>bad genetics for bodybuilding (shoulders narrow, waist wide, no calves)
>doesn't respond well to steroids so has to compete in the naturals with the other guys who don't respond well to steroids
>doesn't actually have true muscular strength or else he would actually have a lot of muscle to back it up. Its pretty much tendons/bones, modified technique to decrease range of motion while encorporating other bodyparts to complete the lift. And of course a shitload of hormones.
Hard work beats talent(genetics), until talent start working card. Genetics is vital, like it or not. In IFBB shows its more your AAS response which is important. In any case, don't disregard genetics.
"My goal when I come in here everyday is to make sure that if someone beats me - its not because they outworked me!" - Layne Norton, Natural Pro. Thats very inspirational
very inspirational. i get what you're saying about the times you went through when you were younger, i get that a lot now. and it's really great for me to see people like you that have come out of similar situations on top of things. really motivational, man and i thank you. means a lot
Doing Layne's power/hypertrophy routine for a couple of months. This routine is perfect for me because I like to hit all of my muscles at least twice a week and I'm not a big fan of big split routines. Upper/Lower is where I've made my best strenght and size gains.
@suparpowers Yes they can be a shortcut. But when used when your at your genetic limit, they can allow you to reach the next level. The level that is just not genetically possible.
Nice ! You know what I like the most ??? It's people who tell me that I take steroids and i'm Natural like you ! It shows that my traning is paying dividence
Hi layne.this is natural bber nick savage from greece.what i like about you layne,is the fact that you seem very educated, and in your videos you explain a lot your workout routine and strategy.you can always take something from somebody other;s idea. and please!! ignore the haters
yeah i went through that crap initially in high school, but you get respect and ppl leave you alone as soon as they start to see that your bigger and stronger and you have the ability to beat the shit out of them when they eventually try to fuck with you and take it to far
my calves are 17 inches and i've never squatted in my life. chicken leg cunt.also wahts with this YEAH I WAS THE WEAK KID IN SKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL LOL FUCKING BITCH. when u have genetic dslike that there is no way you were ever small
@Techtoniq1 between 13-18 depending on many variables. i guess his measurements are taken from the off season too when his bodyfat is going to be between 10-20 too. also, no point in comparing our legs was stupid of me, he's a bodybuilder and i've been genetically blessed with strong ass legs.
Any of you who say this guy isn`t natural are arrogant fags. Look he has 18in arms in the off season 48in chest and 27in thighs. Im 19 years old all natural myself and im at 16.75in arms 46chest and 25in quads. This guy has worked his ass off to get where he is. You have NO idea what it takes to make gains like this without EVER touching juice. Iv been lifting consistent sinse i was 13 years old this guy is an inspiration period.
Damn straight, brah. Been bodybuilding on and off for 4 years. It's hard-ass work and it takes quite a bit of time to discover and learn what routines, training techniques, and diet will produce the best type of results with each individual type of genetics. I barely found out what works best for me a year ago. Layne is a fucking beast and has yet to reach his peak.
he's all natural whoever doesn't think so is a loser. people that talk shit are the people that read magazines in a corner and buy a shit ton of products from gnc and don't actually lift any weights. Layne is the man of natural bodybuilding he has everything down to a science whether it be lifting, food, or his cutting cycles. Huge inspiration to the natties out there and respected by all who actually know what they are doing. God bless
His video motivated me to never wear a bandana again. The rage of seing it on his head was enough for me to go into the gym and press an extra 4lbs this week. Some get pissed off by attitude, others by under armor. Your lifts show me you can lift, the spandex shirts and headbands show me your wife no longer has a say in your dress code... Good shit reguardless.
Layne is the reason i touched four 19 year old girls this week, with all my new found muscle from his videos, I was able to bang several hot chicks like the screen door in a texas trailer park during a tornado. With this new found inspiration i was able to beat all genetic odds and win my first show in the stockrooms of walmart, although hank would have won if he used as much pensoil as i had on. Thanks again Layne... Stay natural..
I must say, Layne has given me some motivation lately to not cross into the dark side or the easy road. I'd love to become a bodybuilder but I lack some knowledge that I'd need to step it up. Even with injury, never giving up and finding away around it, just like after your pec tear. Gotta keep pushing if you want to be the best!
LOL, another loser with no pictures or video of themselves. I was going to say that if you show up at a show i'm doing and beat me i'll give you a thousand bucks. But there's no point. Your just a loser sitting behind a screen talking garbage. You'll never compete and you'll never lift anything respectable unless you change your attitude. Keep hatin', I'll keep succeeding.

Cool Layne! Thanks for all of your erudite and edifying posts on the BB forums.
What was your education like after high school? (he's no dummy)
How is your pec tear/separation injury rehabilitation coming along? Will you need additional surgery? (The damage was worse than suspected and looked pretty gross)
No additional surgery needed thank goodness, it is healing really well.
after HS I got my BS in Biochemistry from Eckerd College and I'm now in the PhD program at the University of Illinois for Nutritional Science, my specialization being skeletal muscle protein metabolism

I got my BS in biochemistry and am now working on my PhD in nutritional science.
My injury is healing ahead of schedule and will require no other surgery! Thanks so much for your kind words and concern!

Cool Layne! Thanks for all of your erudite and edifying posts on the BB forums.
What was your education like after high school? (he's no dummy)
How is your pec tear/separation injury rehabilitation coming along? Will you need additional surgery? (The damage was worse than suspected and looked pretty gross)
zippyman818 3 years ago 3
No additional surgery needed thank goodness, it is healing really well.
after HS I got my BS in Biochemistry from Eckerd College and I'm now in the PhD program at the University of Illinois for Nutritional Science, my specialization being skeletal muscle protein metabolism
