I was on the last show and i loved the experience. you had to have written consent to be allowed to participate anyway. The Barber is world renowned Barber John Wyndham who has a shop in Hornchurch.
Thanks for uploading this. i wonder if anyone has a copy of the last show i would love to see it again. Cheers ;-)
lol it is amazing how much trouble the BBC got in over it, the show was nearly taken off the air! I never really understood what all the fuss was about to be honest, it is just hair after all. I can still remember the producer phoning me up saying "you've got the BBC into a lot of trouble young lady!" lol hence then having to go on Points of View etc to clear the air about it all.
It's the general way of treating humans shown there. Maybe the hair grows back but that's also true for beat marks. If you don't feel it it doesn't speak for you.
This is not respecting humanity, this is trampling on it. I wonder what degenerated souls have thought this stuff out....
suppose the difference is that in no way was I forced to participate and they had to have the consent of both me and my parents to do it- I willingly took part and could have pulled out of it at any point. I was treated brilliantly both before and after the filming - I certainly don't feel my human rights were abused in any respect.
I was actually meant to get my hair clippered off! but they decided last minute not to, considering I had an awful lot more hair to lose than the boys did.
i go through phases now of growing it real long and then having it all cut short... my hair is presently nearly to my waist, gonna wait for a few more months then get a load taken off and donate it to one of those charities that makes wigs for people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.
Wow! Well, I'd hope you wouldn't cut it because I can tell long hair would look great (well, more of a guess based on the vid xP), but since you are, just be careful with which you choose to donate to. Some are misleading.
OMG I am so shocked this actually got put on - I'm the girl getting her hair hacked off! this was 13 years ago!! I did have to consent to it, both my parents and I had to sign a contract stating it was ok to do this, was very shocked that there was such a negative reaction by the public to it.
I'm very curious, if that's you, why did you do it? I know nothing of the show, just stumbled on to this vid. It must have been a pretty amazing prize!
Haha. I guess I can understand. I asked a friend of mine who they were, and she went nuts. 'THAT'S ANT! OH! I LOVE HIM!' and so on and so forth. I thought it would have been an amazing prize to risk your hair, but I guess up close and personal with your favourite celeb is a worthy prize in itself =P
@hanfanfam When I had her age, my hair looked pretty much like that. And I cut it much shorter than they did at her. She knew what was coming, so it was her own choice. And she wasn't the one that was complaining after all.
A bald Jimmy Hill. Lol

Are you serious? You're comparing a haircut, to being beaten? Wow. There's something wrong with you - get help, please.

Amazing how the shit hit the fan when the "victim" was a girl. Did the editions where the boys got the clippers attract the same level of complaints?

@gamerjr92 Have you ever had long hair? You get used to it,you love it,and you never want to cut it off. It's heartbreaking if you do.
