  • This vid is popular on Brasilia

  • I've got 1.5 inches on my thighs until I'm like Layne! Hopefully someday! The rest of my body is nowhere near though!

  • How tall is he ?

  • @magksa 5'11"

  • Your video is a favorite on Czech Republic

  • its crazy that no matter what someone does theres always some asshole to make some stupid comment!

  • oh okay so this > thing is appearing on all bbing/powerlifting videos lol should of known :P

  • >bad genetics for bodybuilding (shoulders narrow, waist wide, no calves)

    >doesn't respond well to steroids so has to compete in the naturals with the other guys who don't respond well to steroids

    >doesn't actually have true muscular strength or else he would actually have a lot of muscle to back it up. Its pretty much tendons/bones, modified technique to decrease range of motion while encorporating other bodyparts to complete the lift. And of course a shitload of hormones.

  • @armchairifbbjudge gow many vids did u comment sayin this?

  • @vleon1012 hahaha god I hope your joking lol

  • Good work Layne.

  • "My goal when I come in here everyday is to make sure that if someone beats me - its not because they outworked me!" - Layne Norton, Natural Pro. Thats very inspirational

  • Layne u have inspired me to train harder and smarter you are a fucking Legend. GET EM!!!!!!!!!

  • Layne Norton, the very person who inspired me to start bodybuilding. Thanks to you, I decided to turn my life around. Keep killin em Layne!

  • very inspirational. i get what you're saying about the times you went through when you were younger, i get that a lot now. and it's really great for me to see people like you that have come out of similar situations on top of things. really motivational, man and i thank you. means a lot

  • This is so inspiring! Thanks Layne! :)

  • layne is the fucking man. a huge inspiration

  • lot of haters posting comments. good job layne, keep kicking ass. youre an inspiration in my books.

  • hey layne what are your legs measuring now?!?!?!?!?!

  • Doing Layne's power/hypertrophy routine for a couple of months. This routine is perfect for me because I like to hit all of my muscles at least twice a week and I'm not a big fan of big split routines. Upper/Lower is where I've made my best strenght and size gains.

  • NAME 0F S0NG?

  • @wantapie Go try them and feel the power they give you, then come back telling me they're not a shortcut.

  • @suparpowers Yes they can be a shortcut. But when used when your at your genetic limit, they can allow you to reach the next level. The level that is just not genetically possible.

  • @thepolished1 Tell that the other guy, I know that... I am the one told him they're a shortcut... try reading the whole argument.

  • What song is this Layne?

  • 2:14 - Nice Sansa Clip on your arm; used to have one just like it. :P

    Bodybuilder...but still helluva powerlifter.

  • str8flexed

  • layne's simply the best

  • LAYNE. KICKS. ASS

  • Good to see there are still natural bodybuilders in competitions and stuff... not taking shortcuts by using steroids...

  • Nice ! You know what I like the most ??? It's people who tell me that I take steroids and i'm Natural like you ! It shows that my traning is paying dividence

  • Hi layne.this is natural bber nick savage from greece.what i like about you layne,is the fact that you seem very educated, and in your videos you explain a lot your workout routine and strategy.you can always take something from somebody other;s idea. and please!! ignore the haters

  • 6 dislikes? How can you dislike Layne fucking norton?

  • How tall is Layne?

  • @SantiagoKenny 5 foot 10 and a half I believe..

  • champions train losers complain , pain is temporary glory is forever!

  • whats the track?

  • Rock on, dude. You're doing terrific.

  • wudnt want to mess with him

  • yeah i went through that crap initially in high school, but you get respect and ppl leave you alone as soon as they start to see that your bigger and stronger and you have the ability to beat the shit out of them when they eventually try to fuck with you and take it to far

  • my calves are 17 inches and i've never squatted in my life. chicken leg cunt.also wahts with this YEAH I WAS THE WEAK KID IN SKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL LOL FUCKING BITCH. when u have genetic dslike that there is no way you were ever small

  • @bigbobabc123 fat McDonald's fag detected ...

btw, my calves are the same size.. but i'm not fat :)

  • @Techtoniq1 no i'm a rugby player.

