What that broad has been smoking?! "His eye was lying on the ice and they had to put it back in".
First: How can an eye fall out of one's socket with a puck? It would have to cut all the nerves and muscles that hold the eye in its place. Second: Why would put a dead, decaying eyeball back in your socket? Glass eyes exist for that.
@tr1umph And that is all you got out of this story. I guess if it was all about the Hanson Bros., running around spouting quote after quote from the movie, and you would have enjoyed this better?
@Firebird7478 What the hell are you babbling? I commented because that was the most funniest/mindboggling part about the video. How can you not take note of a quote like that?
@tr1umph you over reacted to a news piece that actually took this movie seriously and didn't clutter it up with all the quotes. To insinuate that Janet was "smoking" something does an injustice to her. 25 years elapsed, perhaps she misspoke. So what? You overreacted to it. Simples.
@RickySouthwell Comcast Sportsnet is a cable station in Philadelphia that is dedicated to sports. They've expanded their operations into the Baltimore/DC area, NYC, Chicago, Denver (Mountain Sports) and the San Francisco Bay Area. You may be confusing Comcast Sportsnet with Canada's Rogers Sportsnet.
@Firebird7478 i know rogers sportsnet, i live in canada so i watch it all the time and one of the intervierw locations for this video was done at rogers sportsnet, i just never heard of comcast sportsnet so i thought that maybe comast use to be in canada or something
@RickySouthwell Since Guido Tenisi lives in the Toronto area, we arranged with Rogers to have Guido interviewed by them, and they sent us the footage. We're in Philadelphia.
the key board player rod masters use to be band leader of the don richards show of which i was bass player 6 months or so it was a fun time he yoused to speak of that movie a lot wear he gets hit in the head with the hockey puck och

It's a video package that aired on a broadcast television station. It was edited that way. The dialogue is there, it is buried underneath the sound bites and the music. That''s how a package is suppose to be produced.
Great rare footage! As a lifelong hockey/Rangers fan, I saw this in the theater at 12 years old. Definitely THE best sports movie ever made. Tons of great quotable lines..."I just scored a goal, you fuckin' has-been!" "He challenged the Chiefs! Callin' us names!" Too bad this great documentary was only ten minutes!
These were part of a 2-part series that I produced for Comcast SportsNet in Philadelphia back in 2002. It originally aired (on our 6:30 newscast) on the actual 25th anniversary of the movie's release. I wanted to make it a three-parter. The rare footage...you should see what didn't make it!
You're welcome. All the participants really liked how we treated the movie. I think a lot of people were expecting us to yuk it up. We chose to delve into the popularity of the film, and find answers to rumors that circulated for years about stuff behind the scenes. There are a couple of things we could never put on the air!
Wow 30 years after and it s still the number 1 film on hockey and the hanson brothers continues to attract big crowd in arena around north america incredible
Michael Ontkean did not participate in the interviews. When you do a story, you write around your sound, and your video. The Hansons are never mentioned in this piece, either.
Happy 35th Anniversary, "Slap Shot"!
