway. Entertaining tho.

  • Nice comment from a Niceguy!

  • Gravy looks delicious !! Thanks for another delicious recipe

  • Thanks, always nice to hear from you Clyde.

  • Interesting recipe, I'm not too sure about the apples though..

  • I understand what you mean.

I was hesitant about the apples, but wow I loved them in it.

Thanks so much for commenting and giving me the opportunity to respond and talk and sort of give like a second chance to tell you that the apples were good for me at least.

  • Pork and apples are made for each other, try it, it's awesome! I glaze my hams with an apple cider reduction and it is so yummy.

  • I'm going to come to your house for dinner one night, LOL

  • Will you bring dessert with you?

  • Very different!!! I would love this, but not my family. They flipped out over my pork tenderloin with tomato sauce and peppers tonight. I would have eaten sausage while waiting also!!! I bet the apples were very yummy!!! Great video as always :)

  • What? I think pork with tomato sauce and peppers sounds great!!!!

The apples in the gravy were different and I loved it.

  • That look very good.

  • Thank you sir!

  • u shut do it with rice^^

  • you are correct!

  • woo british food. ive never had it with apples in the gravy but im sure it tastes great, that mash looked lovely and creamy -drools-

  • Wow, thanks! Means a lot to me!

I googled and looked at many recipes, some had apple cider in the gravy as well. I learned that the onion gravy is the key.

After looking at 7 different versions, I chose the one from Channel 4

  • I'm in the same boat looking for recipes. Last time, I tried sans apples, but used apple juice instead of the wine.

Thanks for another look at it! (Well, done video, too.)

  • Well done mate =) Looks GREAT as usual.

I wonder if this could be done Alla turkey?? or veggie? Why not eh?

    Michael you are MMMMMMarvellous !!!!

    xxxx

  • OMG Marvelous Michael.

Well yes of course veggie or turkey sausages would be perfect!

Last night I was making a tuna dish, and gave Lolita some tuna... she loved it, and it was the first time that she ever ate anything other than her food.

  • I bet she licked her paws and wiped her face forever after that....lol

  • English loooveee those sausages.

  • I would love to go there some day, they have some great food.

  • I though I'd let you know I made it for dinner.

Excitingly different and very yummy! The gravy is almost reminiscent of borscht to me... ;-)

    Thanks!!

  • I very happy that you liked it, I really liked it too and will make it again!

    Thank You!

  • looks great

  • Thank you Harley!

  • This is so hearty! I love it!!

  • Thanks, it was great.

  • Woo Hoo I got a mention!

This looks amazing, it's making me very hungry though :)

    Great video 5/5

  • Yes you got a mention; because the food was EXCELLENT!

  • I heard on the food network channel the other week, "Bangers" got their name from ages ago when the sausages were being cooked, the steam would build inside the casing of the sausage until the sausage would explode.....hence the name "Bang"-er. Not kidding! LOL Just a tiny tidbit of useless trivia. By the way, send me some leftovers. It looks absolutely scrumptious!!!

  • The leftovers are all gone!

Next time I will make extra for ya!

And YOU and your trivia are NOT useless, I admire you!

  • As a Brit and a Bangers and Mash fan, I have to say this is very acceptable! I will have to try this way of making it soon because it looks amazing! Thanks for the recipe Freita, you are an amazing cook!

  • Thank YOU... whew, I thought it tasted great!

  • orion likes when i use apple butter

    xoexo

  • thats what i do

    he loves the sweetness

    xoexo

  • Cocks apples? :) pwned. No shorts for me? ):

  • Would you believe that I thought about that while making the video? I did I did!

  • Cock apples? Or Shorts? lol!

  • I will never tell, it will be a mystery for the rest of your life!

  • I'm guessing the cock apples. lol

  • Do you always have to have the last word?

  • Yes. lol

  • That is an excellent recipe! Great Job, I will definitely be trying this out soon.

  • Thanks, I really liked it and hope you do too!

  • Oh man! That looks great! I'll have to tryi it!

Maybe Twish will come and tell you if it's acceptable. ;-)

  • If she watches my videos... I would never know.

It was really good, thanks for writing to me!

    Cheers Mate!