  • @bigbobabc123 then ur bodyfat has to be more than 15% i guess... am i right?

    his bf is ~10

  • @Techtoniq1 between 13-18 depending on many variables. i guess his measurements are taken from the off season too when his bodyfat is going to be between 10-20 too. also, no point in comparing our legs was stupid of me, he's a bodybuilder and i've been genetically blessed with strong ass legs.

  • @bigbobabc123 shut the fuck up you fat fuck, theres a difference between 17" muscle and 17" fucking fat

  • Any of you who say this guy isn`t natural are arrogant fags. Look he has 18in arms in the off season 48in chest and 27in thighs. Im 19 years old all natural myself and im at 16.75in arms 46chest and 25in quads. This guy has worked his ass off to get where he is. You have NO idea what it takes to make gains like this without EVER touching juice. Iv been lifting consistent sinse i was 13 years old this guy is an inspiration period.

  • @aaron07311

Damn straight, brah. Been bodybuilding on and off for 4 years. It's hard-ass work and it takes quite a bit of time to discover and learn what routines, training techniques, and diet will produce the best type of results with each individual type of genetics. I barely found out what works best for me a year ago. Layne is a fucking beast and has yet to reach his peak.

  • yoooooo where can i find this damn dvd

  • My frist show is in January, INBF, you're an inspiration man, keep it up :D!!

  • I'M competing in my first Natural Contest in October, you are an inspiration brotha!!!!

  • lol I'm in that wrestling poster at the very beginning of the video haha nice U of I love

  • What is song ?

  • Keep on rockin', Layne! Way to go. It takes a lot of hard work to become big and strong. Respect.

  • the one Body Building DVD I want to see and I cannot find it anywhere. Wish I had bought it when it came out, I can't even find this used

  • i cant find this dvd anywhere

  • please tell me what the song is in this clip?

    thanks in advance

  • he's all natural whoever doesn't think so is a loser. people that talk shit are the people that read magazines in a corner and buy a shit ton of products from gnc and don't actually lift any weights. Layne is the man of natural bodybuilding he has everything down to a science whether it be lifting, food, or his cutting cycles. Huge inspiration to the natties out there and respected by all who actually know what they are doing. God bless

  • Looks like a good video. Personally, I'm not a fan of Bbing videos. But this one seems motivational. Props Layne!

  • What is the song playing?

  • @sockouk did you find out the song man?

  • @midcitygym No I didn't :/

  • Inspiring

  • Just ordered this off the scivation site.

Can't wait to watch it on the big screen tv

  • Will you give me a grand when i beat you? Gonna make for a big pay day :) Good luck at your first pro show!

  • I wish I had this DVD, but it's damn expensive

  • this video pumps me up like crazy. great motivation

  • awesome

  • Noone got any idea what song is playing in this video?

  • Anyone know name of the background music?

  • You're a God, Layne and a hella role model to us all.

  • bay areaaaaa

  • do "natural" body builders use protein shakes or not?

  • Wtf are you stupid? Protein is natural coming from meat, nuts, and etc.

  • @twowheelworld

yes, it does NOT have steroids

  • @twowheelworld

    no protein is a steriod

    not serious

  • His video motivated me to never wear a bandana again. The rage of seing it on his head was enough for me to go into the gym and press an extra 4lbs this week. Some get pissed off by attitude, others by under armor. Your lifts show me you can lift, the spandex shirts and headbands show me your wife no longer has a say in your dress code... Good shit reguardless.

  • LOL, whatever float your boat chief :)

  • Layne is the reason i touched four 19 year old girls this week, with all my new found muscle from his videos, I was able to bang several hot chicks like the screen door in a texas trailer park during a tornado. With this new found inspiration i was able to beat all genetic odds and win my first show in the stockrooms of walmart, although hank would have won if he used as much pensoil as i had on. Thanks again Layne... Stay natural..

