How did you get the speed to km/h?

It is the default in the UK version (but we use MPH really!).

That's km/h not mph... It is approximately 80 mph.

I tried to get the same mph on Gear 1, but I can only go up to 30. how did you get up to 52 mph before switching gears?

Mine is in km/h, not m/h, so it is probably about the same.

do you use the analogue stick or the d - pad?

The analogue stick: it is more responsive and easier to do "light" cornering.

Ah, then that's your problem. :) Manual gears are always better. BTW: for this car, 2nd gear isn't as good.

I use the standard PS2 controller. As replied in your other comment - I'm not likely to get to the licences I have yet to upload.