  • dude. only 4? Step it up weaksauce.

  • @Jeremylastrep

    nice rant

  • i have a question...y dont u use steroids?

  • because I don't want to. my choice.

  • layne is the reason that i could bench 220lbs after 10 months of hard core training!!!

  • Good work. When I first watched this vid I could barely pick up 225 lbs, Now I'm repping 405. Thanks Layne!

  • I must say, Layne has given me some motivation lately to not cross into the dark side or the easy road. I'd love to become a bodybuilder but I lack some knowledge that I'd need to step it up. Even with injury, never giving up and finding away around it, just like after your pec tear. Gotta keep pushing if you want to be the best!

  • Name of the song?!

  • LOL, another loser with no pictures or video of themselves. I was going to say that if you show up at a show i'm doing and beat me i'll give you a thousand bucks. But there's no point. Your just a loser sitting behind a screen talking garbage. You'll never compete and you'll never lift anything respectable unless you change your attitude. Keep hatin', I'll keep succeeding.

  • @biolayne who were you commenting at?

  • @biolayne dont even give these sissys the time layne brah

  • @biolayne if i was u, i wont even bother answering to such "critiques" - a bunch of keyboard warriors who feel better about themselves by putting someone down.

    good work, nonetheless.

  • I look forward to you stepping onstage with me one day LOL

  • look forward to seeing you onstage LOL :)

  • Barnett the point of it is that he's prooving that hard work and dedication is all you need. You dont have to juice to get jacked, i have nothing against people who use it cause you still have to work hard but it takes alot longer naturally. And hard work beats genetics any day =D

  • @Vonoctane but hard work + genetics... That's a deadly combo.

  • Comment removed

  • @Vonoctane He is not natural bro, sorry.

  • Comment removed

  • layne, you are my hero.

  • @barnetthejosh creatine is by far NOT a steroid. he is a natural bodybuilder. get with the damn program.

  • what song is this

  • Awesome work!

  • What is the name of that song?

  • Its both inspirational how he turned his life around, and how he is staying off steroids to achieve his goals, true role model

  • cool story hansel.

  • great vid

  • cool story bro

  • Hey Layne I am a massive fan of you, I am on the MD forums and read your article in MD. I was always picked on and ostracized as a child and I kinda came into weight lifting the same way as you. You are a huge inspiration and a real role model!

  • Layne this is fucking inspirational. Does this video talk about your hyper/power routine?

  • yes it does

  • Hey!!! I have that same exact MP3 player!!! aaaaaaaand that's about all we have in common unfortunately.

  • i started following this guy's stats since i was 12 and im now 18... layne is the real deal

  • dude, you're just like me!! i was picked on for having a unibrow in middle school. then freshman year of high school one night 12 older kids from my town ganged up on me and one sucker punched me in the face. that through me into the gym. then i fell in love with the weights. If i ever see those kids again ill just growl at them, but should really thank them-perhaps id never would have found the gym!!!

  • Man that's fucking awesome! You should upload some videos of you.

  • LOL

  • If as your name implies, you can squat 625lb, those bullies better hope they never see you again haha.

  • does anyone know the name of the song????

  • "If you let what are others are doing influence what you do, you really have nothing left of yourself"

    Amazing quotable right there =)

  • takes one to know one

  • I love this teaser, it almost brings a teardrop to my eye. I can relate so much. Your still my hero, Layne! =)

  • wat a tank well done layne

  • 0:58 why does he keep the bar at the front?

  • that's just one squat variation, called front squat. it hits your thighs in a little different way than the regular "back squat"

  • Front squats.. One of the hardest exercises there is.

  • no, overhead squat is more difficult :D

  • lmao

  • but not so effective for your legs cause you cant use nearly the weight you can use on front or back squat

  • Wow Layne you have come a long way mate!!!

I used to post under Duiran.

  • Awesome trailer Layne!

  • yeah whats the song after he says i can do something about this...great inspiration bro!

  • does anyone know what the background musics called and who its by?

  • hey layne. being one of the strongest natural lifters i have ever seen. do you think squatting 315 for ten is decent, at a weight of 200 off season ans 167 contest? i am very anal about my legs

  • that's very decent, if it's with good form, probably less than 5% of lifters can do that much weight with good form

  • yoo layne whats the name if this song?

  • the song is Layne Norton by Layne Norton from the album Layne Norton

  • whats this song? anyone????????

  • Hi,

Can you tell me what is the song?

You are a motivation source for a lot of people.

-a nutritional sciences collegue from Canada ;)

  • Great trailer Layne! It was great seeing you in town again and we wish you nothing but continued success as you have been a constant motivation for us. Stay strong and keep us all updated on your progress.

  • Cool video. Layne is living proof that you can achieve great things without drugs, good genetics or not.

  • :O mine and his stories about how we started are nearly identical! He's 1 amazing guy.

  • layne, all the props in the world to u man

  • kool you inspired me not to take steriods i was thinking about it for a long time. Now I see you can get very far without steriods :)

  • let me say that i respect the fact that you made a name for yourself in bodybuilding whether it be nga or ifbb it is an accomplishment to be a pro in whatever

  • I appreciate that. I respect anyone who steps onstage, hence the reason I don't go slinging disparaging remarks at others and try to make them feel bad. I think you have a great structure and should do very well. Best of luck to you in the future.

  • nahhh my home is the NPC and IFBB is the future....you can check my video on here just type in uriah mcgee

  • your the greatest, this video inspired me alot.

  • Just very impressive all around. It's very nice to see an articulate, intelligent, and well rounded natural bodybuilder that espouses the virtues of hard work and a solid training foundation, over shortcuts and drugs.

  • you wont see me on stage unless you come over to the NPC

  • I support natural bodybuilding. I may do an NPC show at some point as I have done them in the past but my goal is to do well in pro natural shows. If you believe so strongly that i'm such a terrible bodybuilder then I think you would be more than happy to do a pro natural show and earn a few thousand dollars by winning since you're so impressive

  • I look forward to seeing you onstage then. By your account you should destroy me... I guess we'll see :)

  • haha, nice reply.

  • just ordered the DVD today and can't WAIT. Layne is awesome!

  • Could anybody tell me what the background music is?

  • so inspirational layne is my favorite bodybuilder and will be a champion one day

  • how tall is layne norton?

  • 5'10'' if I remember correctly..

  • Awesome. Looking forward to watching.

  • Congrats, Layne! You are truly in a class all your own. Thank you for educating and inspiring. Don't ever stop.

  • Amazing Layne. Very inspirational. You are one dedicated guy to this sport and to helping others. So happy for you!

  • Nice dude. I like your hard work and dedication. But you are very modest... You've definitely been blessed with talent. Keep it up!!!

  • layne you are a legend. 100% pure natural :p they way bb should be. glad you are making a speedy recovery.

1st time user of paypal, think i did things right :p

  • Layne = BAMF ... DVD = ORDERED!!

  • good stuff lane!

  • sweeet defenately ordering

  • baller...

  • I got my BS in biochemistry and am now working on my PhD in nutritional science.

My injury is healing ahead of schedule and will require no other surgery! Thanks so much for your kind words and concern!

  • Cool Layne! Thanks for all of your erudite and edifying posts on the BB forums.

What was your education like after high school? (he's no dummy)

How is your pec tear/separation injury rehabilitation coming along? Will you need additional surgery? (The damage was worse than suspected and looked pretty gross)

  • No additional surgery needed thank goodness, it is healing really well.

after HS I got my BS in Biochemistry from Eckerd College and I'm now in the PhD program at the University of Illinois for Nutritional Science, my specialization being skeletal muscle protein metabolism
